instead what will make a difference is cleaning the CPU fan and your Videocard far for much lower temps.

@shatuldurlabhji Also don't forget the ram and the mobo xD they generate heat too :P but you are right about the hard drive's and also a lot of dust can cause a short (however i only saw it once) but again it can't short a hard drive xD

not true. Performance can be heavily influenced by "dirty" or dust. Chip sets which are covered in dust causes high temperatures which affect their performance.
