My turrent was on corrosive, so it was killing the purple worms and triggering my talents. It was also distracting the adds since i kept the turret down almost the whole fight. Check out my longer video of crawmerax to see more involved add killing. This video was pretty lucky with purple worms. They are the easiest to maintain.

Awesome weapon because it has such a large clip size ( 15 - 16 ) great to take out his criticals with , And even better to get 2nd winds on craw maggots.

I'd like to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I've seen too many PC users who mod the files to where they get 1 hp but never die. It seriously seems like you did that from where he spit at you.

@Cheaterboy7070 The fight is like that: No matter how much health and shields some of the worm attacks just seem to knock you to the edge of life rather then kill you outright. If you don't heal up fast enough the second bite will kill you though. I've soloed him a few times and I do not use modded guns and what I saw in the vid looked pretty accurate.

where did you get those guns. and why is shock a good element against enemies and I have a 456 dmg 2.7 sped 3x shock for a lvl 40 cuse im lvl 44 solider. Should I use it ?

I play on the PC, and was hoping you'd not mind duping your corrosive shotgun. i too play a soldier and would be more than willing to dupe 3 pearlesscent items for you.

The Hardened Ironclad is a shield that doubles your down time, so when you are hit and go down, instead of (i believe) a 10-15 second down time, you receive a 30 second down time, thus saving yo millions of dollars :P

An SMG that deals both shock AND corrosive damage.

and a rocket launcher called the Undertaker. spec unkown.

@Negropolis s&s Crux doesn't come with explosive it comes with corrosive damage that might be why you have problems with them

@acmwin18 check the borderlands wiki, its not the pestilent crux i have btw Maliwan is the corrosive version. Anyway i found that each of his minions have their weaknesses. The armored worms are weak to corrosive (duh), so my corrosive shotgun goes right through them

@Negropolis a bit l8 2 tell you but u need corrosive dmg 2 hit them :P dont use explosive guns here, u need shock, fire, corrosive

fire = green worm

shock = crow maggot

corrosive = armored thing :P

@Negropolis late reply but. Armored worms(purple ones) adviseable weapon is pestilent defiler. Green worm adviseable weapon is cobalt firehawk and the maggots use a lighting gun. I don't have an adviseable but anything with lighting.

Many times, but you have to exit and reenter his lair after you kill him.

Oh I just got an idea to answer my own question...

Sacrifice a bunch of money and keep going up to Crawmerax and kill ONLY craw maggots and green craw worms then leave only armored alive and never attack the armored.

If my previous experiences are correct, "minions" don't spawn until others have been killed.

How were you able to prevent craw maggots and green craw worms from spawning/coming after you?

Every time I try this as Roland I just get mobbed by craw maggots within 30 seconds.

It's easy to avoid that with Lilith but I want to beat Crawmerax with every character.

This took me a while to master. Since my first kill, I've done it 10 times with minimal wipes. A normal kill takes about 10 minutes, I just blew his back off right away which takes the longest. As for gear, quick health regen shield and one elemental weapon for each of the adds for second wind. I tend to kill adds completely if they are near me and rely on keeping distance from the boss and dodging his spit (don't just run one direction from it). I have used my assault rifle for kills too.

how did you do that? will you please explain to me? i see that you are using the scorpio for decoy and DPS, you use the sniper rifle to reduce the CD, but what is your shield, euipment, etc... And, is this tactic likely to succeed?
