I love how the the chair room and the "temple" are right next door to each other, and the path between them isn't even blocked or locked or anything. Reminds me of The Wizard of Oz where the "wizard" is just hiding behind a curtain nearby and no one thinks to look behind it (except the dog).

I like how Riven has less "shortcuts" than Myst, what I mean by that is that in Myst, if you've played the game before, you can solve a lot of the puzzles without searching for the clues (the clock tower time, the constellations, the rocket song, etc.) likewise if you are following a walkthrough

Hello! I'm not quite sure as to what that chair with a cage surrounding it did, for I was 6 when I played Riven. Any particular reason it was there? Sorry if the answer for that was later in this video, i've just always wanted to know.

i played riven with my parents i cant remebr i think i was 5 or maybe 4 ... and now watching ur video is just chivering me bcoz im getting visions i had 15 years earlier and even riven got me a phobia from domes i just remebrd riven is filled with domes by far watching ur video !! haha man u git me back to my childhood i never finished the game my parents and i got stuck in CD 5 IN THAT SORT OF HIVE LOOKING THINGY ( HE BIG BALL ) anyway man hahah i like ur tour its chillin :P

@Fromzon Gehn uses it to broadcast to the big imager in the main temple room. It doesn't serve any gameplay purpose.

If you look above the doorway before exiting the temple before the magcar, you'll see a hologram of Gehn watching you. Creepy. You didn't show it in this clip.

it's funny. they used the spider chair (a different style and a different purpose) in myst 4. In Spire.
