I personally think only the Inuits who hunt them in the classic fashion and have been doing so to a LIMITED degree for 1000's of years should be allowed to continue, and I wish even THEY would consider stopping. Having said that, I do not have enough info on the situation to come to an absolute conclusion.

Daryl, why is it that you always fail to mention some of the most important points. What about the fact that meat is not even a necessity for living and that you can survive on vegetables and fruits and non dairy products. And you can get meat substitutes which aren't made of meat. The only reason anyone doesn't want to do that is because they enjoy the flavor of meat too much.

the human body is actually smart enough to synthesize proteins w/o being fed animal flesh. but in this age, people are too busy scrambling for money to have time to hunt. the nuge is awesome for being a hunter (not awesome for anything else) but he's has that luxury; he's rich. if i could go fishing & duck hunting and it were practical, i would eat meat only 3-4x/yr. so i guess that makes me a part time nazi; a black one. that peta chick is a buffoon.

I was a vegetarian for many many years. and I still donate to PETA. because for as extreme as they are, they bring sight into how these poor animals are treated (BEFORE we put them into our mouths!) Now, don't get me wrong. No chicken stands a chance with my ass around.
