this movie caused quite a controversy when it came out... by the same type of people that try to suffocate self expression... what ever happened to the free world??? Tell u what... WE get CENSORED NOW... thanks alot Republican greed monsters
well tbh i think age is qutie important to know about its interesting to know that there are other young people listeing to good music..im 15.....i like good music..as an apposed to msot the other 15 year olds whom of which listen to garbage..
@isaandr It was created for the "Graduate". During the production of the film Nichols wanted badly new songs from Simon and Garfunkel. Simon hadn't the time to write new songs for the film but he had a new but unfinished song "Mrs Roosevelt" which was renamed "Mrs Robinson" to match the film. Also that's why in the movie they don't play the full version.
This has been played on the local radio station a few times over the last week and I was wondering who sings it so I can get in off iTunes. Now I know :)
sorry but i listen to this when i go to school and there's is a gorgeous woman sitting sometimes in front, i so want to talk to her but i smile listening to this :) teen life XD

You younger folks should have been in Cebtral Park with Simon & Garfunkel...There wasn't a peson NOT standing on their feet...What a sight...What an Experience.
This takes me back to being a kid, hot summer- my mum standing outside cleaning the window while I sat on the window seat inside watching her, I can still smell the chalky windowlean, This song was playing on a record on mum and dads radiogram, everytime i hear it i'm a little girl again and i see her dancing as she was cleaning. They don't make them like this any more...
i remember this song from the sixties! ,and Simon and Garfunkel were part of that era that will live forever ,with their wonderful music and talent,.. Peace to all ! As far as people commenting on Justin Bieber, i say give the kid some slack,he is young still and if he makes the fans happy,so be it.
@xtwi1ightx12 your profile says 18... yet I don't believe that either!!!!! Man stop talking crap its UTUBE who cares if your 14, 18, or even 48 its all about appreciation
@xtwi1ightx12 im 11 and i enjoy the classics!!!! Why can't everyone enjoy them no matter what age. I guess because the kids my age listen to all that hip-hop. Anyway my point is just enjoy the music no matter what age you are!!
The 60's was not a corrupt time period. It was a time of uninhibited expression of Love, Peace, Music and Art. The 60's produced the most creative music from the most diverse musical groups, Also the best television shows. The downside was the Vietnam War however it brought the young people together in protest. Freedom and Liberty were at the forefront of a united country.
@gannonb4u The Vietnam war was a downside? Hell no it wasn't. We wasted tons of fuckin commie gooks. That fucking kicks ass, we napalmed those fuckers to hell. You're just a liberal pansy faggot.
I've been called a MILF. Never thought I'd be old enough to be a Mrs. Robinson. Guess it's a compliment..All those drugs I did in the sixties and seventies must have preserved me well!!! LOL
the guitarwork on this song is so ahead of its time. i've been a devout metalhead ( rhoads, sabbath, malmsteen, avenged) since i was 15- but when i heard this record on my dads turntable as a 13 year old, that was it. i HAD to learn how to make sounds like that. so i bought a guitar. almost 30 yrs later, and i still play and still love hearing it. they're so talented. the guitars are like a flowing stream. perfection.
Going it alone, neither Simon nor Garfunkel was as successful. This dual defined an era. All these years later, their music has withstood the test of time. Simply incredible.
Este gran duo hizo muy buenas (y famosas) canciones, entre ellas ésta, que es la que mas me gusta. A Tazwegian: Me conmueve esa parte: ¿Where have you gone Joe DiMaggio? @mightybeeb you are completely right. Im 13 and i realize that the world is going in the wrong direction. That doesnt mean i dont like some of the music out today. But this music actually has a meaning behind it. and it makes sense to what they are singing about.
