  • was this made for "The Graduate"?

  • @lovethebombfilms I was going to ask the same question. When you hear the lyrics it seems it was created for the graduate.

  • @isaandr It was created for the "Graduate". During the production of the film Nichols wanted badly new songs from Simon and Garfunkel. Simon hadn't the time to write new songs for the film but he had a new but unfinished song "Mrs Roosevelt" which was renamed "Mrs Robinson" to match the film. Also that's why in the movie they don't play the full version.

  • This takes me back to being a kid, hot summer- my mum standing outside cleaning the window while I sat on the window seat inside watching her, I can still smell the chalky windowlean, This song was playing on a record on mum and dads radiogram, everytime i hear it i'm a little girl again and i see her dancing as she was cleaning. They don't make them like this any more...

  • i remember this song from the sixties! ,and Simon and Garfunkel were part of that era that will live forever ,with their wonderful music and talent,.. Peace to all ! As far as people commenting on Justin Bieber, i say give the kid some slack,he is young still and if he makes the fans happy,so be it.

  • I'm 14 and I grew up listening to this music. I don't care what anyone says, this is a fucking awesome song.

  • @xtwi1ightx12 your profile says 18... yet I don't believe that either!!!!! Man stop talking crap its UTUBE who cares if your 14, 18, or even 48 its all about appreciation

  • @IPITYTHEFOOLZ Im a sperm and my gal "eggie" love it to,,,TOPPED

  • @toy644u damn

  • @xtwi1ightx12 im 11 and i enjoy the classics!!!! Why can't everyone enjoy them no matter what age. I guess because the kids my age listen to all that hip-hop. Anyway my point is just enjoy the music no matter what age you are!!

  • @ShootingStarFilms1 werent we taught in like 1st grade to not share our age on the internet?

  • @shippodna you must be pretty damn young, the internet didn't exist when i was in 1st grade.

  • @shippodna when I was in first grade my teacher wouldn't have known what the internet was

  • @xtwi1ightx12 Probably some bieber-stalkers or something like that lol

  • @xtwi1ightx12 im 14 also

  • @xtwi1ightx12 same (about the being 14 thing and loving the classics yeahh) this song is incredible :P

  • @xtwi1ightx12 You don't have to tell anyone how old you are. If someone wants to know how old you are, they will ask you.

I'm Chuck Norris and I haven't even seen this message.

  • @xtwi1ightx12 that doesn't make you cool.

  • @xtwi1ightx12 it doesn't matter what age you are, just the fact that you enjoy good music is enough(:

  • The 60's was not a corrupt time period. It was a time of uninhibited expression of Love, Peace, Music and Art. The 60's produced the most creative music from the most diverse musical groups, Also the best television shows. The downside was the Vietnam War however it brought the young people together in protest. Freedom and Liberty were at the forefront of a united country.

  • @gannonb4u

The country was NOT united in the 1960s. The country has rarely been united. Maybe 1932-1945 but rarely before and rarely after.

  • @gannonb4u The Vietnam war was a downside? Hell no it wasn't. We wasted tons of fuckin commie gooks. That fucking kicks ass, we napalmed those fuckers to hell. You're just a liberal pansy faggot.

  • I've been called a MILF. Never thought I'd be old enough to be a Mrs. Robinson. Guess it's a compliment..All those drugs I did in the sixties and seventies must have preserved me well!!! LOL

  • @TheMustangsally75 lol milf druggie

  • @TheMustangsally75 Lucky old you! They left ME impotent and insane :(

  • awesome tune

  • american pie. stifflers mom.

  • @evancarter32 Heres to you ms.Stiffler :)

  • the guitarwork on this song is so ahead of its time. i've been a devout metalhead ( rhoads, sabbath, malmsteen, avenged) since i was 15- but when i heard this record on my dads turntable as a 13 year old, that was it. i HAD to learn how to make sounds like that. so i bought a guitar. almost 30 yrs later, and i still play and still love hearing it. they're so talented. the guitars are like a flowing stream. perfection.

  • A coworker I had a thing for called me this once....yeah, I'm a bit older, but if I see him...he's gettin smacked! lol Or, maybe somethin else...:D

  • Going it alone, neither Simon nor Garfunkel was as successful. This dual defined an era. All these years later, their music has withstood the test of time. Simply incredible.

  • Obviously 14 people have no clue that they wouldn't be listening to "their" music if it wasn't for these great artist back in the day.

  • hu, 14 people have lost their hearing,

  • @entrique8872 its goo goo ga joob by the beatles not koo koo ka choo

  • Y ESE KOO KOO KA' CHOO ES DE THE BEATLES.

  • I went on a little tour around youtube to listen to coverversions of this song, and now im back.. I feel safe and home <3

  • 12 dislikes???? :@

  • Comment removed

  • Este gran duo hizo muy buenas (y famosas) canciones, entre ellas ésta, que es la que mas me gusta. A Tazwegian: Me conmueve esa parte: ¿Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio? A nation turns it's lonely eyes to you...(¿Donde te has ido JDM? Todo un pais vuelve sus solitarios ojos hacia ti) DiMaggio era poco menos que un heroe y hasta los soldados del frente preguntaban por sus actuaciones en los partidos.Batió todos los records y era hijo de un pescador.Un simbolo.

  • Those 11 dislikes are probably by self-conscious 8th graders who want to fit in with today's popular music.

But deep inside, they like this song.

  • @NintenFan0900 Hey I'm in grade 8 and I love Simon and Garfunkel. They're my favourite band.

  • @NintenFan0900 I'm an 8th Grader...and this is one of my favorite songs of all time!!! WO0T!!!

  • @sugarmagnolia787 Hell ye bro.

I liked this stuff back when I was in 8th grade to, my parents listened to it so it just grew on me. In fact...my dad has ceased to like Paul Simon but my taste for it still remains, oddly enough, he's the one that introduced me to it.

  • same here. When my mom was pregnant my parent's played Grateful Dead cassettes to here stomach...I recognized Jerry's voice before I did my dad's.

    True Story^^^

  • @NintenFan0900 You tell them!!!!!! Lets these little boys and girls know!!!

  • @NintenFan0900 im in 8th grade and i love this song!!!

  • @NintenFan0900 hey yeah im a self conscious 8 th grader and todays music can suck a D i luv this song

  • @NintenFan0900 Im in tenth grade and I love this song!! :)

  • @NintenFan0900 Now there are 16 self-conscious 8th graders...

  • @NintenFan0900 Maybe it is those cougars who can see themselves in this song.

  • @MermaidBlueFins Oh, I bet cougars love this song. ;)

  • What are you people saying? I'm living proof that all that stuff about "kids these days" isn't true. I'm 14 years old and I will proudly say that this is my favorite song. I'm not "into" rap and other music of today.

  • Lady who?.....lol...what a waste... GAGA was what you did to a baby to make them smile.

  • @1033necromancer Yep. Its lady Goo goo ga ga! :)

  • dont worry my friends , good music will never loose to this $ radio braindead gaga music crap . and if it will , we will soon farm corn on madison q garden ! aaamen

  • I agree, I think that people my age are kind of shoved aside with this old music and films, but if anything, sometimes we think it's better than stuff you get today. I really love Simon and Garfunkel and The Beach Boys, and I never listen to new music.

  • Comment removed

  • Man, fuck off with "kids these days". In the nicest way possible. I know that many people my ages are crack addicted pricks, but I love these two, loved The Graduate. It fucking sucks that everyone under the age of 20 is tared with the same brush.

  • tis music brings me back to my younger days dont judge unless you know what your talking about. this was music and always will be for years to come maybe the generation after us would appreciate it even better.

  • Whenever I hear this song I just see a little red Alfa Romeo convertible screaming along the northern California coast.

  • solid upload - i love the guitar playing. thank you :)

  • I don't get how this or any music by well known artists or bands can have dislikes, if you don't like the song or band or whatever why did you listen to it in the first place

  • @monkeu123456789 People could dislike about the audio quality, or other things.

  • @Codguy77 what a smartass you are...whats wrong with the audio quality?

and what are the "other things"?

it is just a song...you like it or you don't....and if you don't you have no taste in music!

  • @STAEDTLERPermanent WHAT I SAID WAS THERE ARE OTHER REASONS WHY PEOPLE COULD DISLIKE A MUSIC VIDEO ON YOUTUBE, BESIDES DISLIKING THE ARTIST. I WAS MAKING NO COMMENT ABOUT YOUR VIDEO IN ANY WAY AT ALL.

  • my boys and I ran a train on mrs robinson

  • Where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio!?

A nation turns its lonely eyes to you!

  • Music like this is timeless. This is what made growing up in the 60's so great!

  • @gannonb4u but wasnt the 1960s such a corrupt time period?? :/

  • I know! Right?

  • How in gods name is this less popular than "gettin money gettin bitches gettin fame and gettin riches"... What the fuck, world

  • @SuperiorTroll Maybe Simon & Garfunkel, (with all do respect) need to start paper chasin and phat booty bangin' to adapt to the present culture. S-DAWG and G-Funk need to drop a new album.

  • I like Gaga. And this. You snobs. :P

  • @mightybeeb you are completely right. Im 13 and i realize that the world is going in the wrong direction. That doesnt mean i dont like some of the music out today. But this music actually has a meaning behind it. and it makes sense to what they are singing about.

  • eu adoro msr robinsommmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

  • Im four years old and I loves this music

  • And here's to you, Mrs. Robinson

Jesus loves you more than you will know (Wo, wo, wo)

    God bless you p
