Amazing song. I've seen him twice. Both times in Nashville. The 1st time at the Ryman Auditorium with Randy Houser. Is there a better venue to see the only real deal country act out there today? This guy is not smoke and mirrors, His live performance is just as good and better in some instances than his recorded material. I could hear Willie singing this song real easy. Jamey is our last hope for keeping old school country alive. God bless Jamey Johnson. I ain't bashful, I'm from Nashville!!!
Thank you Jamey for all the Saturday nights you have been singing to us as we grilled out and drinking w/ friends that should b family. You have made a differences in our nights.
I love this song, and I grew up on real country music, it was as pervasive in my childhood as catching brim in a pond with cane poles, I have not heard this kind of music since I was a little kid in the seventies. And that statement above is correct, how you could you bash something real, and I hope most folks these days celebrate it, there is so much wonderful music that goes lost because it is not marketed, or fed to the masses like anything else.
@11ae09 He 100% DOES NOT write songs for anybody else he writes them from his pen to gods ears and other musican buy them and cut them, he has said that multiple times. They are his interpretaions on his life and is nice enought to let others cut them!!
This is the song he should cut on single for radio maybe extend the solo and sing the chorus one more time Ithink it would kill the airwaves and get exposure to the best album in country since That lonesome song
@Firefighter72BG Yeah it makes me mad dude, They say there country, And go blare that jason aldean junk, Dont get me wrong. i like Jason aldeans music, But this is just.. Awesome, This touches home to me, And his song 'They call me country' Me and some of my guy friends was in town and blaring his music.. People looked at us like we were dumb as hell lol
Jamey should have won in the ACM's but Country music has gone to fucking shit I can hardly watch the Fucking ACM'S .. Fucking Jennifer Neddles, Carrie underwood, Taylor Swift Keith urban, Lady A Sugarland, Band perry All of them fucking garbage and more than just them fucking garbage
jj is the real deal i have been fortunate enogh to see him live and speek with him he in my opinion is living and breathing every word he writes and sings merle, jones whitley ,waylon, ralph stanley etc set standards that we rarley get a glimpse off but jamey is keeping traditional country alive so please buy at ticket or an album and support him nashville has pissed away many other talented men singletary, wesley dennis and others lets prove them wrong
Jamey you are countries last life line. There is little that gives me hope for the genre anymore, but you by far are the best thing in a LONG time. You don't get enough air time on the radio, but I'm sure that will change soon as more and more people hear your music. Long live outlaws!
