Such precious memories flood my mind when I hear this song. It's the song that I sang to both of my sons ... not just when they were babies ... but throughout their life. Singing to them & dancing with them, through the house. It had only been the Friday afternoon before our youngest sons death ... that he and I danced through the house ... singing the song together. It's now the song I sing to my granddaughter. This one's for you, Adam.
Thanks friends U.S.A. after so much time (from 1968 around) I have succeeded in understanding that that word (Texarkana) refers to a city of the Arkansas to the confinements with the state of the Texas. But a few I envy you, you can see and to feel John when you want while us in Italy and especially me in Genoa we are not able. If somebody of you had the fortune to talk to John, you remember him that to Genoa in the street Val Trebbia 8 have a friend and admirer. Thanks to all of you!
@vonrap East Texarkana is located in Arkansas and West Texarkana is located in Texas. They are two separate small cities. I need to get a map but I was always confused because Neither Texarkana is not that close to Louisiana. I am thinking Louisiana is 30 or 40 miles away from Texarkana.
white trash music?? "cotton fields" was written by blues musician Huddie Ledbetter, better known as Lead Belly. He was African-American. you dumb wanker. piss off

Fogerty is not a great guitar player, but he acquits himself pretty well here.
Part of the reason for the difference in Fogerty's guitar sound seems to be that (at least in this clip) he's ditched the old Kustom Tuck N Roll amp head and cabs for a Rivera Chubster. Totally different sounding amp.
i agree.. he has the voice of someone that should be on i guess records that sound all scratchy.. that is the type of voice that he has and i guess that is y we love him..
Na, they're not monitors. For one monitors are usually at the front, and nowadays they're just little ear peices. You can see those amps are clearly mic'd up so they're his proper amps. Don't know why he leans them back though.
Not the stage monitors... I am referring to his Marshall 4x12 cabinets, they are tipped back against the drum stage. Ive never seen anyone do this before.
Well in this way they can function as speakers for the amps and as stage monitors. When he tilts them up the sound is directed upward so he can hear what he's playing instead of the sound washing forward at leg level.
@MuvoTX Two reasons for the tilt. 1) Yes he can clearly hear the guitar better. 2) He can use the amps as feedback into the guitar for effects. Such as I Put a Spell on You, Born On The Bayou. Mostly for hearing though. NOT for monitors.
This song is beatifull in english, and its cover in spanish is wonderfull.

MuvoTX,those are stage monitors so the musicians can here thereself on stage. Most cabinets are built that way.
