It feels like one of the web browser 'free' games, but when you start playing them you notice that 90% of the content requires you to use CreditCard.

So many scams on the internet were Skill and Gameplay has nothing to do with gamers, except how big their CC bill can get by the end of the month.

I do hope such corruption will be extinguished from modern community, once we ascend beyond 'monetary system'. Since this course have ruined a LOT of awesome games.

It seems CCP is now hell-bent on making an FPS at the expense of the game we know and love. If I wanted to buy clothes and dress a dolly I would play the SIMS. But I don't I play EVE ONLINE, and this is OUR GAME!

Its not the microtransactions in themselves that have people so up in arms.

Its the danger that those microtransactions might result in game effecting items going up for sale ruining the sandbox.

Also, the over the top pricing for the items currently in the cash shop aren't realistic.

However if CCP sticks to vanity items only (at a decent price) and say, ship paintjobs. I'd be able to live with it.

The Eve online protest are funny because it is based entirely on hypotheticals.It started with the realease of a newletter whos primary job was to play devils advocate and brianstorm EVERY possible way CCP could use MT's.Not ways that were being seriously discussed,just thrown out there to get perspective.the newsletter got leaked and Eve went mad.now most players are convinced that all ideas from said newletter,are law and are already unsubscribing in droves.Wow,just wow.

This resentment has been building up for awhile now and the micro-transactions are the straw that broke the camel's back.
