@tub3rcul0s1s Teen Challenge is a great place. sound's to me like you left before you completed???? Not judging you or anything, but I have been to New Horizons and almost the whole staff came out of TC, and went through the Christian Life Ranch. The only flaw is the people in charge. Because like every other religion there is a man behind a desk with people that listen to anything that he says. I went to alot of bible study's at the christian life ranch, and not once did I leave without GOD!!!!

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Its strait up says its gonna suck, NOTHING IS EASY! latter on however it will be shown through your works in heaven.

My son has been on drugs for years. After visiting TC's orientation, he said, "Dad I want to change". Our family is so proud of him. At the age of 26, he was heading for serious trouble, or even possibly death. I watched at his graduation as he told others how they could lay down their life for Jesus Christ and rehearsed Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me." To us, this is a miracle through our Lord and Savior! Praise God!

This is not a passing thing soon to be washed away like cults. They celebrated fifty years of saving people from destroying their own lives and becoming productive and living real lives. If this is a cult, we all need it.

teen challenge is a CULT much like NARCONON and $cientology. their treatment is based on SUBMISSION theology, not science. if you or your loved ones are under control of teen challenge mind control, seek help.

Well, I agree that out treatment is not based on Science, and I also agree that many Teen Challenge centers are based on control and submission, this is sad. There are those of us out there that really do care and really want to help people recieve complete healing from the inside out. Although us men can make serious errors and hurt people at times by being mislead, that never changes who God is and what miricles he can do in a person inspite of us. I am a guy like that....

I am starting to see a very real link between $cientology and Teen Challenge. It seems like they may have used Bush's "Faith Based Initiatives" and TC to legitimize NARCONON. They do share the same Modus Operandi...

Teen Challenge is filled with GOD, Jesus and The Holy Spirit. I know from first hand experience, because I have danced with GOD there. The only submitting you have to do is accept Jesus, then follow GOD and his Word!

I just want to say that teen challenge is no way close to a cult I went through the program a couple of years ago and it was the best thing that I could have done for my family. I had tried other secular rehabs and none worked. I thank "God" for the program every day. If it had not been for the program, my husband, myself, and my son would probably be dead. I have now been clean for almost 2 years, and my family is so proud of me, it is the longest that I have been clean in over 10 years.

@tub3rcul0s1s- My friend was raped by an adult man in the grown ups program (my friend was in the adolescent program). My friend reported it to the staff, and they just kicked the man out (the rapist was supposed to complete the adult program or go to prison). They never called the police, they told my friend "That man is gone. You should not tell your parents about this." So my friend kept this inside for YEARS. I have no respect for Teen Challenge in AZ. I pray they have different staff now.

@tub3rcul0s1s By your comment I know that you do not know anything about Teen Challenge. I read your comment stating a friend got raped. I know that anything can happen but I don't believe hear say. And if that person was indeed raped don't they have the mind set that it is wrong and report it on their own??? I am like Missouri....Show me. I don't buy it. You could just be one of those that want to bash TC so you make up stories.
