There is no military intelligence on Iran. Anything that has come out has been from internal-dissident/terrorist groups.

Currently, the Iranian Secret Service, also known as SAVAK, is disputed to be in either first or second place in the world, meaning it's either tied with, just behind, or just ahead of Israel. In any case, it is more effective than the CIA.

Lopez - You're that nut job that keeps saying Iran is no threat. Wake up! All Iran needs is just one nuke bomb to start WW3. They could drop it on Israel, then Israel with its estimated 200 nukes retaliates, and given the dependency of much of the world on oil, WW3 starts. Russia, China, Europe and the U.S. will most likely be involved to protect their interests. The solution is to prevent Iran from getting even 1 nuke.

Too little, and it's almost too late. Didn't we freeze Iranian assets back in the Carter years hoping they'd release the hostages. They eventually released the hostages, anticipating then newly-elected President Reagan, would immediately retaliate. Back then, the Iranians responded to a realistic threat of force, but not economic sanctions. Why would things be any different now.
