Someone try to still the motor off the rider they cut all the wires to the motor i got some of them back together but i still have like 2 more wires i can not find were they go. It will not start and it has a new battry in it can you help me out. thanks

  • Dony! You are the man! I have learned tons from your videos! If you get a chance check out my Polaris trail boss video on my page! It is running fantastic and your time making great videos is a big part why! The folks at my local Polaris dealer and you have taught me so much! Many Thanks!

  • @Deadbuck73 you're welcome!

  • I have a 75 ariens snow blower with a Tecumseh engine... all the parts are available including the service manual... great little machine to fix up. I have a cold start video on my channel... great video Dony

  • Do they have emissions for Chainsaws? I know a 1 cylinder lawnmower puts out more pollution than a six cylinder car, but they can't do much to change a chainsaw emissions

and it depends on what oil mix you use

  • Dony can you please make a video on how to replace the flywheel key on a weed eater please please love your channel by the way

  • @TiTAMYRAiNBOw ok, it's winter here so it will be next summer

  • I expect for the 100th episode of QA going live on TV, internationally, with famous guests, don wearing a tuxedo and a big band backing everything up.

good job don, hope we'll see thousands and thousands more of these videos!

  • @seasonedtoker lol, maybe you can set it up in your country lol

  • Hi Dony, another good video, thanks. I was thinking when you were showing the non-adjustable MTD idler arm about the possibility of cutting a "hole, slot" to make it adjustable. Not sure if the same bolt would work but I'm sure that would be a easy fix. Your thoughts!??

  • @kthompmke that could be possible

  • Friday 13th is always a bad day for me. My motherboard of my laptop died yesterday :( Well now im using the old laptop of my bro. I changed the Wireless card, harddisk on it. Both came out my laptop :)

  • Hey Dony maybe you can help me out. I have a 16 hp briggs and stratton cast iron single cylinder and what im looking for is the two long springs that hook to the gov shaft. the shops where I live are no help as all they want to do is sell me a new rider. The motor is on a old yr42 yazoo rider. model 326437type0318-01code7906201. thanks for any help you can send my way.

  • Hey I have a Husqvarna weedeater and fuel isn't in the primer build but it starts and runs fine. I guess it's nothing to worry about?

  • also about the fuel flow problem, check the gas cap vent. ive seen some blowers that die out as soon as they are started, but with the gas cap off they run great.

  • I have a old 1991 MTD blower I bought it new and it still runs very little rust . I went out to look at a few new MTD blower they look and fell like junk compared to the old ones . I am still waiting for my recall parts to come in on my 2010 Ariend 13hp 26 inch blower . It needs new cables they keep freezing up and the one to turn the discharge chute has been complete redefined. I have heard ther is a recall coming out for that. Have you heard of recals for Ariens Blowers??

  • the shop looks great good job

  • @taterheadkiley thank you sir

  • Don my snowblower is doing backfire when after I turn it off.

  • Great video as usual Don.

  • @Lucas69522 That's probably a lead battery which sulfates and dies if you don't keep it charged all the time, fyi. A small solar trickle charger($20) is nice. A cheap voltmeter($20) is huge help, though one with an amp fuse is better($40). See if you can download a user manual if you haven't. Bad gas equals carburetor problems; use stabil/fuel stabilizer in the gas or use fresh gas. Great to see a young person using his time constructively. Thanks!

Beer is queer. Be real, be sober.

  • Yeah, My outboard motor had some problems it was hard to troubleshoot it it run fine

at idle give it some gas didnt run, fuel pump need to be fix at first, fix it had same problem

use 2 differert fuel pumps same problem than I remember these guys could not get they

motor started than walk back, they did open they vent in the gas tank. I was using a auto vent

gas tank then change gas tank than run fine. for 2 years I had to deal with it troubleshooting

on a boat it was a nightmare.

  • Intek has not got a very good reputation for reliability.Lower weekend warrior grade engines.

  • Nice video!

  • Dony I have a black&Decker smart charger and it has a 2,6,an 12 amp setting.what should I set it on for a lawn tracter .thanks

  • @Lucas69522 This is a very unknowable question. B&D smartcharger? Meant to charge what? You are asking for a setting to charge for a lawn tractor.....What are the battery specs???? Geese, do some research on your own.

  • @Lucas69522 it's best for your battery at the lowest setting

  • Comment removed

  • @Lucas69522 Amps will change how fast it charges. If you don't care, then 2amps is the slowest and easiest on the battery. If it's not getting hot, then faster should be OK. But you have to be careful that you use the right voltage. You also can run into trouble using standard charger on lithium cells though I guess it wouldn't be lithium. Good luck.

    Be real, be sober.

  • @donyboy73 Could you do a video on how to drill out a rivet?

  • @TheMatt1245 sure will

  • @donyboy73 Thanks

  • got an old Snow king from 65? and a little Arien`s from the 70-80s.

  • @jeepers2655 nice

  • ???????????> Dony, on the non adjustable pulleys can't you just replace the pulley and put a new belt? Great Q&A . Cheers

  • @Jdcap26 usually ends up being the belt or tension spring

  • Question on the newer Briggs Intek engines on snowblowers. I heard a lot of people been complaining about the push rods getting bent on the brand new ariens snowblowers that home depot have been selling.. What is causing these problems? I have two new Ariens with these engines. Briggs use to be good what happened?

  • @bombidude i'm not sure why but could be a bad batch with low grade metal??

  • Good stuff. Hopefully it's snowing a bit more there and business is picking up. Thanks for all your advice!

  • @kravenofspider always busy, either with videos or repairs, learning to mig weld so you will see vids on that soon

  • ya donyboy73 here in south west Michigan its about 18° f, and I have no school!

  • Shop looks nice.

  • @mrbkrsmiley thank you

  • Hey Buddy....just sayin hello.....great vid!

  • @HappyScrappy47 thanks man

  • great video as always dony....keep up the good work and stay warm......its gona be in the upper 60's F on monday....have a great weekend sir

  • @backwoodsctryboy much colder here, lol

  • You rule,Dan.....

  • @elpunto231 thanks

  • hey hi see at the end of your show you are talking about the shut off valve mine is leaking and i was wondering why never took it of but i tight it and was still leaking i didn,t know their was o ring in there ill take it off today and change my o ring in it i hope ill cure my problem thx dony and continue the good work

  • Is there a way I can send you the picture somewhere? It starts real good but it needs choke as I said. There is a screw called "needle valve" (bottom front), would that be the one I need to adjust? There is also one called "idle valve" (top back) and a third one unknown, it's on the top front close to fuel intake. I also wish you could show us how to clean or rebuild this carb one day. Thanks again for being so generous.

  • @patryric they can be generic or oem. i get them from my distributor, usually only come in 1/4" diameter

  • @donyboy73 You must be talking about the fuel valve I suppose? I was not the one asking.

  • Great! Are those plastic fuel valves generic, or from specific mfg? If generic, got a good source/website for 'em? Do you know offhand if they come in various sizes for different tubing?

    Thanks!

  • @richardwernst yout can get them anywhere stens, rotaty, silver streak, briggs, kohler

  • I notice that you are mostly repairing MTDs and Tecumseh motors. Is that because they break more often? I do not recall seeing a Toro snowblower and Briggs motors in your videos. Speaking about Toro, I have found that if I give some choke it runs better (50%). I presume there is not enough gaz coming in then. I think that the shop played with the adjustements. I found a picture of my carb which is nothing like what you usually show us, no bowl or nothing, just a big assembly. Not sure how to...

  • @patryric i will be posting a video on tuesday of a very similar carb

  • like always a great vidio don.

    Sander.

  • @dutchlawnmowerman thanks

  • I could use advice on these Honda models carburetor concerns, R&R and rebuilds. Thank you again, robert. I may be moving to Calgary soon to work for Suncor. Hope it happens.

    peace, robert

  • Hello Dony, greetings from southern Cal. I am looking forward to the day that you have your own television show.Thank you for all you do for us. You are very detailed in your videos, and we need those details to fix our stuff. You're the best. The number 1 small engine here is Honda. Everyone wants one of these on their equipment. Do you have videos on these GX models? 4,5,5.5,8,11or 13 HP models.

  • Hy from Croatia. Do you know where this is?
