Anderson thought that setting the film in an urban environment like New York City would break continuity with the Alien series as the protagonist, Ellen Ripley, had no knowledge the creatures existed. "You can't have an Alien running around the city now, because it would've been written up and everyone will know about it. So there's nothing in this movie that contradicts anything that already exists."

i know i'll probably be hated for this comment, but from an action perspective, i thought AVP-R was good. and it's probably not in the future yet so they can introduce it. if they make another one it'll probably be set in the future now that they've introduced weyland and yutani seperately

not by me. You may be right but I think we have to wait until the two Alien prequels have been shot. So the producers could use the storys of Predators and both Alien prequels to conect to the original Alien quadrilogy.

So the story surely will conclude the story of the spacejokey and the development of the predators weapon from AVPR which humans probably will use to create spaceships technology.That would be something :D
