This is the M152 incarnation of the M278 platform. I would lov to see this engine develop further to >500HP in NA form. That would be killer! I know Mercedes could do it; the engine has plenty of technology to make it happen. But likely, emissions regulations may squelch that dream.

This 5.5 is not replacing the 5.5 bi turbo,
This model will be used in some of the smaller cars like a slk 55 AMG GL 55 CLK 55
