When I saw this movie for the first time and when the last words were spoken and this song started... I sat in front of my TV and tears were literally streaming down my face. The ending had already made me so sad because of this whole 'we suffered and died, and no one will ever know' thing. And then the song finished me off and I couldn't hold back the tears anymore.

I even bought the Gangs of New York OST only because of this one song...
