  • What if you don't have a DVD on your computer?

  • I tried that on sp3 for windows. And when it got to like 60% it asked for the password and username thing. Then continued and stopped at 75%. Then it said, router not successfully configured! PLEASE HELP!!!

  • what's the best Linksys E series router for ps3 online gaming with 50 mbps?

  • I always get stuck up to 25%. then i get a message "We could not find your router"

    WHAT SHOULD I DOOOO?????!!!!!!!!!!!

  • YouTube is not letting me post the link in the comments, but download the cisco connect software directly from linksys, by connecting your computer directly to your cable/dsl modem first, after that, run the cisco connect software follow the steps and see if that works, otherwise you will have to reset the router or use the setup page and configure manually.

  • @ernestjude If you have firewall software installed be sure to turn it off before setup.

  • @ernestjude Same thing happens to me if you have found a way to fix it please message me back telling me how.

  • How do I set up this router to a new location. I previously had it installed and working in my own apartment. I moved and Im trying to set up the router to my new apartment. My laptop recognizes the modem but then it says" no internet access" how do i resolve this?

  • @HolidayG Method

    1. Open your Internet Browser type: 192.168.1.1 (enter)

    2. Login if possible

    3. Status Tab

    4. Release IP Address

    5. Renew IP Address

    6. Wait a few minutes

    7. Open a new browser window and open a webpage to see if it worked

if not, power cycle your cable/dsl modem, reconnect then open a webpage and try again

*Update your question or comment and let me know how it goes*

  • @HolidayG Swee

  • Ok... my mistake.... I am NOT getting wireless internet when I go with my Ipod. I can see CiscoXXX and CiscoXXX guest, sorry about the confusion

  • I have my modem connected to my router, then the router connected to my laptop and Internet is working fine. All that I want to do is put the wireless connection with a password, so people cannot connect to my internet. I just try my Ipod Touch and my wireless CiscoXXX-guest is open to everyone :S. It didnt ask me for any pass.

  • I found the code and description of the error "Your router was not successfully set up":

    82BD0304

An HNAP call to the device failed because the HT TP connection was broken

  • @whefry If you are able to access the router web based setup page then power cycle the modem first, if still not working then clone the mac address then power cycle the cable modem for at least 2 mins don't forget to remove the battery from it as well if applicable, then reconnect it, then refresh the page on the status tab of the page to see if the ip info populates you may have to wait a minute or 2 if still no ip info click release ip then renew ip address, if ip info populates it's works.

  • @mgomez26511 I used the Cisco Connect software from the website, not the CD. I also did this :

    ht tp://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=500669ae82c14eeab88dc77a69b96af3_4865.xml&pid=80&respid=0&snid=2&dispid=0&cpage=search

And now the message that I get is "Your router was not successfully set up"

No error number, nothing more. What should I do then?, Any clue? Thank You

  • @whefry 1. Turn your computers's anti-virus/firewall off then try setup again, 2. Use a different computer if possible then run the setup again, 3. Verify if you can at least ping the router's ip address in the command console, start menu > cmd > ping 192.168.1.1 (enter) or can access the web based setup page by putting the same number in the web browser web address 192.168.1.1 (enter), use the login provided during setup or default password "admin" 4. it's possible the router is defective.

  • I have the E1200 cisco router, I try to installed it but it gave me this message:

    Error code: 82BD0119

Error description: The adapter connection timeout period expired.

I have unplugged the router, the modem, reboot the system, instal again etc and nothing works. Can you give me a hand with this, please??

  • @whefry Don't use the Cisco Connect software on the disc that came with the unit, try downloading Cisco Connect software from Linksys.com this should fix this issue, connect your computer directly to your Cable/DSL modem first without the router so you can download the Cisco Connect software, here is the link:

    ht tp://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/support/routers/E1200
