  • obviously ths trio haz chemistry, this jam session had to had been done ina a laboratory full of experimentalzzz if u catch my(inhale purpz) driiftt-_-

  • chillest music around.

  • It's pretty easy to transition from slightly less mathy progressive bands. I'm big into the mars volta and I found this listenable from the start.

It's all about your perspective going into it.

  • this is so beautiful

  • I'm not even sure why half of the people who are commenting are here...

  • Nick Reinhart is one of the few guitarists these days with his own sound.

  • Hmm... Tera Melos has reached a point of popularity to where they now have haters.. awesome... feed the machine.

  • LOL at the guy who called queensryche "real music"

  • what's amazing is I can still hear and thoroughly enjoy the music over all this youtube comment banter. around 4:52 is where I started to forget that youtube even had the comment feature.

  • I'm not the hugest fan of this stuff either, but you people that automatically hate on this... music isn't always in 4/4 timing. This would be too much memorizing for me.

  • To me it seems like this song would be really hard to listen to if you haven't listened to it quite a bit and already had a feel for where all the incredibly tight shots are. For me however, this being my second time listening to it, It just sounds cluttered and kind of confused. However, there are some magnificent parts: The drop at 7:22 sounds very very cool. Explosions In The Sky is a band people should check out if they like this. Above anything else though... these guys are so fucked live.

  • this seriously sucks

  • @imasnith94 I have never made an ignorant comment on a youtube video but you sir are a fucking cunt.

  • @crstlcstls no... i think he might have been on to something

  • @asasassify You listen to queensryche. Your argument is invalid.

  • @crstlcstls yeah i can see how liking actual music would be unpopular on this video.

  • this is my favorite song by them so far!!

  • Pure awesomeness !!

  • tera melos is labeled as "Dork Horror"

  • Comment removed

  • @BDizDaBest LOL YEAH. I'm pretty sure 'hipster faggot retards' are too busy listening to Belle and Sabastien and fucking Wavves to have time for this stuff.

  • @waffles032 hey, i'm a hipster faggot retard and posted this to my facebook like two and a half years ago and to my tumblr a few months ago. i'm taking them down when the views get to 15k though

  • @dweezil013 go back to your cave troll

  • @dannyandhisbass nom nom nom

  • @BDizDaBest I love how retards with no sense of music think people listen to this because it's "odd" and "out there". Just because you have an appreciation for musical talent doesn't make you a hipster. Get back in your cave, ignorant scum.

  • @captainareks Tera Melos has plenty of great songs, but this is just random noises thrown together. How is that talent? If this video didn't have Tera Melos' name on it, it wouldn't get half the praise.

  • @BDizDaBest You have got to be joking kid. If you can't hear the melodies in this song you shouldn't even bother commenting.

  • @BDizDaBest if this was just random noises thrown together do you think they would be able to keep it together so well? it has an order to it even if it seems abstract and unfamiliar and is music, none the less

  • @BDizDaBest

This is the dumbest comment ever. They stay together so well, it can't possibly be random sounds. And this definitely would still get the same praise if it didn't have Melos' name on it. In fact, I wish it didn't have Melos' name on it because then I'd have a new favorite band to check out haha.

  • @BDizDaBest

If you ask me, this is one of their best tracks. I fell in love with Math-Rock cause of this.

  • Gracias PLP, no conocía estos csm, suenan la zorra!

  • I think gordianknot555 needs to find beauty in more unexpected places.

This song to me is very pleasant. <3 I just found them today, sucks to be me since easyjro thinks its so "two years ago"... ;D

  • @crystalcomplexion Damn shame lol

these guys are great, so calm, and atmospheric

  • mind blown at 5:21 - 5:55

  • this is like someone invented a time machine, went back to the '70's and gave Yes and ELP a laptop and told them to go to it. time traveling epicness

  • Math Rock is like two years ago ive moved on.

  • @easyjro

this video was posted 3 years ago, move on

  • @dannyandhisbass lol u have me cracking up. what stuff u listening to now

  • @easyjro all types of stuff

Tera melos, Pantera , David bowie etc

    i just enjoy music

  • some of us can see it. some of us cant. for those who are able to listen to this , we are completely grateful for it. and thats just how it goes. we love it. its hit or miss, love or hate. dont bash it. they put themselves in this. we should be thankful for it.

  • @IfTheBannersFall, it's Math Rock, the whole idea is that the song is built around constantly changing time signatures to give it the feel of it being all over the place when really it's been incredibly written. Oh well, enough of the generic Youtube rant.

  • @calithornycation its not a typical rant untill you bring up beiber

  • @dannyandhisbass I'd like to think Tera Melos wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire

  • Absolutely no rhythm. It's kind of annoying.

  • @IfTheBannersFall

False. "No consistent meter" is accurate. There is definitely rhythm and after enough listens you'll figure it out.

  • @IfTheBannersFall fuck you, its math rock!!!

  • i cant help but to hate this song but it is addictively listenable

  • uuuuggggghhghghguughhghghghghghgghghh fuck

  • wow this is so indie and so artistic... so creative and underground and talented... oh yea, and it hurts my fucking ears, forgot to mention that part

  • @gordianknot555 hahahahahaha i love all the stuf you're knocking, but that was fucking funny

  • @gordianknot555 tera melos being "underground" has nothing to do with it...they are incredibly talented musicians any way you look at it...even if it is waaay over your head.

  • @DrawOutTheLions not over my head really. i just don't like the way it sounds. it hurts my ears. i can appreciate the musicianship for sure. i myself am a clasically trained pianist and violinist and i know my theory, but there are certain principles of beauty which cannot be violated. making an entire song dissonant without ever resolving the tension is, to me, and to most sane people for that matter, not a pleasant aural experience

  • @gordianknot555 im sorry but did listen past 30 seconds or did you just not hear the melodic section that stretches from around 3 minutes till the end of the song? right at 5:22 is when the song climaxs tell me how that part is dissonant.

  • @MrOtisotis That part does sound pretty cool actually. I just think they go out of their way to play stuff that sounds weird. It comes off sounding overwrought and obnoxious sometimes. After listening to this song a couple more times, however, I can appreciate it more. I guess math rock is probably an acquired taste.

  • @gordianknot555

Its you like it or you dont lol

  • My favorite part 0:00-8:13

  • @NCDUUUUUUB no trolls allowed.

  • I like tuwtles!

  • Seriously? This bullshit is worst then most rap. Get a bunch of fucktards to bang on drums and strings for a minute. This song is nothing bt a clusterfuck pice of shit like the people who wrote it. The Rape of Music.

  • @NCDUUUUUUB

Dude jazz pretty much does the same thing music wise, they just are exponentially more evolving throughout their song

Don't get offended at my comment I'm just letting you know.

  • @NCDUUUUUUB yeah no, just because there's a lot going on doesn't make it bad.

  • 1:11 amazes me soooo much

  • @rob5000x1 everything before 8:13 amazes me

  • @dannyandhisbass very true!

  • brilliant!

  • damn these guys need to come to Austin
