So, because the the rich don't provide as much as they should, where is the capital supposed to come from? Taxes, or what you call robbing the rich is a quite effective way to get that capital. Many nations in Europe before PIGS brought them down were extremely successful due to their implementation of a socialized economy. The income gap in nations like Germany, France, and Sweden is far smaller than in the US
@MrCarseallday socialism transfers power to the elite, make no mistake about it. Hitler was a socialist. As the government gets bigger their is more incentive to buy its power through political contribution. This transfers power from the masses to the elite, to big business, to a select few from the many.
A middle class person or small business owner employs people and spends their money on products and goods rather than investing to make them selves richer. The regan economics based on the highly rejected laffer curve (by most economists- excluding republic puppets) is supposed to work because of the trickle down and the assumption that the mega rich provide for the rest. This is just a scheme to push their own agenda to secure votes from the rich to stay in power. So, because the the rich don
I disagree with some of the things you said. Many small business owners are actually affiliated with the democratic party because they are seeking business and in our current situation the big corporations and the million and billionaires are the people that are starving the nation. Those million and billionaires don't provide for the economy in the way that a middle class person does; the super rich earn their money through currency speculation and running multi national corporations; A middle
@clintcastle Isn't the government supposed to be there when citizens are starving and homeless? I'd like to think we can rely on them for something... (thanks for your response by the way)
Through this manipulation they are able to increase their own power and wealth, all at the disadvantage of everyone else. That is why a certain amount of government intervention is needed. What I mean by this is government owned business that exist in a competitive market, where they can pressure other companies to follow a fair business model with higher standards by implementing these measures themselves, and therefore soak up a lot of the market and employees.
While I do mostly agree with your statement, there is a huge glaring problem with a free-market society, and that is the system of human greed. Now I am not saying that every wealthy person is greedy, or at least any more greedy than anyone else, but to say that a fairly good percentage of the super wealthy, who hold enormous amounts of power, are greedy would not be unreasonable, and because of their large amounts of power they are able to manipulate the system, the government, and the people.
The only issue you missed here Elliot is to explain to people the government steals from the rich who work hard to give to the rich who buy politicians and also the Federal Reserve is there to print money, protect the banks, fund endless wars and enslave us to a debt-based monetary system. The government takes from the people who make $1 million per year in order to subsidize the people who make $100 million per year and buy political power. RON PAUL 2012
Elliot! I have a lot of respect for you but I disagree with what you're saying concerning college. College can get you further in life if you have the know how, use it properly, make the right decisions, and establish relationships. I have learned so much in these last two months that helped me grow as a person and I attribute that to being around different people with different perceptions.
@amero765 Ron Paul is not a retard, this rant leans more toward support Ron Paul than anyone else. Do your research before you make a claim so outrageous it makes the founding fathers turn in their graves.
@joker52mlb I guess if he reaches one person with his info. its worth the effort. but how many will understand it, and hes right about divide and conquer .this country has become a nation of what group are you labeled as. or what political party.do you belong to .Even under our judicial system, we are put in groups. Maybe someday we will all realize, we are all in the same boat. If anything we need to stand together, when our Gov. ignores its people, and remind them who they work for.
@amero765 but everything ron paul stands for is what this guy does. they say the same stuff. hes not a conservative/ republican, hes a libertarian. he wants to restore america to a free market system and a place where liberty is respected.
Agree with most of your points, except the part about college. I agree that a college education won't be of much use at most jobs. But the market demands it. Employers tend to hire people who have attended college. So isn't it natural for people to think they should go to college, even if it means putting themselves in debt?
OWS is not a creation of anyone. It is an organic movement that comes out of the misery of our current society. People think that social movements get change RIGHT AWAY.
American do have to get away from this stupid division of Liberal vs Conservative. However, it would be wrong to say that the OWS movement is part of anything.... so cynical.
It has shown the country, our country, a mirror where we can see ourselves.
@poonamsvideoblogs youre wrong THE GOVERMENT IS PULLING THE STRINGS. YOU NEED TO TAKE MORE CONSIDERATION INTO WHAT THIS GUY IS SAYING. TRADE SKILLS BUSSINESS SKILLS AND ENTREPRENEURSHIP SKILLS NEED TO BE VALUED MORE IN YOUNG PEOPLE, LIKE HE SAID LEARN THE MARKET. YOU WOULDNT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT A JOB BECAUSE YOU COULD OPERATE YOUR OWN YOUR ON BUSSINES AND CONTROL YOUR OWN INCOME. THE ELITE DONT WANT YOU TO CONTROL YOUR OWN INCOME THEY WANT TO. OWS ARE PUPPETS WHO ARE UNINFORMED,
Nice rally for libertarianism; I also applaud your very crafty elaboration of the libertarian and republican (un)divide and your appeals to economics and Ron Paul. You have set up a very nice frame to push what Ron Paul thinks can save America. You have my respect as a talented orator. That being said, I can't believe you gave such a well constructed spiel on such nonsense. The occupiers will get some justice for America by standing against those who oppress. Sure, the government oppresses to
@ichigodomo Our parents grew up in a time that was a lot more like what he is talking about and look at us now. Lack of motivation is what killed America not the free market. What killed the motivation? Unemployment checks, food stamps, regulations, bureaucracies, GSEs, government housing. . PANDERING PANDERING PANDERING
what do you say to the proposition that lack of govt control sees the exploitation of lower skilled workers. Personally i think it is very survival of the fittest.
I'm not saying anything against what Elliot said in this video. And I'm NOT saying the Nordic model is better or best. I'm just saying that we have a big ass government and it works really well for us. Its not communism - very far from it (thank god) - but people tend to label anything that even smells like socialism as BAD, and I'm just saying that for us, this works.
I have to admit this guy is growing on me. Trips me out and alot of what is said is true. I love the part college is a waste of time, and it is. Inflation is a tax, I agree. Funny and true.
In Denmark you have what is called the Nordic welfare model. You have a very big government and pay a lot of tax - most Americans would call it socialism - but it works really well !
People say when you pay so much taxes and so on, you dont have any FREEDOM, but in Denmark hospitals, libraries, scools and even universities are totally FREE. THATS FREEDOM (too) - having truly equal opportunities and no social heritage holding you down.
@SirVixisVexed: I never said it would take a lot of money...just money. The amount will vary dramatically, and that's for the future entrepreneur to decide.
@lalalalaladyprisca: it's ok to be naive, everyone starts there and we learn (sometimes the hard way). Just don't be "judgmental" about a post being a "scam" because of naivety. There are many people that believe they should be handed things for free (not suggesting that this is you btw..)... We call them the left. ;)
Elliot man im 17, and you are and have been for a few months now my inspiration in life, well, more of an admiration, my inspiration comes from God our Father and those people in my personal and love life he has blessed me with, keep up the power man and i hope to become on of your customers A.S.A.P. HAVE A FANTASTIC WEEK BRO!!!!!
5) So, NO, the answer isn't that you are just too lazy and need to pull yourself up by your bootstraps. The answer is to take ALL of the tax burden off of new and medium-small entrepreneurs (the engine of the American economy), and put it on those who can afford it.
We need to go back to the pre-Reagan era, in many ways. To a time otherwise known as the golden age of American Capitalism, when upward social mobility was the highest in the world, when taxes on the the super rich were 70%.
4) Limitless studies have shown that as tax rates on the super rich increase, the growth of the economy also increases. This is counter intuitive, so why does it do this? High taxes on the super rich incentivize the movement of capital to productive sectors (like bond markets) to keep it from being taxed, and this causes the economy to explode as tons of capital becomes available to finance the starting of new businesses (SAFE loans become easy to get and easy to pay).
3) Trickle down economics is the greatest bullshit in American history.
Why? What do the super rich do with the extra money from tax cuts? Create jobs? No, they were gonna do that already. What they do is KEEP IT, and get richer! Just look at any income growth graph over the last 30 years.
This grows the income inequality, which decreases demand, which tanks an economy. Also decreases upward social mobility- US has the worst of all industrialized nations. (Were the worst at the American Dream..)
2) Your answer to "there are no jobs", is: "You guys need to go get a job." ...? What? THERE AREN'T JOBS. Do you know why there aren't any? Because there is no demand. Why no demand? Because nobody has any money to buy anything. Why don't they have any money? Because the rich have it all (>50% of it all, actually). Why do they have it all? Because dopes like you were tricked into "lower taxes for all makes everything better!" And the super rich kept the money from the super tax cuts.
Uhg. 20 minutes of naive assumptions and pull-yourself-up-by-your-bootstraps self reassuring rationalization. Don't watch- it was at best a poor summary of what a free market is, with gross oversimplifications and leading assumptions.
1) The unemployed in this country, are in vast majority NOT dumb, unskilled, or lazy. There are simply NO jobs. Its WHY they're unemployed. You talk as if they hadn't thought "hey, maybe i could go work for somebody"?
THE 'FED' is a bunch of private bankers like the Rothschilds, and Rockefellers, the Bilderbergs, Mays', etc.., who OWN Our U.S. Government! The Bush family USED to be members of the Anti-slavery movement, the Underground Railroad!! Now theyve sold out, since Bush Jr.'s grandpa (maybe longer), Prescott Bush, theyve all had political success, they made an agreement, becoming 'Hierarchal' Monarch SLaves to the Illuminati, the Bankers.., the Financial Mafia.., only smarter cuz they OWN, not pay off.
I see a lot of people totally missed the fucking point of your video. Good shit though. I was all for the OWS movement in the beginning, but the more I listened to the bullshit some of the people down there were saying the more it made me pull away. I literally watched some asshole get interviewed on why he was there, and all he talked about was how he could bang on the drums. Too many people there that are uninformed, misinformed, and don't know where to direct their anger.
This is nice and all but I scrolled down to the links and noticed the "How to earn money" thing. I clicked on it and it's just a business trying to sell business. Isn't that more like a scam?
@lalalalaladyprisca ...scam? Seriously? There are many ways to make money: get a job, start a business, buy a franchise, or buy a business opportunity and work hard to make it work. All will cost you money...except "get a job". In other words, you have to risk money (capital) to make it.
Oh, and by the way... have you never heard of Dan Kennedy?!?! Really? In that case... go get a job, it's your best bet at making money.
@Iodonzs You're right, for some things it does take money to make money. Sorry, I haven't heard of Dan Kennedy, but I see he was a consultant of Donald Trump. I'm not very into business but my mom is looking for one so I was trying to help and I was hoping the link would be helpful but I was being naive for thinking that something would come for free.
It doesn't take a bunch of money to start a service business that only employs the owner, like house cleaning or office cleaning, power washing, auto and other vehicle detailing, etc etc. Businesses can be very simple services that still end up paying better than most "job" alternatives.
@encorekaraoke No one knows what Occupy is about because they don't have a representative :(. I can't listen to thousands of people and get a clear message, I don't have the time to.
After I got out of high school I knew I wanted to be a strength coach. I tried to go to college but saw right through the bullshit instantly. I did some research and found a strength gym in my area. I apprenticed at this gym for over a year. I cleaned it, shadowed the trainers, ran chores, and did anything else I could, free of charge. I now have the second most clients at my gym and am working on opening my own. Im 21 years old. This man speaks the truth.
Everyone who wants to understand how the world should be politically RIGHT NOW... everyone who wants to understand what the protesters are really fighting for and why without hearing about it from the media (which by the way, is controlled by the people who are fucking you. Obviously they're not telling you the truth.) should watch this video... its the second american revolution and its happening RIGHT NOW... also a great lesson in Objectivism.
The Keynesian theory of economics is the centralized, collectivist government approach to a managed economy aka crony Fascism. This is what we have suffered under since WWII and why Europe & the US is BANKRUPT.
Keynesian theory is the philosophical core of a fiat paper money system manipulated by the bankers and their cartel, the Federal Reserve who have replaced our Constitutional Money with Federal Reserve NOTES (I.O.U.s) for sound money which they have now OUTLAWED!
250k really isnt rich... sorry if you disagree, but a half mil puts you firmly in the MIDDLE class.
I think problems started earlier than clinton, more like the kennedys or maybe earlier. When people who didnt understand the value of money, who were rich because their fore fathers worked their ass off, got into politics and felt sorry for others, thinking that they got money for nothing, so everyone else should too...
Jobs are shipped overseas because we are a lazy and greedy society with an undue sense of entitlement. If you are one that believes the rich are lazy and greedy--then you are missing the point that you, yourself, believe that the non-rich deserve the same something-for-nothing benefits (lazy and greedy). Powerful Unions and the philosphy that people have a right to success have forced jobs overseas. Produce pickers are immigrants for a reason. They'd take our "problems" over the alternative.
The divide and conquer is the basics of Social Marxism.
Also the big lie principle that adolf hitler described that was globalist bankers were using. Lie big because people believe a big lie more easily, then small lie. Also Joseph Goebbels told the same thing and talked about False debating tactics, making false stances that this video in the beginning was talking about.
The Globalist are shipping jobs to where ever is the cheapest, while more people are unemployed in their own country.
People don't want 'jobs'! They want what jobs provide: independence, dignity, community. Jobs, as we currently know them, are simply another word for wage slavery in a complex civilization. It is simply a matter of time before most 'jobs' are automated. It's insane to expect infinite growth on a finite planet, so with a population growing exponentially, we simply cannot expect to maintain much less provide a high standard of living for all. Answer: wisely, humanely downsize population.
19:23 "Serve someone" That's still the slave mentality. Somewhere inside each 1 of us is a natural ability to do something, give of ourselves, or create to navigate through life w/o placing blames on any1 but yourself for not doing any self study...Now, who wants to be self governing? Any one??? Any one??? Hello???
...According to the Global 2000/Agenda 21 or Earth Charter, the population will be at 500,000...Well I say, the living or aware is already there, while others are dead(self ignorant).
7:52 "a gallon of milk will cost $10 dollars in 6 months" I realize the same 25 cents donuts in 2000 cost 75 cent now, and they are smaller. Yes, nearly 400% rise if you put all that into consideration...And people are fed a 4-8%--or whatever inflation rise... The game is played on the persons*, because they love to participate. Leave the game alone, & you began to learn how to be the People, self responsible, & an actual grown up who don't play games w/ their life.
also i agree that the government(big banks) is fucking everyone over...if buisness owners werent so stressed about taxes and inflation...they would be able to create more jobs....but they arent ganna want to hire and create jobs because hiring people you gotta pay them and if too much is going out and not coming in the buisness fails...therefore even less jobs...very deep thinking my bro
Who is the government...."The Banks"..people with the money...like billions of dollars are the government....i feel the word "the government" kinda confuses people...you dont know who is fucking you over...shit aint ganna change though....you gotta put yourself in a good position..and i think that was your message...stop blaming and asking....work..do what you have to do to make it because asking for shit is ganna bite you in the ass later on
6 - life is not only about making money but it's also about knowledge, art, discoveries. is the market gonna fund deep space exploration, art exhibitions and physics experimentations like Cern does in Geneva when clearly it's not profitable in terms of money?
7 - why is the military a public service but not healthcare?
8 - when was it when America was a great country because i dont recall that time very well? enlighten me
This has to be a step by step process, you can't snap your fingers and say "Free Market" because the ruler won't play. The constitution kick ass, and yet the check&balance of the people slowly gave it way to the rulers. What's to stop that from happening again? Most can't get a job w/o a degree, the system is too corrupt right now. We need OWS to get rid of the criminals, and bring back the constitution. The Fed must be dismantled. Lastly, it's Fug [ah] zi. ;)
>merely and end to the fraud, racketeering, and other crimes committed by the collusion between government and globalists and their corporation tools. You didn't talk nearly enough about the Fed, an unconstitutional for profit indeed THAT IS NOT FEDERAL. The top .01% live by a Straussian philosophy and nothing will stop them from using their powers to sate their addictions. So what do we do about them? Until brought to justice, they will continue committing crimes....TBC>>>
Economics=philosophy, indeed! It's a chess game unbound by physical laws because the rulers can throws checkers on the board whenever they choose. Thumbed up for video and appreciate what you have to say, however, you are mistaken on some points. Firstly and most distressing is you have a warped idea what this movement is about. I can send you the list of demands circulating in several states if you like, I think you'd agree with most of them. The majority of us aren't requesting handouts ..TBC>
If you are a member of the military mutiny if you have firearms assemble a militia with fellow protesters. If you are a cop remember Wall Street has trashed your pension so step aside and let the people take on the banksters and plutocrats. Its no use protesting by itself revolutions have to use force or the threat of force if they are to win.
Wall Street Protests= socialism, communism and hatred of Jews.
Tea Party= freedom, equality, self reliance and capitalism.
As an American you can not except the things that liberals want because they are anti-American....Period. The guy in this video means well, but he doesn't get it, he's falling for the Ron Paul trick.
i've said it before and i'll say it again, you are a clever man, and you just make so much sense...i like it cos you cut the bullshit and hand it out strait...it's clear and simple...
i didnt watch this all the way through before my first comment....this guy has a fucking clue.....everyone should watch this.....not 100% there, but he is pretty close.
The worst part of the financial industry is not that their uber complex opaque financial "engineering" that caused the 2008 financial meltdown (and the great recession). The worst part is that they got bailed out. They privatize their profits but socialize their losses.
Corporate America never goes bankrupt because they own the politicians.
@152czar the financial industry didnt cause the meltdown, government meddling did. 1999 bill clinton DE-regulized the banks by repealing the 1933 Glass-steagal act that protected us from "too big to fail". IN 1992 Clinton passed the fair housing act which FORCED banks to make loans to people who could not afford them and normally would not have made the loan. If the government got out of the public sector, it would not have crashed. The government cause 90% of all our ails.
You contradicting a little you are saying conservatives and liberals are not the enemy but you spend alot of time blasting liberals for protesting. Welfare and social security was created by conservatives. All the things you rant about were created by them. So the whole looking for a handout things was created by republicans. But I feel what you saying but look at it from both sides because when you look at the extreme both are wrong. Peace. P.S The worker is also the BF of the business owner.
@dj2600 Thats because liberals are the most confused when it comes to the solution. Spending more wont get us out of this. Creating more entitlements is only going to create more debt, inflation and prolong the recession
When you say that “we” (being the 99%) should be thanking the “rich” (executive CEO’s of corporations etc) for giving us jobs you’re missing the whole point of what’s been going on and the complaints of the masses against these corporations and the people who run them. I’ve been working for one of these huge multinational corporations for the past 15 or so years. In the last five years things have gotten particularly bad.
It's Borrowing MORE money to pay for the money you already owe. We were at 8 Trillion when bush left. were 14 now and climbing. They will keep borrowing or printing till they cant pay for Social security and retirement programs, or milk becomes $40 bucks a gallon.
Somebody doesn't understand Keynesian economics at all. True Keynesian economics uses both demand side and supply side policies. Being a Keynesian economist does not mean all you do is borrow. You use fiscal (changes in taxation, borrowing spending) and monetary (changes in interest rates) policies as demand side policies and you use supply side policies (lowering costs of production, increasing international competitiveness and increasing the capacity of the economy) together
@englishhacksaw Ohh ( I ) don't understand Keynesian economics?!? Take a good look around. THERE'S your answer! Your defense of a failed economic system wont convince me to switch over to the dark side. Austrian economics all the way.!
Keynesian economics isn't to blame for this. Keynes' theories stated that governments should stimulate during bad times and save during good times. Unfortunately, recent US governments follow Keynesian economics during hard times and neo-Classical economics in the good times; essentially never saving. Also, the President doesn't print money. The Federal Reserve controls the monetary supply to control inflation purposes. Bottom line is Obama spent/borrowed too much and Bernanke printed too much.
I agree. I hate how people don't understand how Keynesian economics works. No, it isn't all about overspending or borrowing and completely relying on the demand side. Then again, Keynesian economics has been completely misused over the years. True Keynesian economics uses both supply side and demand side economics.
i gotta admit... im givin up on my chances of finding a job, however, im luky enough to now be accepted into the air force, so ill be set for life, however, i gotta ask the people who have the oportunity to serve the market: please serve it as much as you can, i dont want my kids to live in this economic set-up
So...Greenspan was an Austrian Economist and he admitted that the philosophy is flawed. It is flawed, because it doesnt take into account GREED and how far people will go for a profit. Specifically, that people would bet AGAINST the market. This is when greed becomes BAD, because according tot hem, its good any other time, but they finally found a time when greed is bad.
Generally speaking, he's got the idea. He plays the 'equality' of the division pretty hard, but the main difference is self responsibility. There will always be those who don't pull their weight, expect 'right of entitlement' and feel they deserve some 'apologist' superiority. These people generally refuse to truly educate themselves on the facts this young man is speaking of. All in all, great job.
@Swoopdo99 you are just a liberal robot who believes all the lies Obama says like saying rich people pay a lower tax than a plumber that is simply not true rich people's money is taxed from every angle possible. Besides I'm sure you don't agree with Herman Cains 9-9-9 tax plan either.
The problem is not government, it's corrupt government. Don't be so sure about libertarian ideas. How would quality of life improve if there were no regulations?
@jkickass If there were no regulations, then the free market would work like it is supposed to. Good businesses prosper, and bad businesses fail. Capitalism didnt bail out the banks, Socialism did. If True capitalism was at play, the banks would have been left to fail. Thats what should have happened in a fair market. But the gov. knew that they were the ones who forced them into the mess by passing the equal housing act in 1992.
Fuck Milk Bitch wtf is this retard u talking about really And ohh rich ppl are the tax evading fuck heads they are is BULLSHIT the rich pay the lowest percent of taxes more than ever due to PUSSIE and Rich ass whole corporations Buying our potations Are government is run buy rich dick heads there occupy wall is mainly to protest fuck heads such as yourself and other ill informed ass whips from trying to enslave fucking poor ppl There is money in property, OCCUPY EVERYTHING
@dmect2207 The rich should pay almost all the taxes when a few % own 90+% of all wealth. Do you fail to see the connection between absolute power and absolute corruption? I think the USA should be as good as we claim to be. Thats all!

Maybe someday we will all realize, we are all in the same boat. If anything we need to stand together, when our Gov. ignores its people, and remind them who they work for.

You have set up a very nice frame to push what Ron Paul thinks can save America. You have my respect as a talented orator. That being said, I can't believe you gave such a well constructed spiel on such nonsense. The occupiers will get some justice for America by standing against those who oppress. I'm just saying that we have a big ass government and it works really well for us.

PRO7E 4 months ago
4) Limitless studies have shown that as tax rates on the super rich increase, the growth of the economy also increases. This is counter intuitive, so why does it do this? High taxes on the super rich incentivize the movement of capital to productive sectors (like bond markets) to keep it from being taxed, and this causes the economy to explode as tons of capital becomes available to finance the starting of new businesses (SAFE loans become easy to get and easy to pay).
PRO7E 4 months ago
3) Trickle down economics is the greatest bullshit in American history.
Why? What do the super rich do with the extra money from tax cuts? Create jobs? No, they were gonna do that already. What they do is KEEP IT, and get richer! Just look at any income growth graph over the last 30 years.
This grows the income inequality, which decreases demand, which tanks an economy. Also decreases upward social mobility- US has the worst of all industrialized nations. (Were the worst at the American Dream..)

This is nice and all but I scrolled down to the links and noticed the "How to earn money" thing. I clicked on it and it's just a business trying to sell business. Isn't that more like a scam?
lalalalaladyprisca 4 months ago
@lalalalaladyprisca ...scam? Seriously? There are many ways to make money: get a job, start a business, buy a franchise, or buy a business opportunity and work hard to make it work. All will cost you money...except "get a job". In other words, you have to risk money (capital) to make it.
Oh, and by the way... have you never heard of Dan Kennedy?!?! Really? In that case... go get a job, it's your best bet at making money.
Good luck.
Iodonzs 4 months ago
@Iodonzs You're right, for some things it does take money to make money. Sorry, I haven't heard of Dan Kennedy, but I see he was a consultant of Donald Trump. It doesn't take a bunch of money to start a service business that only employs the owner, like house cleaning or office cleaning, power washing, auto and other vehicle detailing, etc etc. Businesses can be very simple services that still end up paying better than most "job" alternatives.

Knightblazer9 4 months ago

Keynesian economics is irresponsible...
It's Borrowing MORE money to pay for the money you already owe. We were at 8 Trillion when bush left. were 14 now and climbing. They will keep borrowing or printing till they cant pay for Social security and retirement programs, or milk becomes $40 bucks a gallon.
Tanarus20 4 months ago
@Tanarus20
Somebody doesn't understand Keynesian economics at all. True Keynesian economics uses both demand side and supply side policies. Being a Keynesian economist does not mean all you do is borrow. You use fiscal (changes in taxation, borrowing spending) and monetary (changes in interest rates) policies as demand side policies and you use supply side policies (lowering costs of production, increasing international competitiveness and increasing the capacity of the economy) together
englishhacksaw 4 months ago

@englishhacksaw Ohh ( I ) don't understand Keynesian economics?!? Take a good look around. THERE'S your answer! Your defense of a failed economic system wont convince me to switch over to the dark side. Austrian economics all the way.!
Tanarus20 4 months ago
Keynesian economics isn't to blame for this. Keynes' theories stated that governments should stimulate during bad times and save during good times. Unfortunately, recent US governments follow Keynesian economics during hard times and neo-Classical economics in the good times; essentially never saving. Also, the President doesn't print money. The Federal Reserve controls the monetary supply to control inflation purposes. Bottom line is Obama spent/borrowed too much and Bernanke printed too much.
Byzzak 4 months ago 2
@Byzzak
I agree. I hate how people don't understand how Keynesian economics works. No, it isn't all about overspending or borrowing and completely relying on the demand side. Then again, Keynesian economics has been completely misused over the years. True Keynesian economics uses both supply side and demand side economics.

@jkickass If there were no regulations, then the free market would work like it is supposed to. Good businesses prosper, and bad businesses fail. Capitalism didnt bail out the banks, Socialism did.
