  • thanx for posting, beautifull

  • woofta nice sounds beautiful

  • I NEED TO LEARN HOW TO DO THIS.

  • so incredibly talented... like seriously talent right there! like proper talent... REAL talent.. gorgeous

  • If only one could minimize the "reeeeeuuuurrr" sound and amplify the whistle sound.

  • @AtariMaxiToriyama It is possible. Mongolian overtone singers can sing in a way that gets rid of the base tone almost completely.

  • He looks like John Malkovitch =)

  • FRIGGIN CRAP ON A WHEAT BIX this guy is off the Ricta Scale!

  • Excellent, Ravi, beautifully done!

  • Wow well learnt, must be hard work

  • ASS

  • i'm mongolian. thank u for notifying our culture to the world. And very good performance indeed Congrats

  • what the FUCK is the point of the soccer button?

  • @S4MBONE Click it and find out.

  • It will never take the place of singing ha ha.

  • @Sixalienasa Uh, but it *is* singing. Using a different and perhaps more advanced technique than regular singing. In regular singing, you only manipulate one note. In throat singing, it's 2 or more notes you're dealing with.

  • @Sixalienasa It is singing. Just a different technique

  • @Lavaiszia It depends on the definition of the word ' singing ' that you use.

    verb (used with object)

    12. to utter with musical modulations of the voice, as a song.

    13. to escort or accompany with singing.

    14. to proclaim enthusiastically.

    15. to bring, send, put, etc., with or by singing: She sang the baby to sleep.

    16. to chant or intone: to sing mass.

Yeah I guess by the Definition of singing, it is singing. But still, I remember my dog had Distemper once.

  • @Lavaiszia Also called canine distemper. an infectious disease chiefly of young dogs, caused by an unidentified virus and characterized by lethargy, fever, catarrh, photophobia, and vomiting.

He sounded a little like this when he coughed.

  • its in DADGAD if that helps, just look up the basic chords

  • This is supposed to be expressive. It does not have to have a steady tempo.

  • Just wonderful - in the combination with the guitar! Sometimes when I drove in the car after having seen the film genghis blues I tried to sing overtones. And I allways tried it wih the song "Amazing Graze" - without knowing that so many people already have done it just with this song. - But I didn't do it well.

  • can you PLEASE post the tab/chords you played for this, its beautiful

  • FRIGGING CRAP ON A CRACKER

Playing (not exactly simple) guitar and throat singing together - that takes some coordination, folks.

  • He could stay on tempo though. Just saying.

The guitar is a nice way to complement the (otherwise) monotonous fundamental tone.

And, as nullclean mantioned above, soul!

    Love it!

  • So great. So happy to have stumbled upon this. I'm fascinated by overtones. Any suggested reading/listening on the subject?
