soldiers are not only trained to fight,they are also trained with other professions. Most of the transportation routes are destroyed,there's no point to accept foreign rescue teams while they can't even reach the spot. Chinese government had to send in airborne troops and supplies. From military perspective,airborne has a high possiblity of casualty,we appreciate what you trying to do but we just don't want you to take that risk. Besides our soldiers know our country much better than foreigners

They ignored 'signs' of Earthquake because of Olympic festival and r not accepting professional rescue teams from other countries...

I heard that most of dam near Sichan has crucial problems cuz of Earthquake but it is also ignored by Chinese government...

crocreek, you only heard and saw what you want to hear and see - anything negative about China. Have you checked all the facts and media reports including big Western news agencies`s? It is stupid for you to say that an earthquake can be predicted with `signs` - ask people living in Reno and CA. Check terrains, weather, damage in transportation,you`ll understand why only Chinese troops are efficient for initial rescue. Sorry no resources for interpreters and time to teach local terrains yet!

I just heard that Chinese government announced there r abt 400dam have serious problems abd send 2000 soldiers to there..

they don't have even basic 'sniff dog' in there and how they can find burried victim?

They should do it when earthquake damaged dam at the begining.

And....I know Chinese soldiers r good..but they r trained for fighting not saving people professionally..and not dealing with cracking dam.

And Chinese government had already sent 10000 soldiers there, most of the trafic was destoryed by the earthquake, they can only get there by ships, that's y chinese government r not accepting these professional secure teams.

We can not prevent natural 'Earthquake' but we can avoid it.

and...I don't have to argue abt rescue team anymore..cuz it already passed 72 hours.

72 hours after earthquake is crucial point for suvival victims ..but it is passed anyway.

Hey, Actually, the Government send 10,000 troops to Sichuan to rescue people. They also request professional rescue teams from other provinces. All of those people start rescue half hour after earthquake, especally, the premier Wen. Chinese soidiers help people in any disaster every single time. I know you didnot hear about that,because you have not experience. But I did. Please donot just say that they are not good for dealing with cracking dam. At lease you need say you do not know.

japan & Taiwan rescue team got permission first but it was after 72hours.

they may cannot help victims..but they r experieced professionals..means... at least they r better than anybody else for earthquake rescue.
