That's a very clean set up! I have some similar equipment. Can you tell me what exactly I'm missing to have something like yours. My stuff: Roland Juno 106 Keyboard, Yamaha PSR 530 Keyboard, Boss Dr Rhythm 550 Drum machine, Korg D1200mkII recorder, and a Yamaha MTX8 recorder, no mic's, HP computer (it's okay)...but nothing is connected to it. I guess it's the software that I'm lost about. What is the cheapest way to just get the music from my equipment to the computer?! Any help is great.
Well it depends upon what music recording, the sources, whether you are doing D.I. or miking of a source. Then you have to consider inputs and stuff like that. All of the gear that you have right now is external recorders and if you want to get your sound onto your computer you either have to go with a firewire/usb interface. I would recommend something from focusrite or motu, if you are going into the lower end gear. That should give you a sense of what you do need.
@jasonalara but if you require more inputs or you want to be able to record onto your DAW like pro tools. and you want an all in one solution. I think for the setup you have now for the i/o streaming to your computer and your desire to start recording digitally, you should go with the mbox family of interfaces. They're high quality (somewhat) affordable, and they come bundled with Pro Tools, or as a stand alone interface. However this is just my opinion. Its really all up to you.
idk why everyone seems like they hate it haha I like your setup its better than what I do which is plug everything into my peavey xr-600b mixer haha :)
AT LEAST HE CAN AFFORD THAT SHIT DAM I CANT EVEN AFFORD A KEYBOARD U RICH ASS MUTHER FUCKERS LOOK UP THE GHETTO BOX BLUNTS AND BITCHES THATS THE DEFINITION OF A GHETTO STUDIO THIS KID IS DOIN IT WHO EVER MADE THIS VIDEO KEEP DOIN YO THANG BRU THATS A DOPE STUDIO
Dude, nice room, although I'm not sure I'd call it an "amazing studio tour", your set up is fine for a begginer but it's about as budget as you can get man, I mean, a Casio keyboard? Really? Don't get me wrong, You can make great music with cheap gear but when you use the words "amazing" and "studio" in your video title and then bust out a Casio keyboard, well I kinda found that a little amusing, anyway, apart from that, your setup isnt too bad :P
@spector969 haha i know. The title is complete sarcasm. This is what one would get if you were only getting a cheap piece of gear annually at christmas. This is far from where I want my studio to be hahahaahah.
