For some reason I cannot reply to the person who replied to me, but I'll say this much in regards to his/her message: A tool is a tool until used otherwise, there is no other way to look at it. A weapon is a weapon until *IT* is used otherwise. a Sword is not a conventional tool to cut trees with or one's steak dinner with. Solely by the design and the intent upon designing said object, is how one can discriminate between a tool and a weapon.
@Ronnock No. They are potential weapons, But not weapons until used as such. Until then they are no different than a short stick and a long stick. Another example is a table fork. It is not a weapon unless it is jabbed into someones eye. Or a hammer and so on and so on.
i love martial arts be it japanese, chinese, korean, brazilian, tai, russian, what ever they all interest me but the board breaking and brick breaking c`mon to the untrained eye it looks fantastic but we all know that the boards are of weak structure ie soft wood and dried and of size that will break with ease down the grain, the bricks are dried and spaced so the first will break the second and so on, my little girl of 8 can do all these but apart from that i like the vid!...
What is so bad about saying YOU are the greatest weapon? Without you, your gun will not shoot itself nor your sword slice the enemy itself. It's like the old saying that was supposedly inscribed on a king's sword: If thy heart faileth thee, Trust not in me.
A martial artist knows his body to be a weapon. He can break bones, shatter skulls and swiftly kill an enemy often before the enemy has had time to shoot a gun. Soldiers are intimately familiar with this.
@AintNoSuperiorStyle When u classify a person as a weapon you are speaking metaphorically - not literally. I might as well say a spork is a weapon. You are confusing the metaphorical weapon with a real weapon to try and make a point.

What a stupid list! Rating an empty hand martial art as the greatest weapon is stupid since by definition the techniques being shown are weaponless.
