well u can launch any car as high as you want to. The questions are weather or not your transmission, clutch, and drive shaft can withstand the punishment. If you can then there you go........But believe me, any cars that do drag racing, are pain in the ass, you don't want to buy them.....
You are wrong. Matt from DR holds the record for the fastest VR4/Stealth in the world. In fact he juts broke his own record this weekend with back to back passes of 8.88@165 & 8.81@166. His car makes 950awhp with a very flat power band.
I know it's American. But only it's name. Like i said, it's built in Nagoya Japan. The technology is identical in both cars. I have a friend who has one and on his papers it says it's built in Nagoya. Unless they changed assembly plants later on. His is a 1994 RT TT. And my VR-4 is built there too so I'm sure about the Mitsubishis.
at the time the chysler corp was using mitts to build there transmissions but everything else is american desing and parts but you are correct there are some jap parts but chrysler stopped using mitts in 98.
lol... its not an american car.. the 3000gt and the stealth rt are the same motor produced by mitsubishi... the parts u buy for your mitsubishi are the same as the dodge.. everything is interchangeable the only difference is the body styling

7500 to 20000? That's bullshit. I can get a car sanded, primed, and painted professionally in any color your can think of for 2500-4500. Whoever actually paid 20,000 for a paint job got owned, unless his paint job required hundreds of hours of work.
Oh no no lol. I'm not the one that does the painting, I just know a shop that does it locally for pretty good prices. This dude I met at a car meet took a TSi there and got it painted candy apple red and he said he paid $4000. It was a full paint job, they removed door panels and everything and painted pretty much every crevice according to that guy, and it looked legit. I just think $20,000 for a paint job is obviously BS. You could buy a new car for that kind of money.

Kandy apple red with good materials and removing everything should cost about 7k depending on the car. I own a Mitsubishi 3000 GT VR-4 in my country but i dont understand whats the difference with VR-4 and SL and GTO??? and how can i make my 3000 GT MEGA FAST???
The VR4 (awd TT), SL, Base (base, and SL are fwd dohc non-turbos) are trim levels in USA. GTO is the Japanese name for 3000GT. They have different names for the trim levels also such as, SR( I believe it's an auto trans. nonturbo), MR (TT)...all GTO's are awd whether TT or NA.
she doesnt have the money to get a vr4, i've told her to, but o well. the 300hp to the front wheels will make for one hell of a car for a street race tho, less drivetrain loss than my awd

Best part is the ending and a good reason, STOCK shortblock. 3SX might hold the current world record but their internals in the shortblock has been modified whereas matt monent was bonestock. But it dont matter both dynamic racing and 3sx kicks royal ass anyways. I do alot of business with 3sx and all good people.
That was a pretty amazing collection of cars. I'm a 3000 owner myself. Unfortunately none of those are the fastest 3S, 3sx has the fastest 3000gt in the world. It ran a 9.6 at darlington and it is only a N/A front wheel drive and pushes over 900 horses!
It's a decent 9 second run, but since DR can't build an engine, it blew up on the second run!! They might get in the 8's if they figure out how to build an engine that makes it more than 2 passes!!!
I love this vid only cause of the 3000GT in it not so much the stealths. I hate stealths don't ask why it is a long story I just do. Great song and awesome 3000GT's 4 stars.

10 secs is fast and all but these are not the "fastest" 3000gt's. Last I heard the current record is 9.55 Seconds
And there are 0 3000gt's that over 1000hp that i'm aware of currently. There are 2-3 projects in the works. but none yet.

umm...the 3sx car that ran the 9.6 is awd VR4 (called T4), not fwd na....thats (T2)and the fastest it's gone is like 10.1

It's a decent 9 second run, but since DR can't build an engine, it blew up on the second run!! They might get in the 8's if they figure out how to build an engine that makes it more than 2 passes!!!

Not true, i own a vr4 and an Evo IX and i can tell you that the evo is as good or better than the vr4. but my favourite is still the vr4

I love this vid only cause of the 3000GT in it not so much the stealths. I hate stealths don't ask why it is a long story I just do. Great song and awesome 3000GT's 4 stars.
