I'm assuming that the British lady married to the Pakistani man wasn't born with the name Shahnazz. It reminds me of what a wise Black American Muslim once said to me when we where talking about converts adopting other cultures upon converting to Islam: "Look, I converted to Muslim, not to Pakistani or Yemeni" lol
Come on you should be glad that she is muslim. Just tell me where in quraan and hadiss it says that wahabi word
Do you know wahabi is a nick name of wahab and you wahab is allah name and how dare you call allah name wrong. Please do not put you self in to suni and wahabi be a muslim. And to be a mulim allah says keep your iman good pray your namaz give zakat keep fast during ramazan and do hajj. And do not go to fatwas it is not good playing with you iman may allah give you and every one hadiy
@ModePedo You are such a coward. You only insult yourself and whoever raised you. Your behavior is disgusting and pathetic and you have no idea of how ridiculous you sound.
@ModePedo great for you--by the time you get your turn with the sexy bikini clad lady you would probably have to double bag your tool because you know you would NOT have been the first guy to have banged her..and youre right...i dont like women who dress like tents either.
@ModePedo #1 Pakistani women dont wear the face veil nor is it worn in somalia or sudan....please get your facts straight. But if you take offense at women wearing this type of dress then you must be very comfortable with women wearing close to nothing to sell a cheeseburger or car on televison...most non-muslim men do not respect women anymore that is why there are so women being used for sex and thrown away like trash.
@ModePedo The woman who accepts the burqa or nikab does not know her religion...and those who wear it say in saudia or even UAE...do so because of cultural reasons..as does the woman in this documentary..but it is no incumbent upon a woman to wear it. When you know your religion, whatever the religion may be, no one can force you to do what you arent commanded to do.
THE KORAN DOES NOT state that a woman must cover her face!!!!!!!!! when did the burka ever become a form of hijab? it is wrong and as a muslim woman I would NEVER wear it.
muslims can practice their religion insofar that it doesn't violate our western principles. that's where our principles prevail.
in the west, you need a face. you have to be part of the community, people need to see who you are.
the niqab is about erasing a woman's identity, since she doesn't deserve one as a subhuman. you want to wear a tent and a ninja mask--MOVE TO YEMEN AND SEE WHAT LIFE IS REALLY LIKE AS A MUSLIM WOMAN. it's hell. otherwise, you live in the west and FOLLOW OUR LAW
she said she felt lost but unfortunately shes actually gone nuts this time ahahah im glad muslims have finally learnt to spend some money on marketing their religion
@sheikhanoor You may be sincere but you should refrian from claiming that non - muslims don't understand the veil because I'm a 'kafir' and pointed out your mistake that the veil is not suppose to be attractive, so it's you who doesn't understand
Just wanted to say..not all Christians are terrified of the burka and niqab. I think it's perfectly fine as long as the decision to wear it is made by the woman.
I actually never really understood why Muslim women chose to cover themselves up but now that I do, I completely respect their decision. But again, only if the woman wearing it has chosen to wear it herself.
Just out of curiosity,... I wonder if Shahnaaz and other niqabis could have an equal opportunity to find a job in UK. Or is being housewife the only option?
It would be very difficult to work as the discrimination laws are not very strong when it comes to such issues. Recently, there has been quite a lot of public debate about this. There was the famous case of teaching assistant, Aishah Azmi, who was sacked for refusing to take off the niqab. Her precise job title was 'ethnic minority achievement curriculum support assistant' and she worked with 6-11 year olds who spoke english as a 2nd language. Tony Blair gave his support to her dismissal.
She says, "It boggles me why people think that we're oppressed because we choose to do this [wear the burka]." I don't think its regarded as oppression when a free woman in a free society chooses to cover herself in that way. What is oppression, however, are conditions in which women have no choice and face severe consequences for not wearing it. I'm all for religious liberty, which means this woman is free to wear the burka but other women are free to say, "No thanks!"
Wearing the Niqab is optional, but the Hijab is a must. Its all part of modesty! They are not opressed nor are they terrorists like the media portrays it. Islam is a religion which wants modesty. Hijab and Burqua is all modesty.
back 30-40 years ago, even in christianity women were encouraged to wear a scarf, the nun wears a similar clothing to muslims women. look at ur own religion, dont start talking about oppression , ever heard of the spanish inquisition.
@active786 yeah except women aren't being beaten by religious police in the streets and it's not enforced by the government.
whining bullshit about christianity doesn't change a thing about islam, so stop arguing like a child. we only have this problem because so many idiot muslims are living in western countries. if your religion was so great, you wouldn't be here in the first place. go wear ninja masks in your own countries and leave us alone.
well just think why is it so wrong that a muslim woman wheres a burka??? its just like what nuns where but how cum its not wrong if a nun wheres it and its wrong is a muslim woman wears it??
@icecreamandchocolate people fear what they dont understand. Teaching people will grow an understanding and from that an acceptance. It doesnt happen over night patience and persistence is required. I am not Muslim but if I got to my husbands family and the hijab is needed I wear it out of deep respect for his family and Islam. :)
@FlyingBlackRice, indeed, actuelly if you know every religion demands modesty, its just sadley that they make such a big deal out of it, for the woman who choose to cover up them selfs. they make a big deal for the muslimwoam!
@FlyingBlackRice Please if you judge Christians not two are like. Only some Christians pick and chose. I am Christian proud and faithful to serve my God. I dress in modesty and live a simple happy life. My husband is Muslim together I respect all religion choices. I follow God, the bible, my heart, and what is right.:)
@littlemoroccan :} Then Mashallah, i am proud of you. (though you don't need my approval to be a good person :P ) I just wish more chirstians followed chirstanity as it was meant to be and perhaps that will keep thier hearts pure. just like every muslim should follow islam as it was meant to be.:} i iwsh you the best of luck in your marraige sister!
It's a thing of beauty that they have accepted Islam into their hearts, but I do have one issue to raise. The sister with the full veil is mistaken in regards to what is required for sisters to wear; the vast majority of scholars are in utter agreement that only hijab (head scarf) is REQUIRED. There's nothing wrong with wearing the veil though, so, if she wants to she can...but it's not required.
Thank you for the video. By the way you are right about other muslim girls being hostle about you wearing the vail, they know that they have to wear it, may allah guid them to the true path.

a challenge to all muslim brothers and sisters.
sura 18 : 94-100.
dhul qarnain /alexander built a wall of iron and copper to protect a weak tribe from yajuj and majuj. the wall will be destroyed on judgement day.
That means the wall should still be here.
show me the wall of iron and copper.
if pyramids are still here after 4000 years, then where is the wall? alexader was born only 2300 years ago.
It proves that Koran is the word of Muhammad not gods.
SHOW ME THE WALL.

can you muslims understand that the burka can be very scary for christians?
Cause if that woman has no choice it is as if she was extinguished from society. As if she was killed.
christians can imagine very well what it could means for a woman to be oppressed to that degree.

But christianity demands modesty to.
Just look at a statue or picture of the virgin Mary?
can you imagine her in a bikini?
sadly christians these days pick and choose what part of the religion they wanto follow.
