MOST importantly! Check Disney 'dates' before walking into the Magic Kingdom with one of your kids on your shoulders and finding out it's one of their "Gay Days"! Then you do an about-face and head back to the car so it can be a Sea World Day! The kids maybe a little sad, but you promise them you'll go there another day to save the kids from perversion.
Been there, done that, and burning more vacation days so we could go on a 'straight' day. One of their guys told me, "85% of the staff are gay!"

@JONASfor3ver The best ride (most popular) in Magic Kingdom is Space Mountain and if you want a slower ride then Thunder Mountain. The best one in Epcot is Soarin' and if you want a slower one then Spaceship Earth (the big golf ball). The best in Animal Kingdom is Expedition Everest and if you want a slower one then Kali River Rapids and an even slower one is Kilimanjaro Safari (sorry I don't know how to spell that but it is the Safari). The best one in MGM is The Hollywood Tower of Terror
