  • What a wonderful ensemble! Why aren't the ringers wearing gloves?

  • it's easier to grab and play the handbells

  • (cont.) The concert celebrated the 15th anniversary of the organization. It featured a ballet (Balleteatro Nacional) and the group TEPEU that specializes in music from different countries of Latin America. Later in the concert there was also a voice choir and at the end there were musicians playing with Vivace traditional Puerto Rican music.

  • may i know where are these ringers from? (:

  • Lixandra,

Thanks for your message. This handbell choir is from Puerto Rico. The organization, founded in 1991, consists of three choirs of different levels and its name is "Coro Polifónico Juvenil de Campanas" (something like Youth Polyphonic Handbell Choir). The choir in the video is the advanced or concert choir named "Vivace". The video shows parts of a concert this past Christmas at the theater "Centro de Bellas Artes" in San Juan (Capital of Puerto Rico). (cont.)

  • wow! Who is this choir and where can I find them online!
