At best, Rudy is ignorant of the history of US involvement in the politics of the Middle East. At worst, he's not, and he's lying. Either way, he's not fit to govern
Ron Paul speaks truth. Take our country back, vote Ron Paul in 08!
Ever notice that YouTube NEVER puts links to Ron Paul videos at the end of the films? Almost like they're trying to lead you away. Even after Ron Paul 2008 videos, I don't see him in there. Why, if I were watching anything else- say, Quake 3 trick videos- there would be quite the correlation, but all I see is stupid time-wasting distractions. Is this just me, though?
As a lifelong democrat and a fellow new yorker, even though rudy is closer to my social views, he is a goose-stepping authoritarian. I salute all of my republican friends who support ethical, freedom loving guys like ron paul against all of these facist-type fake conservatives.
As another person who lived through the attack of 9/11, I think Giuliani should really not speak anymore...at least not against Ron Paul. He cant hang and comes off like an extreme idiot. If he apologizes than I would have more respect for RG.
Quote by Paul - more straight up talk not PC bullshit - "What else do we need to know about the political establishment than that it refuses to discuss the crimes that terrify Americans on grounds that doing so is racist? Why isn't that true of complex embezzling, which is 100 percent white and Asian?"
Yeah right and Senator Craig just has a wide stance in restrooms. Even if it were true, if he can't even manage a newsletter how can he manage a nation?
I am not sure about the magazine article, I will need to read the whole thing in context. Ron Paul is a pretty sraight shooter when it comes to Constituional topics. Nowhere in there does it talk about regulating drugs. Ron Paul never said he wants to legalize drugs. He wants the states to mandate and police it. The Federal government has NO BUSINESS in our lives like this.
rhawk301 - You just said that RP has never wanted to legalize drugs, I don't think you're lying, you just happen to be wrong. Please youtube search "Ron Paul on Morton Downey Jr. Show 1988" and watch the videos. For 25 minutes he argues non-stop for the repeal of ALL DRUG LAWS.
Thats because he believes the federal government should have no influence on it. These are things according to the constitution that should be decided by the states. RP also voted against cracking down on child porn, etc, its not because he is for it, its because its a state issue.
amysticalmoose - OK but in that Morton Downey Jr video he argues against ALL DRUG LAWS FOR 25 MINUTES. He wasn't saying 'federal drug laws' or 'not crack and heroin'. HE WANTS ALL DRUGS LEGAL.
philipmontag you are right, but a little misguided I think. Ron Paul, as federal regulator (i.e. congress), wants no laws regulating drugs. Therefore what you see as "legalizing" drugs is a real attempt to remove the laws making them illegal. Drugs, just like Alcohol, are being prohibited through federal laws and regulation. Luckily not through an amendment yet. RP simply wants federal government out of citizens' lives.
On a more personal note for RP, I think it is clear what his views on getting Federal control out of our lives is. I also share those same views. I believe that we have enough laws on our books right now to handle abusers of drugs just like we do for alcohol and cigarettes. You can't drive drunk in a car, no more than you can smuggle cigarettes or booze across state lines.
As for the Morton Downey show I think RP makes it perfectly clear that drugs, just like alcohol should not be prohibited at the Federal level. It simply makes a Federal case for drug dealers and criminals trafficking in narcotics. It increases the size of the DEA which we do not need.
There wasn't a "drug" problem until Washington prohibited it. Considering that 98% of "Marijuana" found by the DEA was ditchweed or non-cultivated plants, this shows you there really isn't a drug problem, it's an agricultural problem. We should have hired farmers to clean up the fields, not law enforcement with guns. Maybe we should have more hemp products and allow companies to grow it just like cotton?
Incarcerating people simply for Marijuana or drugs possession is also insane. This proves that these laws are not useful and borders on insane and increases our jails by a large percent for no reason. Its like pre-crime to make someone guilty for having a product of some sort, that they "will" be committing a crime or something.
I suppose if law enforcement can make a good case that you are going to hurt someone else because of your possession then that is one thing (like being caught with a nuclear reactor or something), but otherwise hands off.
One last point philipmontag is that RP is all about getting government OUT OF OUR LIVES. This means NOT making laws for everything we do. RP wants as few laws as possible. Lets all read the constitution and follow it, we would be a whole lot better off politically speaking.
Something I've noticed, Ron Paul seems in peace with himself, as if TRUTH naturally gave it to him. I can't say the same about the rest of the anxious candidates.
It's not that Blitzer is a moron, it is because he is a Zionist Jew. Blitzer used to work for the Israeli Haaretz Newspaper before he came to CNN. He's going to twist and marginalize Paul's (anyone's) valid argument that American foreign policy and our blind support of brutal Israeli occupation and offensive military intervention (like in Lebanon) was the primary cause of the attacks (as Bin Laden even said).
wolf blitzer is a jackass notice how he tries to smear ron paul but instead of backing down ron bitch slaps wolf and tells it like it is, i thought they were going to loose the feed but ron paul said what he had to say and I am happy about that
Thank God Ron Paul finally said something about that stupid unpatriotic if you don't back your countries political decisions. Pretty sure thats the point of democracy, to be able to state different opinions.
Giuliani's made millions with his law firm's representaion of America's enemies like Saudi Arabia (the land of 911 terrorists) and Venezuelan president, Hugo Chávez. Maybe if he spent more time reading the 911 commission report and less time filling his pockets with blood money, he would be less inclined to make stupid statements during the GOP debates.
Fantasic clip.... and Thanks you CNN for actually giving him a fair chance to properly speak about his thoughts with a decent amount of time and being respectful, unlike the Hannity BS!
what hannity BS? he wasnt even in the building. it was a presidential debate, you get a limited amount of time for each answer. if he was incapable of expressing himself properly then that is his fault.
he wasn't incapable of expressing it smarty, he just didnt get to say all he wanted to say in 30 seconds genius. that doesnt give anyone the right to twist what he said and slander him.
hahahaha... Guliani says "911" and he gets a thunder of applause. Hes a liar, and a user, and a crossdressing fag. NYPD and NYFD HATE the little weasel.
Wow...the more I hear this guy, the more I like...He's telling it like it is...What's wrong with saying we need to examine our foreign policy? I'm sick and tired of all this rah rah false patriotism and trying to put down people who have the courage of their convictions. Maybe I'll register Republican. What's the downside of Ron Paul?
If you're a democrat it's that he advocates an extremely small federal government. It's just hard to realize this given that he's given little time to talk about domestic issues, at least compared to foreign policy.
Don't let it stop you though. He's the only one with the guts to correct our foreign policy.
Ron Paul knows what he is talking about, Giulianni is running on 9/11 in any issue that arises. It's time for Giulianni to read the 9/11 commission report before demanding apologies from the only candidate that shows promise to this great nation.
The part about "...as someone who lived through the 9-11 attacks can tell you...". Come on, there were thousands of people who lived through the attacks, and many who suffered for living.
Giuliani uses any excuse to remind people that HE was in New York during the attacks so he has some kind of trump on the facts I guess.
If I had any doubt about Ron Paul, it has just been erased with his statements here. I intend to switch to a repulican just to get this guy in office.
