I'm already a cigar smoker, but diving into the pipe world seems a bit more intimidating. Could you recommend a few aromatics to try (especially vanilla ones if those are a must-have)? Is the drugstore stuff like Captain Black any good?
Im a beginner smoker and im wondering what i should go for, what would u say is the best for a good smoke? I think cigars are cool but pipes really appeal to me more what gives a better more relaxing smoke? And finally what stores and sites might i be able to buy tobbaco from?
Here in Australia, tobacco is mega taxed. The cheapest of cheap cigars at a tobacconist cost about US$7, something like a Romeo y Julieta No.2 costs about US$20.
dude do you realise how much you look like Victor (aka sabertooth) of xmen origins? its awesome! Love the video man it really helped, i went and bought myself a robusto and an awesome torch lighter. thanks for the help
Even though i h8 liting my cigars with a bic lighter, u can get the taste of chemicals iout by blowing out of the cigar a few times or every few puffs wihichc also rids the cigar of the biter smoke form burning tobbaco...cause u want it to roast not burn
I've been looking at trying out a Cigar, But what many video tutorials miss out is, actually, HOW, to smoke. I mean, when you puff the Cigar (like kissing it), don't you inhale slight bits of smoke anyway? I don't see how can suck in the smoke if you don't inhale? I just need to see how to puff.
@SakuChanofthesand I've never had a problem with inhaling even when I first started to smoke. Just spark one up and you'll figure it out, just don't breathe. The best way to look at it is like sucking on a piece of hard candy you're creating suction all within your mouth it's got nothing to do with your lungs. I suppose I'll make a video in the near future, but it's just one of those things you have to cowboy-up and try for yourself.
@joshskorton: Ah right, Thanks. I just couldn't see how sucking on it draws smoke. Because, Say when you drink, you suck on the bottle of water and breath in the liquid, So I thought it may be the same. So, when puffing, do you push your lips and kind of push air onto it?
in my experience there is no difference between bic lighters and torch lighters, that is why i only use wooden matches. and about the wrapper; i had very mild cigars with a maduro wrapper . if you like the nigaragua you will like honduras(flor de copan). i live in europe so i started with cuban cigars but later found out i can get better quality for less money just by going to the honduras or dom rep or nigaragua cigars.anyway cool vid ...and am looking forward to the next ones.
I turned 18 in november, and im planning on starting into the world of cigars and tobacco.

@ChillsBong Almost anything with a soft flame doesn't burn the fuel source 100%, Bics are okay but they definitely impart a flavor.
joshskorton 11 months ago
@joshskorton It should also be noted that some torch lighters can also create a soft flame, if you buy a "hybrid lighter". Those are kinda nifty.
