Aww i tried marrying Cicero and it would not work . I'm guessing its because his voice actor never recorded the dialogue for marriage. -Sadface-.So i moved on and i tried this on some of the men in the thieves guild and that won't work either? Do i need to complete the questline first or are the people in guilds just not marriable??

@IronMaiden881000 Unfortunately, no one from the thieves guild is marriageable as far as I'm aware of. However, most of the members of the Companions are marriageable.

I am going to tell you something scary in skyrim. If your character is a guy then go to the Orc stronghold called "Dashnikh Yal" when you enter it look for the male Orc that is training with his axe. Convince home to join your adventures by persuading him. After that you can marry him.

i had too do this for Lydia...i even read it was written into the code that you could marry her originally,but due too a glitch or something you cant...i always wanted to adventure and kill things with my wife,that was my first dream when i first heard of marriage in skyrim. and im now (and still) very happy xD. yay for fixing something so not really cheating but still in a way cheating...yay? xD

@CragynosII Theoretically . . . but unfortunately i have heard from multiple people that they tried it and it didn't work. Maybe one day someone will make a mod for this, if not Bethesda allowing it themselves ;)

@Zora945 Yeah, this is a common bug that occurs. To fix it, try and talk to your spouse IMMEDIATELY after getting married (the moment you say 'I do" to the priest guy), and then tell your spouse where you want to move to. But from what you say, it sounds like you weren't able to talk to her since she went away too fast. Try and reload again and try to get to her as fast as possible before she gets to the door. Hope this helps.

@Yamiryu2 You know, there is mod out on the Nexus right now that allows you to customize the appearance of nearly every NPC. It allows you to do things like change their hairstyle and color, face, inventory, and virtually everything else. So If you like Ysolda but not her short hair, then maybe you should check that mod out.

@Ohmygawdbreadquanda On the wiki it says that he is in fact normally marriageable, so I have no idea why. Try not using the console commands at all since he is a valid candidate already (and like I said, using the console command may cause glitches). Your best bet would be to reload the save before you hired him. Then load that save, go up to him and equip the Amulet, and then hire him. If you just do this without using the console commands then he should work. Hope this helps

@capnkevy007 yes, it is possible to star and even advance through quests using the console commands. I don't know what the code is for that particular quest, so I would check on the wiki or on UESP.

@MakingCoffeeMetal If you really want a male high elf to marry, you can use the codes on Aicantar, Calcelmo's nephew in Markarth (he has a voiceset that allows marriage).

He's a minor part of a quest where he might get killed, but to make sure he doesn't die, just type in the console: "setessential 0001402E 1" without quotes.

Here's to hoping for more racial diversity in marriage partners in the coming DLCs. :)
