I have after effects programs, but when I import a video, the program takes the audio off and I don't know how to get it back...

it depends on the file like in sony vegas movie studio I sometimes cant play mp4 audio so check the file or turn up the decibels..... thats all I can think of, or go to media converter and convert the file to an audio file and just import the video and audio file.

While your editing in after effects, my audio goes off too. But after your done with the editing and import the file into Adobe Premiere, the audio is there with the effects and all

you have to use RAM preview to have the audio, otherwise your audio wont be play.

change the options styles and youll have some play and next frame butons and under it it has thingy put it to Ram preview and then pick the last arrow and there you go you can Fing hear it

After Effects is a video effects program. Not a sound effects program. There's a fix to this somehow to get After Fx to render the audio, but I really don't care about that. I have designer Sound Fx so I just add my own sound fx. What you would want to do though, is is put the video with no sound in windows movie maker, and then put the original in the audio section, so it takes the audio from video 1 and puts it into video 2. If this helped, reply and sub me :)

Yeah well I did it for a test, to get the whole Star Wars feel, as I hadn't tried the moving Star Wars text before. Can't say I care that the intro is longer than the clip as its a test, not a short film.

I'm actually not too sure about Final Cut. I only use After Effects and Premiere. If not in Final Cut, then I believe you can in Vegas, which a lot of people seem to use.
