i would love another great dane, mine just recently passed but I'm too nervous about getting another one because of all the complicated health risks they have. I wish they lived longer, they are such great dogs.

my name is sydney...i had to put down my great dane 1 week ago. He died of cancer. he also lived to be 5 1/2 but some live to up to 10 years old! (that's how long my other one lived) Great Danes are seewt, beautiful, and loyal.there's bad dane out there. I miss my Maxie-pie :'(

I got my dane, well my mom's dane, 4 years ago. I was nine back then, now I'm almost 13. I can't even remember what she looked like, and when I see photo of her as a puppy it makes me want to cry, and it take ALOT to make me cry. She's just so massive, and powerful, and back then she was a goofy dog that fell all over the place. I have another dog, a Bernese mix, and she's mine, and spends 18+ hours a day with me, but I still love my dane so much.

I never saw dane puppies before; my uncle had one that we all called the cow dog because he had the black and white marks. Great danes are huuuuuge, but they are so cool, and I hope to get one someday :D

So, I just got my great dane, he's my second but first puppy. He seems bored- any tips on what kinds of activities are good for a 9 week old? We walk him and take him out at least 4 times per day for "potty" time. . .

Some great dane puppies are very low key and lay around from the beginning however there is a big difference between board/lazy and lethargic. If he is lethargic I would take him to the vet because he can be sick. Is he eating ok? How is his stool it should be firm not watery. Keep an eye on him. While it is not comon for puppies to be low energy some are especially in giant breed dogs (still not often in my experience)
