Im sorry dude,im no hater but the way you use that guitar in context with that pedal is just lame and unimaginative. It blatantly needs some kind of repitive riff kind of vibe.Your playing at 5.15 was a bit better.I want the pedal board and pedals though.
@QAeternus no but they prove how stupid you are that you cant even read the comments that all agree with me that this guy knows nothing about how to use this pedal properly and does nothing but play the gayest music ever! read the comments you ridiculous moron!!! and oh yeh, jazz is way cooler than rockn roll you say? care to take a poll on that one??? fuckin loser...
@mainlymusicman Wow. Let`s "take a poll" on what kind of retard actually thinks JewTube comments are important or relevant to anything... teenage virgin losers who think Failbook and FagSpace is actually important, thats who.
man, how about changing your playing when you want to show how this pedal works. to me it´s like playing "blowin´in the wind" when you want to demonstrate a overdrive pedal...
Screw This! Play Metroid Prime Music, I swear everytime I find a synth, octaver, or harmony pedal people give you the wrong intention of the pedal and they hold it back. Heck, you could make your guitar sound like a freaking keyboard for crazy technological music and they play normal music which isn't bad but shouldn't be used with a freakin Guitar Synthesizer! That's why its called a synthesizer!!!!!
If there's one thing to complain about in this demonstration, it's not the playing -- it's the fact that the presenter clearly doesn't have much experience with synthesis and claims that somehow increasing the attack time of the pedal will give you "Moooooooog"-like sounds. Uh, sure, dude. When I think Moog, the first thing that comes to my mind is the ladder filter, not the ADSR envelope.
I play a mothership and I admit it can be tricky, however you can get some really cool things happening with it if you spend the time. BTW I also play a jazz style a bit more fusion kinda Greg Howe ,Shawn Lane. Works for me.
no shit!! the guy has no clue. instead of playing nice slow swells or melodies, he plays freakin lead jazz guitar, which sucks to begin with, let alone adding a synth effect to it!!!
You have no clue. What "nice slow swells" are you going to play with a monophonic synth? You can only play one note at a time. It's only natural for idiots to hate what they don't understand. Put down the Fripp and Eno records, step away from the effects pedals, and start practicing instead of droning and ripping on guys for having better chops than you.
Like I've said hundreds of times before -- if a lie is repeated enough times, it takes on an appearance of fact. Naturally, being a fool, you fall in line with the "10,000 people can't be wrong" mentality. You might enjoy jazz if you tried listening to it with a set of non-myopic ears.
jazz sucks to begin with but anyone who uses this pedal on it should not be playing guitar. this is down right hard on the ears. and has nothing to do with whart this pedal is about, dumbass!
Synth players are more into programming textures then riffs, that's what make electronic music different and cool. This guy is wanking all over the place so we can barely hear the texture of this oscillator. I think that's why people are complaining.
i have the pigtronix, but i just don't understand why it doesn't work with me! when i play, the release hardly last for a couple of seconds, so i don't have that sustained "faded in" sound, violin-type that i love...and the release doesn't have to turn off as long as i play a note? (sensitivity seems to have no real matter)...am i stupid or my pedal isn't alright?
the guitarist keeps playing the same thing over. he is not interesting. does not do the pedal justice. you could really do crazy experimental NONE technical and very creative stuff with it. FUCK SCALES its not creative. just repeating a pattern you've learned.
Well it's not good for like shredding, but it works perfect for like deep intense simple rhythm. If you know who Daft Punk is, they play guitar on all their songs, but they use synth systems like this. Plus these guys are using the pedal for solos, so you can't really get a good idea of what it does.
Dave! I met you at NGW. I was the kid with the blonde hair in the store who was asking you all those questions about your FX pedals... you know the one who was wowed out by the fact that your Mothership could simulate a moog? I need to buy one of these things.

@mainlymusicman the rest of the comments have no bearing on how wrong you are.
1.) My friend has this synth and we get awesome tones out of it.
2.) Jazz is way cooler then whatever hipster bullshit you listen to
3.) You are as glorious winged faggot

You can't see how cool this pedal is if you just keep playing a guitar like it's just a guitar.
