I had one mounted on a Beretta 96 Vertec and the carbon fiber retaining pin sheared right off after only 10 rounds. Didn't shoot myself, but made me rethink using it. Maybe the aluminum lower receiver had something to do with it?

the tactical stock was originaly intended for a full auto glock and that would be the glock 18. since any glock can now be converted to full auto, with the addition of a full auto kit, many use the stock on their 17

full autoing any glock with a kit is illegal bro. dont get caught at the range with it. they never made pre ban glock 18s for the civilian market. the only time you can find one legally outside of the military armories are registered class 3 demo guns at ffl dealers that sold to military and LE branches.

they were never made for the civilian market ever. even before the auto ban. you can only get full autos that were legally made pre 87 and available on the civilian market pre 87. glock 18s were NEVER made available on the civilian market with only one exception. ffl civilian gun dealers with a class 3 license, proper paperwork to sell to police and military AND papers from glock allowing them to have a demo glock 18 to allow perspective buyers to try out can legally own one.

@LiftedElephant macs, techs, Thompsons, if it was manufactured and made available to the civilian market openly pre 87 they are legal to own. with the proper paperwork. the g18 was never openly sold to the civilian market ever. and therefore is not legal. the only way to get one legally these days is basically

1. have a demo gun

2. illegally convert one

3. buy one off the black market.

number one is the only one that wont land you five years in prison if your caught by atf.

the reason i mentioned this is because it happened to me more than once. the locking mechanism in the folding grip is just to small and not adequate. for all the owners of this grip, check out how much polymer is actually holding the grip on to the rail of your gun. if you feel it's sufficient then rock on. if not then make sure it's sufficiently secured. what i did was i drilled a small hole and use a strap to secure it to the triger guard

i noticed that the guy was holding the pistol grip instead of the colapsable front grip attachment. is this because this thing is dangerous and tends to slide out off the rails and in front of the barel?

I did not shoot the movie, but I was told that the Glock malfunctioned on the day of filming once pressure was applied when pulling downwards on the folding grip. The folding grip is a safe and popular product, and might only be dangers when people do not take the necessary precautions when handling a firearm. @jvvillar noone is ever trained to shoot a pistol with a vertical foregrip... thats why he held it like a normal pistol..
