  • very good job!

  • wow...so scary..

  • Near Washington DC we had a little earthquake, and that never happens. Just a little one caused damage to our landmarks.

If a earthquake like the one in Japan happened here there would be nothing but rubble everywhere.

  • Fantastic, this changes perspective!

  • Feine Visualisierung!

  • hypnotizing and traumatic.

  • i know understand the video. what are they showing us.

  • Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

  • 1:51 Scared the crap out'a me.

  • Mountain building, volcanic activity, and continental shift happen ALL the time from the hadean all the way to now. The earth is in consistent motion. This is not new and is not going to stop.

  • Some scientists are conjecturing that a new geologic age has begun: mountain building, volcanic activity, continental shift.

  • @EmmetEarwax "Some scientists"? Every time I hear conspiracy theorists say things like that, they say "Some scientists tell that and that". Actually there has nothing changed in mountain building nor volcanic activity nor continental shift, this all has the same rates since the beginning of seismography.

  • ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooops!!!!

  • Other than the big 9 pointer this is a typical year on planet Earth.

  • Background music would be amazing! :)

  • As crazy as this makes me sound, simply watching this video reminded me of the fear from 3/11 and made me uneasy and frightened. Compared to the rest of the world, it really was phenomenal.

  • 1:51 scared the crap out of me

  • damn, Japan is constantly being pounded

  • This is really fascinating. I wonder if it's missing some info about New Zealand. Christchurch had a huge number of aftershocks after the Feb 22nd earthquake. Not sure if they were on the USGS site, but can be found NZ's geonet site. A quick search I did shows 73 quakes over 4.5 in the year since the Feb 22nd quake.

  • Fascinating. WELL DONE.

  • The Earth really is groaning and travailing and wearing out like a garment - real fast! pgj, sr 02-13-2012

  • Thank you for this very well done

I find interesting is how liner the line is with the exception of the after shocks due to the large quakes. The earth is constantly rumbling

  • whats with the yellow line?

  • @badrotor Im pretty sure thats the total count of earthquake by the date. Its like a graphic not sure.

  • Gojira is coming...

  • What a fantastic video... wow

  • That's incredible, to see the entire year of earthquakes. Our one in Christchurch was horrible, but seeing it compared to Japan's certainly puts it in perspective! Shared on FB.

  • that spike was scary, its all like a giant ice sheet of rock, that was not normal as to say something is ripping it apart with magnitude or the wright frequency and shattering it, you can hit the note by breathing out and whistling at the same time, times a million. A bit far fetched but Jesus, I would love to see a pressure graph and the movement of the plaits.

  • can you sync with this data? and its movies? hfradio.org/prop/realtime_magnetosphere-simulation.jpg

  • Gojira... he's coming.

  • Realy great work. Thank you.

  • Good job!! I have never seen such a impactive and tataly visual infomation about Japanese Tohoku earthquake on March 11th 2011. Thanks!!

  • I am just blown away by this! Thank you for creating it! Yes I shared on FaceBook.

  • japan has mag lav don't they? lol they cant have any of that they got to go before people here in the uk start looking at centruies old rail tracks and maybe start thinking since they were 12 years old.

  • f me

  • Awesome! Need one of these every year.

  • Wow! Impressive! Are there maps/videos like this for previous years, too? Peace.

  • Is this just interesting, or is there a pattern we should be looking out for. (Us humans, always looking for patterns, huh?)

  • Really nice work!!!! Thank you :)

  • Fantastic work, thanks for sharing.

  • this is normal...right?

  • @prappypat

    Yup.

  • thanks! that's a very useful summarize

  • Is there any way you can add a lunar cycle to this video? Most large scale earthquakes are suppose to happen during a full moon. I would like to see if this is real...Excellent video..

  • AWESOME WORK MAN!!!!

  • I commend you, quite an amount of work went into this, the Japanese are such wonderful, ingenious and intelligent people, this earthquake was heinous as is all that these mentally ill illuminati cabal is doing to the world.

much love and thanks for this wonderful work of technical art.

  • i see view count at 136,111

There's some mastery that is now more consciously calling me. Each time in the day when i typically notice and often tolerate something which isn't ideal, opportunity arises to revise this experience, and sometimes its ou too late but sometimes its in a flow, and it feels like pausing and creating - envisioning and feeling - the experience as i wish it to be..

  • @Kiprasr WHAT!?

  • Comment removed

  • Tell the Illuminati to calm the fuck down with this taking over & controlling the world bullshit.

  • Hey H.A.A.R.P! When is the Northwest of the United States going to have the "Big One"???

  • @StoryMonoroch I hope it is okay?? I shared this and of course gave links back to you.. Please let me know if you wish I remove it...

    Hugs, Leda

    youtube.com/watch?v=14DmJiJghSM&feature=youtu.be

  • that was a trip

  • japan doesnt deserve this.

  • 8 miles from the pacific in southern california! bring it!

  • I wonder how our view of why these quakes were happening would change if we followed the expanding earth theory.

  • mmmm, sounds like popcorn

  • Thanks for posting the video and if you created it, thank you very much for creating the video. Might you refer me to a video showing any correlation between the position of the moon (closeness/farness...full/new moon) to the number of earthquakes?

  • @dendoutengoku really? LOL

  • strange how the north america plate was safe this year (Not alaska)

  • C'est juste géant ! magnifique travail

  • Comment removed

  • Wow, amazing! Puts things in perspective.

  • And that children... Is how dubstep was born.

  • Is Japan still there after that?

  • @mantanz yep, we're still here, beleive it or not! ...

  • Um yeah so how about the other 7,000 in NZ last year???

  • @lalalittlejohn they were incredibly tiny. this video only deals with quite large earthquakes.

    Poor Japan :(

  • @lalalittlejohn read. Magnitude and 6 and over.

  • @lalalittlejohn This shows only Mag 6 and over.

  • @crella Sorry, M4.5 and over.

  • March was like a bomb went off. Peace and thanks for the upload.

  • This tells us that Japan is the worst place to live in the world. Here are many disasters, earthquakes, tsunamis, typhoons, and volcanoes. So, it is impossible for lazy people to survive in Japan.

  • @kibinski So you better go out Japan

  • @kibinski Hey dont forget the destroyed nuclear reactors spewing radiation into the enviroment as we speak . . leaking into the ground, probably poisoning the water table for ever. and dumping the cooling water, now HIGHLY radioactive, into the pacific . .no more eating fish from S.E.Asia ! and last but the worst, radiation venting directly into the air, far far worse than the Govt of Japan is letting on.. Fukeshima makes Chenobyl look like a bowl of spilt soup

There are many Earthquake In the Pacific...

  • Shat pants when Japan showed up !

  • jajajajajaJapan

  • OMG

  • 1 Haitian is jealous.

  • God damn please tell me that's natural.

  • @Frakos perfectly natural.

  • Rest of the world: "We get earthquakes too!", Japan( 1:50 ): "Bitch Please"

  • Japan disco nights :))

  • @Darthbat00 As a result 6times/day... heavy beat per a day, dude.

  • @StoryMonoroch: The best I've seen! Got to tell me what software! Loved the one on just Japan. OMG, when it took off it scared the crap out of me!. Makes my head spin. These are great videos but they are scary too! Keep up the good work!

    I sub ya! :^)

  • Very good presentation.

  • Impresionante..!!!!! O.O

    pobres japoneses :(

  • 1:50

I was wearing headphones, now I'm scared.

  • Definitely loving how the USA gets close to none. Just a few small ones here and there in California. :D

  • @MoonDragon90 You never know....look up the history of the New Madrid fault, and remember that Tennessee, Georgia and Kentucky have been rattling a bit in the past 4-5 years. Washington DC had a biggish one recently. Never say never, and be prepared.

  • Wonderful visualization. The Japanese quakes are incredible!

  • @HiAdrian Incredible are they . . any idea how many were killed and how many are homeless . .and dont forget the radiation from the nuclear reactors that were destroyed . . Putz

  • @coleridgeKris I was commenting on the visualization and the natural phenomena. I would say the same about volcanic eruptions, tornadoes etc., i didn't call it "great".

If your concern for humans and human infrastructure interferes with your sense of awe for nature, that's your problem.

  • That's pretty awful.

  • 2011 japan got a bad year for earthquakes! i remember the time when everyone was talking about japan..

  • Japan got boned!

  • It seems to me that quite a large number of countries should reconsider if they really should have nuclear power-plants.

  • @tenoch99 or if they really should have people living there

  • @tenoch99 But mostly Japan.

  • LMAO THATS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!

  • Really great representation. Check out the one for Japan 2011.

  • Thanx 4 sharing this great video!

why is his channel not available? I subbed yesterday, and visited his channel just a few hours ago, but now it is closed..?

  • I Wonder how much this all coincides with the moon ..somewhere around that time they said the moon was the closest it'd be in years and to expect earthquakes ..but I forget if that was before or after.

  • @pphiladelphia there is ZERO correlation with the moon statistically.

  • Look at that spike...holy God.

  • These are the EPICenters you shouldn't mess with. my country's full of these. :(

  • Fuck yeah for living in northern Europe ^.^

  • Try watching this when its 3 AM an you're really tired.

  • When the March 11 Japan earthquake dots appeared it scared the crap out of me O.O

  • 4:36 east coast earthquake i wuz there...watching teh tubez then DOOOOM

  • These are really great videos. Can you make one for New Zealand's quakes in 2011?

  • @stacyphx Allready done . . visit dub dub dub dot christchurchquakemap dot codot nz

  • @stacyphx Have you seen the site at christchurchquakemap co nz ? No sound effects, and it uses google maps but it's a similar concept.

  • 1:45 christ that gave me a fright.

  • excelente modelacion, gracias.
