Why So Salty: Mega Man in Street Fighter X Tekken!

Well I don't know if I have a valid argument from either side. Seeing as how I'm was born in 1990 and was to young to start playing game never really got into Mega Man and didn't know about him til Mega Man 10. But I think it's a pretty cool idea to have in the game. I am getting the PS3 version but I won't probably play as him much seeing as how he seems like he more a slow character. I will try him out probably a few times and just move on to a main team like Jin and Ryu.

I don't hate BBAMM, I thought it was really funny and interesting, But I am mad that they are not showing Mega Man and their fans more love. Canceling games and not including a version of Mega Man in both version of mvc3 tend to make gamers mad.

Inafune trolling Capcom? Well honestly I thought bad box art megaman rather than his more well known forms was a terrible idea, though it didn't really bother me as I found Pac-Man on a Mokujin more off putting. As someone who's prefers namco over capcom in general I thought klonoa would be a better fit but I digress. But now that you say that Inafune might be the one trolling Capcom, that seems to make a lot of sense. Inafune did leave the company on bad terms afterall.

I'd pre-order it for 360 myself if I could play as troll Megaman.

Right now, Capcom is slowly rebuilding the Megaman brand after it died from too much sequel syndrome. Mega Man X will return no doubt, but I think its wise to keep X reserved from a marketing standpoint.

Break the franchise down so you can rebuild it.

BBAMM is the greatest thing ever, I'm on the same boat as you that i'm sad that I won't get Megaman on 360. I think Sony struck a deal with Capcom that megaman and pacman would only be exclusive for the sony console and Microsoft didn't make capcom any sort of offer as well (kinda like how Microsoft didn't get any exclusive characters with MK)

im not just mad that its not the regular megaman transparencypro. Im also pissed off that they used the Megaman Legends 3 backstory to describe why he is looking for the box called Pandora. Look at the megaman network, protodude site, or the street fighter x tekken website if you dont believe me.

The also took a shit on the cancelled Legends 3 and its fans. They wont be this immature towards Poison despite how similarly sensitive the issue is with he/she....

The main thing that bothers me its this. They had no problems nixing Mega Man Universe or Mega Man Legends, or even keeping Mega Man for the most part out of UMvC3, but in a game which many serious fighter fans wouldn't even want Mega Man(or those damned cats, or Pacman to be honest, Cole can stay he's alright), of all titles THIS is the one they can include Mega Man in, let alone the ugliest incarnation of it? Maybe I'm looking too far into it but that seems kind of suspect to me.

If you want to blame anyone then blame Keiji because it was his idea. Also I can't help but feel that fans are ungrateful, they wanted Mega Man and they got Mega Man but nooooo that was not enough You homo fan boys wanted megaman, well megaman is what you got. That is the original megaman, if you guys wanted rockman you should of asked for it :) Oh well, this version is cooler as a DLC pack for the characters they could have a mega man or mega man x costume for him

Microsoft wouldn't make a deal with Capcom, Sony did. MS likes to deal with American companies like Activision, Sony and Capcom are Japanese so they have better relations. That's why Xbox gets exclusives on MW3 and US games, Sony does good deals with Capcom and Namco and those Japanese companies.

Objectively speaking, Bad Box Art Mega Man is funny. The only things that suck is that Pac Man and Mega Man are on PS3, and Capcom screwed over the the Mega Man fans.

Let's say they didn't cancel Universe and Legends 3, and they put Mega Man in Ultimate MvC3....people would love this. And even if Inafune trolled Capcom with this idea, they ultimately made the decision to let this pass even though they know how much they pissed off Mega Man fans. They brought it on themselves.

@Thescreamsable However, Inafune himself wanted Zero to be the star of Megaman X from the begining, but Capcom wouldn't allow it. So including Zero over X is something the creator of Megaman would have wanted.

Yea, I could consider BBAMM to be great homage, and yes, I could consider the whole "middle-aged hero" thing to be comedic. They pushed it with the MML reference though, calling him a "Digger" and searching for relics. If your gonna use BBAMM, use a description that might better fit with Rock! (at least they did something right though and called him "Mega Man" on the Japanese site, instead of "Rock Man")

I do agree with you, but at the same time I don't...I think the real reason was advertisement to the two cancelled games you mentioned. If you look at Mega Man's profile, it describes him as a "digger", something you'd expect out of Megaman Volnutt. It sounds to me that these two things combined was meant to be a Universe/Legends 3 promotion...which of course backfired when they were cancelled.

But I do agree that the fanbase is over-reacting and not thinking it through properly.
