@Nagneto I'm saving for a top spec'ed Imac with Logic. In the meantime I'm on a basic laptop, with Mixcraft 5, a simple, but sollid DAW, Audacity, Wavosaur, Soundforge. I use several VSTs, from freeware ones to Alchemy, my favorite. It's a mix of soundsources, blended and altered. I like to think of it as "sculpting" sounds, field recordings, my own voice, found sounds, EQing, filtering, tonns of automation.
Having a vision, training the ears to hear nuances and layering are the best tools.
