GGGGGGAAAAAWWWWWWWWWSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH.....what a song. I remember leaving my second job only to rush home driving and listening to this song to later hit the clubs.
Wow there was once a time where people actually played House music on the radio. I dont know which one I love more, the 80's or 90's, i'll take either one over this shit on the airwaves now! OMG....I feel so sorry for this new generation.
@Blakmajik78 "The airwaves" meaning the radio, right? And there's your mistake right there. Judging the vast diversity of today's music scene based on the 1% represented on the radio is guaranteed to give you an inaccurate picture. Getting radio airplay is no longer the end goal of most music artists. With social networking making direct-to-fan contact possible, radio is slowly becoming obsolete.
Hey CeCe fans ABC is interested in CeCe being on the next season of "Dancing with the Stars" so please go the ABC's website and go to "Dancing with the Stars" and vote that you want to see CeCe Peniston on the next season.
this song just reminds me of dancing on "mtv the grind" in 1993,wit host eric nies, see me dance on lil louie vega live on mtv's grind late 90's i'm the chick dressed in all black, also check out my 1st world premiere video on B E T "BABY BE MINE" THE REMIX WIT TEDDY RILEY&BLACKSTREET i'm the lite skin chick wit long black curly hair rubbin on channsey hannibal,i'm walkin thru the alley&sittin on the fire essape, great memories and awesome song.
I loved this album! In '94, when "I'm not over you" came out, i was hooked. I know that was the second single, but i loved it...and when she followed that joint up with this one, i was hooked. She was stunning, and her voice is amazing.
I know! That is how I first got into House music before I discovered the internet! House music similar to this song is still recorded. You just have to know where online to look.
I love all her music. I love this site because it keeps me visually in contact with the great music of yesterday. Nothing compares to ole school music because it reminds you of a time where life was more peaceful. Love might not last but, it didn't do all the things going on today. You just bowed out gracefully when it was over.
does anyone know where i can download Cece Penistions - all that i need from the OST The Associate with Whoopi Goldberg please... i really love that song, could someone help me out please, thank you so much :)
correction j-lo did the dance version of movie "flashdance" i put fame "whoops! anyway this song reminds me of dancing on "MTV THE GRIND" and i did a spin like j-lo and the original dancer from movie "flashdance" once i got accepted on the show.
i miss the 90's and dancing at the palladium nite club in nyc,and dancing on mtv the "GRIND" with host ERIC NIES ce ce peniston was recently on the wendy williams show singing "finally" my favorite song cuz when i got casted for mtv the grind,i was spinning around like j-lo did in video for remake of fame lol!
For anyone wondering what CeCe has been up to......you have to check out the NEW TRACKS she just put up on her myspace page from her upcoming album....HOT HOT HOT myspacecom/cecepeniston1
@djgantman So, celebrating 3 decades like myself!?!
I was always kept up2date w/anything she put out by watching Xtendamix (it was a video show devoted to RnB/hiphop/reggae on Muchmusic in the 90's)...I think Master T (the host) liked her alot too!
I loved her voice!!! She is one of a few singers that had that Club/R&B sound. And it translated well. I liked this video 'cause one of my favorite parts is at the end when she's doing the butterfly with the dancers.
Yes, the roaring 90ies was the best decade musically: especially for dance music as it fused all elements of house, techno, hip, hop, RnB, trance, etc..
This joint here has got RnB, Hip Hop, House, EuroDisco elements in a Pop robe....it is a great piece of Dance/Pop music.
Irresistible! How can anyone not enjoy dancing to this?
THIS WAS MY FAVOURITE CE CE PENISTON SONG EVER! I love the groove and the stomping baseline which makes this tracks such a sole teaser. The lyrics talk about the "high" of meeting someone who shares the same taste. No wonder this track is so uplifting! This is proper "dancefloor" for me, an extinct genre between the bpm of house and hip hop. This is my favourite genre of music and my favourite era, too! PERIOD!
The european video an remix it's better by faar, but this is really cool too
