I would like to rename early hip-hop as alternative soul music. because ppl were rappin in 70s soul music. so hip hop really wasnt truely a new style. but the difference between then and now is it had SOUL which is why i considered it soul music. rap today is just that RAP and apparently anyone can do it.........and be successful. damn shame i was born in 89' i should have been a 70s baby like my sister. then i could of had the best of all worlds. great hip hop,R&B, and pop music

I found this tape in a gutter back in 87 when i was 4 years old. I took it home and popped it into my PLAYSCHOOL Casset Tape Player. Wow... funny finding it on youtube. Haha serious.. Ima super human hip hop head. Was watching some grind time battles and some kid who's 19 (in 2010) was talking about he's OG because he had been listening to rap since he was 10. So I decided to pinpoint the first Hip Hop song I had heard in life, and it turns out it was Dont You Dog Me by Fat Boys. LOL....

The Fat Boys were and still are my favorite Rap group. I bought almost every tape they had and had almost every song. Fat Boys 1st tape that came out was my very first rap tape. There is somebody out there that claims to be the original human beat box, but even if he was first Darren "Human Beatbox'" Robinson to me was the best and most liked.
