Is this free?!! I have signed up for fring, and only have called other fring people. I have never used the "dialer" and i have signed in on msn... is this all free?!!

The application is free.

If you wanna make a call to other fring/skype/MSN (etc) buddies - that's also free.

If you want to make calls to landlines you need to have a SkypeOut account or a SIP account.

No, that is not how it works. First off, it's not free. It doesn't just connect to Skype and, you can't make Skype to Skype calls via mobile. In order to make calls- you have to sign up for a VoIP provider. That uses SIP. You must have SIP in order to make ANY calls. Skype out calls require pre paid minutes or, a subscription / monthly fee. Fring is a client only, doesn't support links in IM either. EQO does a better job at IM than Fring. But, in any case, your oversimplifying it there mrrcorn

Fring is free from Skype to Skype or any Instant Messenger to another mobile using fring or computer running IM. (FREE)

To call landlines or cell phones it cost money.

Last time I checked, In order to make a Skype to Skype, mobile to mobile call, you had to pay for the service in either pre-paid plan or as you go plan so unless they changed it to where it's now free for M2M, I don't see how this can be called free. The other thing was, I couldn't get it to work as none of the buddies showed up despite being signed up and having Fring accounts including Fringland. He and I had worked on trying to get it to work but, we couldn't get it to work.

Mobile to Mobile is free if you're using Data over wifi or 3g. If you choose to use CellPhone to Cellphone or Mobile phone to Mobile phone using a PHONE number, that cost money.

The Skype pc client on an iphone etc is free like a pc. Even to talk to another smart phone so long as it's using data.

Skype to Skype PC / Mac calls are free but, again, last time I had looked into setting this up, Skype to Skype via M2M was not free. Fring is a client that interfaces with other SIP packages. It's also a IM client but, at the time we had checked it out, we didn't like the software as it was buggy and didn't support direct links like some other software packages did. Maybe they have improved it but, last time we used it we found Fring to be unimpressive. The online database was also poor to use.

OK, I looked at this for and I kid you not I looked at for only 5 mins TOPS.

1 install onto a WIFI connection device. The Ipod Touch had a WIFI connection so it works by using the internet to connect like SKYPE. Simple really.

Resonce: Not using the 3G network, it uses the internet, So you can save cash when in a WIFI hotspot. Like most area's there FREEE ie McD's. Again simple.

I don't know what ur saying but YES Fring is Free and works with SKYPE To SKYPE or MSN to MSN etc for FREE.

Calling Landlines or Cell phones cost money. Skype has great rates.

ok i found some bugs.. when i call to "1-800-466-4411" on ipod touch,

which is google 411 service. there is no keypad during the call,, so i can't type zipcode.. yeah please fix this problem on next version, thank you!

doesn't work on iphone 3g, have a strong wlan connection tried the whole skype thing for outbound calls doesn't work. all it does it acts like it's going to make the call then it disconnects. poor app reviews on app store also at least its free

you have to dial 001 before the actual phone number if you are in the U.S. It says in the help section.
