  • Fuck dat Big L man best battle rapper ever

  • Comment removed

  • brilliant quality

  • locsta227 im hot

  • this is too 80s lol

  • what i want to know is wtf you would even think of Eminem when you hear this its not even on the same level Eminem is good and all but lets give credit where credit is due and anyone who says he is the best is sadly mistaken its honestly to close to call, but slim is ONE of the best of OUR time. ONE not by any means the BEST

  • @TheRealestSlimShady1 Eminem!? He is only seen as 'the best' cos of the movie 8mile! Dilluded knowledge via media! Eminem (when he was supposedly in his prime) came to the UK on tour and a UK rapper stepped up to battle eminem and destroyed him on stage at his own gig! I could name at least 3 rappers who would destroy him hands down! Im talking respected artists that have won worldwide battle championships, some of which NEVER lost a battle ever! Seen fact and witnessed by many!

  • @marconi69 professor green in his underground prime would of killed Eminem

  • @ShAqLiX which is the point i was making

  • Busy Bee got MURDERED!

  • my tits are SO sore right now!!! :( oooouch!! j

  • ???????????????? we dont need to know that

  • Liar. I bet they aint.

  • Kool Moe Dee won this he's the best

  • Wow the first rap beef. Some beef is competitive and healthy. It creates a loud hoopla. But as we've seen before if it gets too street then people start dying. Thank god the jay-z and nas beef was settled without blood shed. It ended just as it was about to head in the wrong direction.

  • first rap beef was UTFO VS Roxane

  • this beef was in 1982 the roxanne and utfo was in 1987

  • Not really a true "beef" (god I hate that word...). It's been explained after that it wasn't that heartfelt at all. So I'd call the UTFO/Bridgewars hubbub the first true much-publicised "beef", as much as it makes me cringe again to use the word.

  • yeah u right. the utfo and roxanne feud was the first beef to have someone actually respond to a freestyle

  • The Jay-Z Nas beef was what beef is supposed to be- great lyricists competing against each other.

  • Wrong! Try again. That is not what beef is supposed to be. That was all a marketing ploy.

  • was busy tellin him to "SHUT UP" in the background or am i just hearing things?

  • yes busy was tellin him to "SHUT UP" because Kool Moe Dee was kicking his ass

  • nah suger hill waz first

  • damn. kool moe dee killed busy bee. thats one of the best freestyles ive heard in a while. better than most freestyles from the present

  • "To Call Out A Nigga'z Name - Dat'z Some Low Down Shit 'N' If U Wuz Money U'd Be Counterfeit" - Dis Shit Iz Crazy!!!!

  • Kool Moe Dee Killed Busy Bee!

  • i agree on one thing too blues was started by old black men on rocking chairs outside there house down south (america)

  • Well i agree on one thing: America provided the atmosphere for the blues..

  • Shut the fuck up and get your racist shit out of here, you statement has no more truth than saying white people started every major music movement of the twentieth century. You need some extraordinary evidence to back up such an extraordinary claim, and me and everyone else here sees you don't have shit.

  • What about Herbie Mann? He was one of the Godfathers of jazz, and he was whiter than the north pole.

  • He's More likely a Jazz Giant.

Herbie Man is an "modern" jazz musican who peaked late 60's and the 70's. His first record is from 1954. Did a lot of groovy stuff in the 70's. Ice Cube, Pharcyde, 3rd Bass & Digable Planets used samples from him..

  • jazz and rock n' roll were white/black collaborations from the start. you need to shut up with that racist shit

  • Not a collaboration

  • lol dis is so joke lol

  • contemporary rap is a joke, this was the beginning of something original.

  • lol this was almost 30 years ago but most MCs today cant spit battle lyrics like this.

  • Quality, finally i've heard the great battle thanks!

Hey historians lets not forget about the Last Poets and Gil Scott Heron.

  • yeah its like that time elvis battled buddy holly init??

what the fuck are u lot on about.

    were u even born?

    move on ....

bet your the twats that still disscuss pac and big.

    get over it.

    hip hops about progressing,

    not regressing.

    TOYS

  • If you don't know where you come from you can not know where you are going! Rap isn't progressing right now because it is too commercial and you're obviously too brainwashed to recognize that!

  • its only commercial if your into commercial rap, and im an english rapper (since 98) i know my history, dont talk to me about brain washed either..most of these compilation boys never even been diggin for breaks and dont know the first thing about mid-school rap or graffiti, rap isnt progressing cos people are too busy "beefing" and not actually contributing to the culture as a whole.

stick that in ya recognization hole and smoke it.

  • how much of a cliche was your first statement anyway?

  • First off pussy! I said what I needed to say and let you say your piece. Now you want to come back again, bitch! We can go on forever about whether rap is commercialized or not and I'd win. Because if it wasn't so commercialized then you might have a deal! How about that. Maybe, you just like most of the fuckers that out now and only rap about jewelry, cars and cribs that you don't own or women that you don't have! Another thing, what kind of man talks about another mans hole's in any damn way!

  • fuck a deal, how do u know what music i listen to make or appreciate? fuck rap im about hip hop you toy, WHAT WOULD YOU WIN.??? FUCK ALL, thats right PUSSY HOLE!!!

go fuck your opinionated self.......what have you ever contributed to the culture???? nothing but your dry youtube comments.

  • your obviously not a part of it if you think raps not progressing???? maybe your bitter......TOY.....take the shame

  • You're a bitch! You can't do nothing but try to have the last word. Fuck a deal because you're gross. And yes, the culture is not progressing it is stagnate. And the comments are here for my opinions! You're wasting my time.

  • ye YOU WIN heres a medal.....im just bored...your just a wasteman so ye...im wasteing your time......think twice b4 u aim your bullshit cannon in my direction and thats right you fuckin homo, im grotesque dis-cus-ting.....rap stagnates (maybe in your hip hop community) cos of sycophantic fucks like YOU. an thats all i got to say.........what you got to tell me now? (let me tell you in fact) NOTHING

  • "Kool Moe Dee signed up for the competition then did a sneak attack at Busy Bee"<--Kool Moe Dee has said in interviews that he was the host of the event. Do more research next time please. Thank you :)

  • Yes, Moe Dee was the host of the event, but he was not originally signed up to battle. His participating and the rhyme he dropped was not expected, so it was actually a "sneak" attack.

  • I can see BusyBee being the high point of 70s HipHop and Kool Moe Dee moving it in the 80s HipHop.

  • DAAAAAM MOE DEE ripped his ass apart (how can i take a title u aint got)wow! love dat line lol!

  • haha "thats why im on moe dees dick"..fuck hip hop was dope before everyone liked it

  • Kool Moe Dee,Kane,EPMD,Rakiem, KRS 1 are all ol school legends of hip hop

  • hip hop derives from all styles of music

  • Hip-Hop was started in the South Bronx in the MId 70's when Deejays like Kool Herc had block party's and they would mixx reggae records with disco and funk..With an Emcee who was the hype man.

  • "place to be" lol

  • no guns, no serious threats, just straight up hip hop.

  • Your not #1. You even the best and can't win no real mc contest. One of the best lines in this diss song.

  • question for old school heads..in the movie style wars whats the name of the song playing on the radio that frosty freeze keeps rewinding..i think its saying "im the b-u-s-y the b-e-e-"

  • Look people I watched Bob Dylan's Don't look back documentry made in 1965 & there was a guy in the street raping freestyle but it was'nt reconised then as a true form of music it just shows how good dylan was to pick up on it & write the classic SUBTRAINEAN HOMESICK BLUES

  • 65? hip hop has only been around since 70 or 73 depending on who you talk to. of course there are other scattered forms that are similar that predated it, including "Subterranean Homesick Blues," but freestyle rapping wasn't really developed until somewhere around the mid 70's.

  • Who cares where it started. The more important is that it will never end!!!

  • hip hop was not created by africa in the olden days..it had a influence on it..same with rock, jazz, and all other types of music, but it did not create hip hop, hip hop was a new style presented in new york

  • hip hop started in the bronx, dumb ass.

  • act crinklecut... hip hop was invented a long long time ago in africa when cheifs would basically rap to the drums beating in rituals.... but hip hop started in brookyln in the early 70's and the first offical rap record was rappers delight by sugarhill gang in 79

  • Griots were as far as History can recall were The First Mc's Obviuosly without Mics. The Druids were the Celtic euro equavilant buts thats going of track-but Hip Hop Starting out In Brooklyn now that I got to know?

  • That's your opinion. Yeah 'rap' is ancient but Hip Hop is American music. And it obviously started sooner than the 70's with the godfather. And no,the first "commercial" rap record was Rappers Delight. The first official will remain unknown like who was the original "blues" artist. O, and you spelled chief wrong. You should study more.

  • so this is the infamous battle at Harlem World??? Wow I want to hear the full version DAMN DAMN DAMN. THIS IS HIP-HOP right here

  • busy bee was a battle rapper. they just battled different back then. they tried to rock the crowd and brag about self more. Moe dee was just a rap scientist who was original.

  • I guess thats why kool moe dee is trecherous

  • "Leave that bom'-diddy-bah-bullshit alone."

I think my favourite is "if you were money, man, you'd be counterfeit."

  • How can I take a title you aint got?

  • Getting money in 82. Thats fucking awesome

  • Moe Dee was a monster, but on the real this was the first of a couple of Moe Dee sucker punches. He is a smart brother and an opportunist.

  • yeah it was a sucker punch, but it's not like busy b could beat him in a fair fight. He didn't throw the sucker punch because he needed to beat Busy, he threw it because it wanted the attention in his direction.

  • lol they fought about it??

    madness

  • They didnt. And it all happened since Busy Bee was saying he was the best MS in the house and Kool Moe Dee took offence. Also Moe Dee wasnt in the crowd, but hosting the MC competition that was happening at the venue night.

  • Thats 'MC', not 'MS'..

  • Busy Bee Wasnt a battle rapper, also u have to understand busy bee didnt even kno he was in a battle, moe dee came on stage & jus killed it...moe dee a beast

  • Oscar Wilde invented hip hop on March 17th 1880 with the release of his first full-length LP "I Had Your Dad". It was panned by homophobic critics and had little commercial success. Wilde later said on the subject, "Without me it would just be "aweso"" ~ Oscar Wilde

  • Hip Hop started in the small Rec Room at 1520 Sedgwick Avenue in the south-Bronx on August 11, 1973.

  • Sedgwick Forever!! I used to live on Sedgwick and Fordham...

  • I stand corrected Trooper was released by the cold crush brothers in 1982. But it was Originally a UK only EP release, Never been to the UK. So In New York this Album did not exist. I give to the B-Boys of the UK, you guys know the Old school....

  • trooper is the dog's bollocks, as we say over here - that means stupid fly to those of you over the deep blue. respect pr2409!

  • i heard about it soo many times and i finally heard it, wow. Kool Moe go him.

  • i've got a cold crush brothers album. what you talkin bout my man?

  • What do you have a Compilations album, what's the name of the album ???? They had a few singles "The Weekend," "Punk Rock Rap," "Fresh , Wild, Fly, and Bold," and "Heartbreakers." but never an album.. I said cold crush never had an album, definition of album " a collections of recordings" more than one.... They NEVER had an album...

  • did you know that this is edited...its not the full version

  • By the way, Cold Crush Borthers never released an album !! They were on the 1982 soundtrack for Wild Style.. a lot of thier battle tapes have been put on wax in the late 80's and 90's but they never recorded an album of thier own on wax...

  • "Rappers Delight" came out in 1979. Funky four plus one more"that's the joint" and Kurtis Blow "The Breaks" both released in 1980. The only difference Blow was released on Mercury Label a multi-million dollar company. Funky four released on a little mom and pops label Sugarhill records..

  • Eh Sugar hill's first album was 1980 so was Cold Crush. Funky 4 formed in '79 and never released a Full length album. So maybe they was a couple of weeks earlier with their albums then Kurtis don't know.

  • Hip Hop have secret ancient elements in it. Hip Hop is not wearing your pants sagging, large clothes, cursing excessively, degrading to women, etc. All of that have nothing to do with real hip hop. Hip Hop is knowledge of oneself to overcome adversaries.

  • a bunch of people that really know the history debating...it's great really.

  • Shit goes back to Africa it is part of our culture we had to keep this shit under raps during slavery or the whit slave owner could have your wife raped or killed, your children raped or killed and in most cases you were killed...and then they wonder why Black people want to get so revolutionary on they ass.

  • Hey wake up! :) Kurtis blow was the first with a full album! Beasties was a couple years later.

  • By That post I know you are not from anywhere from NYC or better yet the Boggie Down Bronx. Know your hip hop history before you post some dumb shit like that Hip Hop and Rap goes back to 1975 dumb ass. I can give you 30 people who had Albums out before Kurtis and Beasties check you facts!!!!

  • Nah it has nothing to do with where you come rom. Hip hop goes even back earlier then '75 to like '72, '73 when the first dj's arrived (Hollywood, Bam). And who made a fully album before Kurtis (1980) then? All i know is they made singles not albums.

  • Kurtis Blow was the first rap artist to sign with a major record label that was in 79. The Crash Crew was the first recorded artist that was back in 77. Cold crush brother, funky four plus one, damm even the sugar hill gang had a album out before Kurtis had one out.. DJ Hollywood or Love Bug starski coined the term Hip Hop back in 72. Can't forget Dj Kool Herc who started spinning wax in 70. Thats a small lesson in Hip Hop.. Oh yeah Beastie Boys did not come out with thier first album until 86.

  • oh i wonder who put the beastie boys album out?where you around in 1966?you must have been coz you`re senile and your mind seems to be playing tricks on you

  • whites started rap? where did u get some dumb shit like that?

  • that is the most wack shit ive ever heard in my life, dont fuckin tell me ur basin rap's roots on fuckin batman an the fuckin beastie boys. rap derived from jazz, shithead. who predominantly played jazz? fuckin cracker

  • (psst... i think he's joking...)

  • "Kool Moe Dee was in the crowd"

He was the damn host. Get your story straight.

  • the real roxanne was first.

  • The textbook on rap- page 1

  • You gotta love it!!!

  • that was my little brother on my acct, he's 18 and a rap dumbass
