DELL COMPUTERS I HAVE GOT AN 18 HUNDERD DOLLER ALIEN COM FROM YOU GUYS ON NOV 4 2011 . TODAY IS JAN 18 2012. I GOT THIS COMPUTER FROM YOU FOR MY SON 12 AUSTIN .THE ONE PRESANT OF TWO I WAS ABLE TO GIVE HIM FOR CHRISTMAS .. THE COMPUTER HAS CRASH… I HAVE ONLY MADE ONE PAYMENT ON THIS .. AND ITS BROKEN … HOW LONG DOES MY SON HAVE TO WAIT .. MARK HATCH 9786834241 …
It's really a must for every rep to obtain all information to be notated on the customer's account because if ever customer will call, the next rep that will receive the call will know what to do based on previous transaction. It's also for the customer's account to be secure because here in USA, fraud is widespread.
LoL, I work for a power company and have to deal with people who have had there power disconnect for non payment, power outage. And I thought my calls were bad. This dude was a real fucking dumbass and a asshole.
Dell had a stupid policy wherein you cannot support a customer unless u verify cust details. If u proceed then the QA team will give u a red alert which means u r walking towards the gate of that stupid company called Dell. Damn Mr. Dell enjoys with his dummy looking smile in mags when agents and customers are screwed bcos of his stupid policies bcos if u r in dell even while $h1tt1ing u have to follow policies
ha ha ha ah...sorry I can't stop laughing!!!!!! I just gave it to you..'I'm her son,Godamn you!!!!!Why you need all that????What the hell and the fuck is going on to this godamn thing.....
It gets worse and worse. I called consumer complaint and got a computer asking if I want english or spanich. They asked this for every question. I finally got frustrated and hung up. I bought a Dell. What a mistake! My HD went off line and they had a Disk with drivers! Did I say my DVD/CD was down! So my Dell cannot load the disk! The computer I bought I thought was from the USA was from ASIA!
Kudos to the agent for continuing to follow protocol and keeping his cool despite the stressful situation. I hope he got a raise or at least a bonus, lol.
this agent was a complete moron. You don't handle an irate customer like that.
This one of those situations where you can throw protocol in the trash. Tell him how to turn it off, then collect his information.
He was obviously taunting the customer, doing it on purpose to make him more mad. He was probably putting himself on mute and probably laughing his head off.
@onemanrls You know what? You are the moron. The agent has to verify the identity of the caller, or he can lose his job. The reason is because Dell can be sued. He's not asking the questions to mock the caller, he's just trying to do his job, and this idiot would have been helped a lot faster if he would have shut up and just answered the questions.
You can't get sued unless he reveals personal information to the customer. Dell can provide technical support without even asking you your name, that's not against the law.
They collect your information for their own convenience and for their own file.
@wunderbarefrau, that is unfair categorizing Americans like that. What pisses us off is purchasing US products and receiving overseas support from Asia, where they can hardley speak English and have very little technical knowledge. This guy was fortunate, he was talking to an American. US companies that outsource to Asian countries to save money should be made to pay a higher tax! I hate dealing with customer support or tech support from overseas call centers.
i've dealt with some nasty tech support before, usually they are nasty because of all the nasty people they deal with every day. But if you just calm down and relax and deal with angry people in a kind way, you will see they will calm down as well.
its not fake...it happens ...cuse most americans are really hot tempered.i work as a customer service representative in a mobile company and they are like that they will shout and curse you over the phone..
I work Tech support at a college and we deal entirely with Dell. I wholeheartedly agree with the poor guy trying to get his problem solved. I spent 1:15 trying to get a power supply replaced that was frayed. The wire was split and destroyed. I had to give service tags repeatedly I had to remind them of my name, and phone number. We have a complete care warranty with replacement and they wasted over an hour of my time with their freakin' question sheet. the moral.... DOWN WITH DELL SUPPORT STAFF!
icedutopia Yah they might have all your personal info ,but your boss has all yours as well & in the long run that person loses more then the angry customer ! Why you may ask ? ever hear of the fbi ? or the fact that your boss wants to keep a clean rep so he his more likely to go alone with the law plus try to get a job with a criminal record and most CC write off any charges from fraud think about that !
ive been working tech support for years and this is by far the funniest thing ive heard that hadnt happened to me myself. i have to give the guy props for sitting there the whole time and not getting heated with the customer.
here's to those ppl like that think about something the next time you consider shouting at the rep - they have your name, address, and (usually) all your contact numbers. you have their first name, which might not even be their name.
then remember that that person gets abused for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.
now imagine how you would feel in that situation. and imagine all the things you can do to get revenge with ALL the person's information (including their credit card information too ;)
At least you had a American tech, I have been dealing with these people for 11 weeks, they could not re-install the operating system and that was three different technicians.
