Hey Tom - just heard Harold & Cindy hospital on episode 4 of the Teen Wolf TV series - they put a bass and guitars over the top of it. Last place I thought I'd hear a Severed Heads song. Too bad you might not see the 76 cents of royalties they should owe you :-(
@TomEllard It just started screening - Russell (Razorback - 80's MTV) Mulchahy is the director and I wouldn't be tooooo shocked if he was a clifford.
The H&C Hosp remix wasn't part of the official (for sale) soundtrack but it was at a peak of the episode - it underpinned the older werewolf dude succumbing to the 'silver bullet' in the high school carpark and holding up traffic.
Tom Tom Tom where are you please give to all of us what we want more Tom Ellard by the way this is my fav of come visit the big biggot......Tom you have so much talent...peace
um, hey...tom, dont get mad and yell at me, but can i cover this song? im making a cd and i want to do a cover song and this is one of the only songs i would ever want to do. ill be like "this is a cover of a severed heads song" at the beginning. and ill do a good job, i swear. its not like anybody will even hear it anyway. also "please" and begging and stuff.
@rdymdprjcts Kind of busy making new videos for the shows coming up, will do more archaeology when I get a chance. Actually there's a retrospective screening on in New York on the 8th March, but most of the material is from the VJ shows over the last decade or so...
Add on to previous post: The day Richard H. Kirk and Tom Ellard pass from this mortal coil will be a sad one for this trainspotter. Hey Tom, my jowls are starting to look like your jowls. Keep up the good work!
I saw that "Skinny Severed Puppy Heads" tour (holy aged cheese -- 22 years ago) in college in Cleveland. I ended up backstage to speak with Tom, as a nervous, twittering interviewer -- he had a bad cold and responded to my regurgitated "what are your influences" question kindly with the reply "Bombay disco." I would feel like a dated fossil if Mr. Ellard wasn't still recording music and doing other ridiculous nonsense.
They opened up for Skinny Puppy when this came out. This is the video that was played on the screen onstage. I think it was 1985 or 86. One of my favourite concert memories, thanks so very much for posting! I thought it no longe existed.
Ah oui monsieur. Ziss is some of the feen-est vintage froom za cellar! It's weird if I put on Ministry's Twitch, or even Throbbing Gristle's 'Heathen Earth' - that stuff sounds so dated now. But CVTBB still sounds fresh to me today? Love the beats and frequencies Tom!
Excellent Tom, good to see/hear your work buddy. Love it man, it sounds unreal (good to see someone has the balls to create something different from the rest.
Love this track, still have it on cassette via "Come Visit The Big Bigot". "Harold and Cindy Hospital" has been played in the car by a janitor on the way to grocery shopping in Midwest America.
Fine. Now please upload same one at 45 RPM, just like it should be...

@zombiebrainspace Russell Mulcahy? For Gods sake, when will the 1980's ever leave me alone? It's 2011 and ... oh well. Cash in.

Detroit 1980-something...
I was in the first row at St Andrews Hall, was a rapid fan, had the tape in my paws, and put it back. So glad I did, but sorry I tried.

Tom... Severed Heads will never die - you cannot kill the beast.
There is something about that rough industrial sound intermixed with the uplifting tunes that is timeless...
Fond memories of Tom playing the SH-101 at the Max Headroom and Labour clubs (Sydney)...

This track was played between takes on the set of a porn movie in south central Los Angeles. The performers politely requested that it be turned off.
