  • Love it when they cherry-pick and quote mine. It's like I can picture them reading the passage or book, coming to that phrase, and then closing the book immediately to call their pastor and tell them the "gospel". HA. I can only imagine that they do the same thing with the Bible.

  • Which you very well know, that there is no limit to the bad reasoning for beliefs that are both correct and incorrect. If the point of this video is just to show that (and with the warning that we all need to work on our critical thinking) then show poor reasoning in alt health, and then in conventional medicine: statin drugs, PPI's, osteoporosis medications, psychiatry are all open targets. But it seems to real objective it to say the official status quo is correct, and dissenters are wrong.

  • @slmrcs the thin is that the status quo didin't get there for no reason.

  • @sailornaruto39 Appeal to masses logical fallacy.

  • @slmrcs what i was calling status quo is not what it looked like sorry.I meant more so understanding the source. We trust doctors because we understand the scrutiny that their claims have to go through.

  • @slmrcs Not really, what it shows is that if there are alternate views they need to be tested scientifically. Figure out what would disprove them, double blind tests are an excellent example of that, where we can ensure that all that is being measured is the efficacy of the treatment and that the placebo affect will be controlled.

  • @Darkstar1484 Double blind placebo studies can be useful, but not the final determiner. The same diagnosis in conventional western medicine can have many different causes using other schools of medicine (TCM, german biological medicine - as explained by reckeweg, and more perspectives on how the body works most people never heard of). The double blind placebo controlled study is based on a narrow perspective that takes into account what makes people with a specific "disease" similar" however...

  • @slmrcs That 'narrow' field being the one where we actually use science and evidence and things that actually work? DO you know what they call alternative medicine that actually works? They call it medicine.

  • Individual differences are ignored. Dismissed as irrelevant. Perhaps a therapy may totally fail the double blind study, but for a handful of people is what they need, do to more individual factors? Often in the "skeptic" community is an attitude that says "If I don't know something, if I and official western science has not yet realized something, the it doesn't exist." Reductionism replaces god, and is beyond self examination. Reductionism doesn't work for health, or sociology.

  • @slmrcs Those few people mat just be having a placebo reaction, IE the therapy or medicine itself does nothing. it's the individuals reaction to it. You seem to have a problem with the idea of testing something. Testing is how we understand if it works or if it doesn't. Then again maybe you'd be content with crystals and chanting, I'd rather use stuff that actually works when it comes to cancer and other life threatening conditions. Call me old fashioned that way.

  • @Darkstar1484 The very fact of the placebo phenomenon indicates that the human mind is a very powerful agent and is indeed capable of curing the body. Now, if the human mind is capable of making us well then it must also be capable of making us sick.

What experiments have been done to test to what degree physical therapies work or to what degree it is our minds that cause them to work? What experiments have been done on the bone-pointing phenomenon, which is the reverse?

  • There is an information overload on the Internet. If you pick ANY subject, you can find people online who say nonsense about it, from either position (assuming there is a false dichotomy). Putting together videos like this implies that they status quo (or your) position is correct and based on sound reasoning, and alternative views (which you lump all together) are not. There is poor reasoning on all sides, including in the hall of academia, official medicine, and official science.

  • People who think like this shouldn't be allowed in universities or any where near an institution that makes use of knowledge that can have a profound effect on the future.

  • Im immuin to confirmation bias. I'd make a good scientest. I should go back to skool and lurn me some biology. Google spellcheck doesnt pick out the most common misspellings for words. Whats up with that?

  • Thanks for the videos. I've yet to find one I didn't enjoy from start to finish, even if the commentary on some was, concerning, with regards to the ability to critically consider and the drive to determine the current position of Emperor Evidence. And as a completely off topic note: I despise horizontal gene transfer, when it happens in the cultures I'm testing, and when I didn't induce it. All that work, just to give the autoclave more stuff to sterilize.

  • People would not find the need to attribute scientific findings as fraudulent or corporately tainted if health care in the country that they lived was not based on their ability to pay for the treatments.

Although Countries like the UK have had to fight with treatments like Homeopothy for validity it was because people thought it worked rather than in the US where people fight with real treatment because they think it does not simply because the price of such treatment is too high.

  • @rubbara havin g to pay for something doesn't mean that they don't have things that work,it just means they are assholes withholding the goods

  • appinsys[Dot]com/GlobalWarming/GW_4CE_Glaciers[Dot]htm

Here is a blog that does what the IPCC should have done: collect all available data. All sources are cited, of course.

AGW can only be sold to the public so efficiently because our industrial revolution coincided with a bigger warming trend, coming out of the little ice age.

  • ...science has been wrong on many ideas as well.

  • There is no 'they' just you and me continuing to support the cultural norm by not being skeptical about the root of social concern. Blinded by the Pursuit of Profit those who are called the 'NWO' are not the problem. They are the symptom. Take them out and its a matter of time b4 someone else fills their shoes. The problem is the mechanism that creates such behavior.

The world seems to be stuck in trying to change everyone around them. If they'd only realize its themselves that needs to change.

  • And exactly how much was Pfizer's check to you this month, you scum?

Are you even one person, or are you just the voice actor working for the disgusting PR firm that churned this propaganda out?

New World Order, indeed, the people will have the government that they deserve.

Not me though, I'm retreating to my reserve trailer by 2012.

I am not going down without a fight.

NEVER will I take the chip, no matter how much you tell me it helps me.

  • @AnonymousElektron OH NO! there's fluoride in the water! They are trying to introduce a foreign substance to your precious bodily fluids! Vaccines are bad for us and HIV is a hoax! Aliens and Elvis presley are alive on earth, JFK was killed by the CIA, 911 was an inside job, George Bush is in the Illuminati, Obama is a foreigner, global warming is a hoax, evolution is bullshit, germ theory never did anyone any good and OJ didn't have his wife killed! It all makes sense now!

  • @creepyoldman2 flouride sir has been proven to make people more docile sheep, just like lithium, which, also, is found in, municipale water supplies around the country.

i think ur mocking me and i dont appreciate it.

have u had ur floride today probably lol.

and ya, when i see sheik obamas birth certs i will feel a lot better, but could have faked those.

u r such a sheep u make me sick ur whats wrong with the world

baaaah bah bah bah to the slaughter.

    ur an NWO tool

  • @AnonymousElektron Alex Jones knows the truth and Glenn Beck is a prophet. Read some Robert Anton Wilson. Could you have been more cliched with the "sheep" bit? Oh I've never heard that one before. Do you boil all of your water to try to get all that nasty fluoride out?

  • @creepyoldman2 u try to belittle us and attack us and aluagh at us but we will win.

and u r sheeple, u probably love ur floride and ur msg and ur ritalin and ur prozac.

just march into camp fema now.

  • @AnonymousElektron yeah, when I'm done taking all of my medications, I plan on joining a nationalist party and making free expression illegal. I have a framed picture of George Bush in my living room. I attend a biweekly committee that is attempting to turn the UN into a world government. And then I plan on sabotaging alternative energy research so that oil companies can reign supreme. You sir are paranoid. We all smoke weed, but that doesn't mean you should let it get to your head.

  • @creepyoldman2 u probably live in a city and r globalist elite.

u really make me sick do u know what u r??

    u control freak scumbag.

when the nwo happens u will be sent to the fema camps to dont think ur not.

  • @creepyoldman2 "there's fluoride in the water! They are trying to introduce a foreign substance to your precious bodily fluids! " Awesome Dr. Strangelove reference.

  • @AnonymousElektron

"I am not going down without a fight."

The windmills will be very impressed by your efforts.

  • 2:01 genius picture.

  • Everytime you say duesberg I hear ´Douchbag.¨

  • I'm just puzzled how these people can be like this.

I mean how can you ignore evidence right in front of you? What goes on in their minds?

What's worst to me is that there are scientist among them - how can this happen?

  • Wait, there are people who deny AIDs? WTF! I've heard of creationists, but AIDs?

  • Why are these antivac, AIDS-denialist killers allowed to even voice their opinions? Right to freedom of speech ends where others are negatively affected like this.

  • can anyone tell me where I can find the picture on the left at 0:12 ?

  • very informative and enlightening. thanks for sharing

  • lol at the pic @ 1:52

  • sweet...

  • Well, now, you are getting to one of my major nemeses!! I have absolutely NO respect for the Creationists. Some of your allusions here, like the SJ Gould one, will go over the heads of some who will need a bit of a "Cliff note's" study, (as I have done) of Gould's work.

As to HIV AIDS, I'm right with you, and those people have been more dangerous than Creationists.

Again, what great advice as to how to think rationally,!

  • Fantastic video. I have been telling people about this kinda crap for years. That the SHADOW government is out to get us and that every president is a puppet and all these secret organizations are going to take over the earth. I remember watching a series a while back. And he was saying that the world will eventually become united, as it is the only way we can ultimately survive the deep expansion into space. So I think its kinda to be expected that we all come together. not corporation rule

  • Loved it. Anyone intelligent enough to understand this should think about this stuff every single day.

  • This has always been my favorite "documentary" on confirmation bias.

    watch?v=Kt7-Ra9Gbbo

  • Beautiful video. A true jewel.

  • C0nc0rdance, welcome into my salon. Please sit and have a cup of tea with other YouTube greats such as ExtantDodo and DonExodus.

It is a pleasure to have your company. Welcome, Sir. May you continue to shed light upon the benighted.

  • Yet another excellent video C0nc0rdance.

    Well done!

  • Heh well, listen to Maher enough you know he is pretty smart.

That doesn't stop him from not being an expert on politics, science and economy. He sometimes(quite often from what i've seen on youtube) drops

bloopers.... Dont ya ever forget he is a comedian and entertainer, not a teacher or a professor.

  • Thanks for these videos.

I will have great use for them after i graduate, and i will pause and think about them from time to time to keep my conclusions free from these basic misstakes.

I think you need to make a realy bad and unlogical video soon, since i have actually started to take for granted that these videos will be orderly structured and easy to follow, hehe.

  • Good stuff as always, very educational and interesting. More vids, please!

  • My eyes and ears are wide open and waiting for more intelligent information

    Great video/arguement

  • Bill maher and the foo fighters are HIV AIDS denialists?

  • They are also vaccine denialists, subscribe to the free email skeptic newsletter for more info about this

  • Yeah, Maher's position on medicine is one of the few things I don't like about him. On politics and religion he's hilarious none-the-less.

  • Maher is an AIDS denyer?

  • Excellent videos.

    ★★★★★

  • If 10% of all the people in the world thought as logically as you are in your videos. Man I would really have much more respect for homo sapiens as a species.

    once again. 5 stars !

  • Your videos are for sure the most interesting and informative on youtube. Great job!

  • Great videos as always !! thanks so much!

    I have two questions:

1- Could someone please give examples of the 2 questions mentioned at 3:00?

2- Recently I watched a documentary about psychiatric drugs and that they are just for money and there is nothing as chemical imbalance, called "Making A Killing: The Untold Story Of Psychotropic", you can find it on youtube. I am wondering whether it also suffers from the same problems you mentioned in this video about conspiracy theories and stuffs?

  • (cont) or on the other hand, psychiatric field suffers from those problems such as confirmation bias and so on??

  • 5 stars!

  • Great video, thanks!

  • You obviously didn't pay attention to the video, nor understand the scientific method.

  • Jonisdaman@

"as if atheists scientists aren't choosing evidence to support their philosophy."

    Are all scientists atheists?

    Am I an atheist?

What bias would a scientist who was an atheist have when examining scientific data?

It's interesting how you have jumped to such faulty conclusions. Perhaps you should examine your thinking a little more closely.

  • @C0nc0rdance *Gasp* - You're not an Atheist? Is that because you can't falsify your position? Because that's also a logical fallacy.

Great video, though. I'll point out every Ad Hoc hypothesis that I or anyone else around me makes from now on.

  • "as if atheists scientists aren't choosing evidence to support their philosophy. this guy is projecting. another mindless projecting atheists drone"

So, according to you, he is projecting his philosophical bias on other people. The only reason you appear to offer for saying this is that you assume he is an atheist, which clearly shows you are biased against atheism.

You do realize that your statement is a prime example of projection (on your part), right? Was that intended?

  • Do you always ride the short-fail-bus to the comment board? Has the guy that writes your comments ever met with the guy that posts them? Maybe those two guys should get together and figure out exactly what is going on in their heads whose collective content barely manages to surpass the size of a pea.

  • Really great video as usual. It's basically a powerpoint presentation (with voice-over) but it's just so very well made and well formulated.

Keep up the good work Conc.

  • wtf was that the foo fighters in the aids denialist slide?

  • touche' good sir you ideas are quite the check up for some of us here on the "Tube". thanks for some honest input!

  • Sorry if people have already said this several times but...

    Maher isn't an AIDS denier.

  • Uhm... yes he is.

Just do a quick google on Maher AIDS and you'll find quite a few statements of Maher supporting aids denialists and rehashing aids-related nonsense.

Not all that unexpected really, Maher has quite a few insane ideas about health, he's an antivaxer as well.

  • I stand corrected. I RE-watched Episode #172 of Real Time aired on Oct 16 and thought he mentioned AIDS instead of germ theory and inoculation. Great video BTW!

  • Very, good and I learned something thanks. Also, I've never heard of the Aids denialists. That's just cruel.

  • Once Again, C0nc0rdance FTW!

  • @Jonisdaman Oh damn, I was gonna reply to your little baseless insult but it looks like c0nc0rdance already pwned the fucking shit out of you in no less than five lines.

How does it feel to have your stupidity exposed so cruelly?

  • Excellent video.

  • 7:16 That sounds familiar...

Hey, C0nc0rdance, I guess that would make us co-workers then! Wow, I guess all that compartmentalization crap they mentioned at orientation really works.

But I gotta tell ya, it makes it a real bitch trying to get in contact with payroll and HR. I dunno about you, but I haven't gotten a check yet. I'm bettin it's just cause HR borked the direct deposit setup

Flawless execution of total global economic dominion.. and somehow a fucking routing # stumps em.

  • @Sinuev1: That's becuse we're still using the secret illuminati ink for or check processing. It's invisible, like our reptilian black helicopter chemtrails empire. Besides, you're supposed to have a RFID chip, not a checking account. That's day one orientation.

  • *laugh* thanks for that, sinuev1 and magick205. I for one welcome our new alien overlords.

  • @C0nc0rdance I've found there to be an interesting pattern of otherwise reasonable people being too trustworthy of certain scientific fields that have huge industrial and politcal bodies behind them that benefit immensely from specific conclusions.

  • @Rho1811

This is what I have come to call "Argumentum ad conspirata":

Just because an answer would be convenient for a powerful group doesn't automatically make it the result of fraud or deception (eg. medical research showing alt-med to be ineffective compared to a pharmaceutical).

Sure, we should be skeptical when research vindicates some amoral corporation's products. However, rejecting a scientific finding on that basis is not rational.

  • @C0nc0rdance You are correct. The mere possibility of corruption doesn't necessarily prove corruption.

If, however, there is a scientific body that strongly decends from conclusions drawn by a closed scientific community that is attached to inudstrial/political organizations using the same data set, you HAVE to investigate.

What happens, however, is that those decending scientists are ignored and silenced.

  • @C0nc0rdance A study has been done to test the IPCCs claim that their reports are based on peer-reviewed science.

The study revealed that references of 21 out of the 44 chapters in the 2007 report where NOT in the peer-reviewed scientific literature.

    A stunning 5.600 out of 18.500 (30%) references are NOT peer-reviewed!

  • @Rho1811

You're mixed up on your facts or your language usage. In a "citizen audit", 21 out of 44 chapters of the IPCC report were given a grade of "F" by the "citizens" reviewing them.

70% of the references are from the peer-reviewed literature. Some other references were to newpapers of record (NY Times), internally produced documents of the IPCC and other UN working committees, and global science conferences.

This is not different than any other science policy report.

  • Not to mention all the data that contradicts their conclusions and computer models. But that would be to much to explain on a YouTube comment board.

  • @Rho1811

To follow up on your initial comment, do you think there are more interests supporting AGW or opposing it? I can certainly see there would be vested interests on both sides of the issue, but I would have assumed manufacturing, power, oil and other industries would like to avoid expensive emissions caps.

  • @C0nc0rdance Sure, there are financial interests on the other side, too. That's not the point. It's not about outweighing the political motives to decide which side is right.

My point is, one side is claiming that "the science is settled" while omitting huge amounts of data in their analyses (talk about statisitcal significant periods of time), silencing/ignoring decending views on the matter and pretty much peer-reviewing each others work in a relatively closed community.

  • @C0nc0rdance Just to give you an example: the IPCC blamed retreating glaciers and rising sea levels on AGW (which should be called antropogenic nothern hemisphere warming, because it's not really global).

They failed to mention that both phenomena startetd in the late 18th. century (and technically that is in itself only a smaller trend inside a larger trend since the last ice age ended.) right after something called the little ice age!

  • @C0nc0rdance The rate of retreating glaciers actually decreased in the time that is blamed on AGW (1970s+) while rising sea levels have been pretty much constant (short term cycles) since the late 18th. century.

The IPCC can make it look like it is accelerating by starting their graph at the low point of a downward slope in the cycle, you see? They present distorted data that does not cover a large enough time period to be statistically significant in the evaluation of climate change.

  • you make the best videos on you tube hands down. always intriguing. i was wondering what your job is what is your education background ect.?

  • great vid you big corporation spokes person lol jk i am a body builder who competes and i have people who look like shit tell what i should and shouldn't eat because its not organic when they are fucking fat asses that dont work out, i just want to punch them in the face. keep up the good work.

  • I really enjoyed these videos

Thank you for posting them, 5 stars

  • Mmmm... Bacon!

  • I agree with almost everything at this point. I do think, however, you made the fallacy of association when attacking NWO conspiracy theories. You associated the people calling you a shill with all people who believe in the conspiracy theory.

Although there are reasonable intellectual advancements that are not intentionally corrupt. The very structure of the monetary system benefits those who exploit the system. Less patients for a doctor yields a lower standard of living almost always.

  • Can anyone send me a link to Peter Duesberg's CV? I can't find it :/

  • Engrossing

  • A suggestion: at 4:19, it would help to move the annotation links onto the white area to the right of the writing. Better yet, put the links in the description box too.

    Great video, btw.

  • Every time I ask a conspiracy theorist if the NWO provides medical and dental, they never answer me.

  • Duesberg is just such a sad story. It's like he jumped through all these hoops and studied hard in school only to completely ruin his reputation through his contrarian and unmoving positions.

As Stephen Colbert says "the facts may change, my opinion doesn't"

  • The horozontal gene transfer is really a non issue. This is really only the case in some single celled organisms and the transfer of things like mitochondria are so rare they only happened a couple of times.

That said in the lineage from primitve fish up to humans the tree is so strong it's bascially unmovable.

Now things like what hemicordates ancestors and the hypothetical ancenstral deuterstome are slightly more murky but damn I can show that you come from jawless fish.

  • They quotemined Jerry Coyne?

I KNOW that guy. He has a blog called "Why evolution is true" which is a take off of his bestselling book "why evolution is true"

He's an atheist even! He's just skeptical of the evo-devo movement and advocates attemping a slight departure from the usual methods.

    hahaha

  • Thank you sir.

  • Thanks C. You help me train my mind.

I really want to see past mundane reality. Please tell us what you know about phenomenology.

  • Awesome video. But I Bill again?

Just to clear a few things up, can you do a video about him? He always seemed like a rational person.

Then again most of the things I listen to by him are comedic about politics and religion. But to repeat myself, just for kicks maybe and not much effort put into it, can you do a video on him showing what he's wrong on?

Other than that, love your work. Informative and inspiring.

  • Excellent and informative. Thank you.

  • I was rather shocked when I saw a Bill Maher interview in which he behaved as inflexible with his notions about vaccines in view of evidence as the people he criticizes when it comes to religion and politics.

I expected Bill Ma-- wait what the--

    is that the Foo Fighters??

  • The Foo Fighters are BIG AIDS denialists. If the radio starts playing their songs, I change the station. May I suggest you do the same?

  • That sucks I used to like the Foo Fighters too.

  • I didn't know that. That's really a shame.

  • Hm, I didn't know. Strange.

I tend to separate the art from the artist, though. Artists' personalities or prejudices or whatever doesn't really affect my enjoying their art.

Though I'm not really a big Foo fan to begin with, but Grohl's one of my favorite drummers.

  • It's not like they make any money off you listening to them on the radio...

  • That sucks (about Foo Fighters), but sorry, I never let the artist's opinions affect my opinion of their art. Foo Fighters have a lot of great music.

  • What the fuck? What's worse is, I think Dave Grohl is awesome and I'm seriously excited about his project with John Paul Jones and Josh Homme, Them Crooked Vultures.

But he's an HIV/AIDS denialist? I thought the man was smarter then that?

And Bill Maher? These are two people whose intelligence I respect(ed). This is saddening to me.

Brilliant videos, BTW. Both of them. Saw them on League of Reason.

  • @C0nc0rdance I wonder what your position on AGW is.

I mean, as you have correctly stated in this video it is easy to falsely accuse someone of being a corporate shill, but I would argue that it is just as easy to be mislead by corrupted science that is propagating half-truths.

  • according to the people on the FF forums, nate (the drummer) is the denialist, but the rest of the band went along with it and even performed a concert in support of Alive and Well. they've not expressed support for A&W for almost a decade, but they've also never made a statement saying that they've rejected A&W's views as the bullshit they are. sad state of affairs all round, and until they come out and make the statement they've completely lost my respect.

still like their music though :)

  • whate Bill Mare is an aids denier

  • I just read a book you might be interested in. It is called "How We Know What Isn't So (The fallibility of human reason in everyday life)", by Thomas Gilovich. It covers a broad range of ways our minds fail us. Scientists have learned how to keep these weaknesses from preventing them from finding the truth.

  • Excellent pair of videos.

    Keep up the good work.

  • What about Climate change denialism?

  • Speaking of weather change denialism, I had a long argument with one person who denied that the oil company geologists had a bias to support, while he accused NASA climatologists & university professors of bias in order to keep their jobs. We humans are so easily led by our assumptions.

  • It is easy to be fooled when you WANT to be fooled.

  • hey, maybe you are thinking of doing more of this "pitfalls of thinking" episodes? that would be great! theres just too much people who are unaware of this sort of things. sry 4 my poor english!

  • very good vid! rare but important topic.

  • when you started talking about aids denial

whats with the picture of bill mahar? i dont think he denies aids...

but otherwise, good pair of vids.

  • I don't think he does either, but he is one of those who blames "medicine toxicity" rather than germs or disease process, hates vaccines and so forth.

  • well, he doesnt blame All meds, when says those sorts of things, i believe he's referring to anti-depressants and or Ritalin. which everyone seems to be on these days..

  • As pathethic as it sounds, he does.

  • Is it possible to add the external links to the description?

Awesome vid btw, I faved both.

  • great video

  • Good subject well presented.

  • Excellent vid, as usutal. Thank you.

  • Very good. I like to see videos like this.

I've often said that IF I were a crook, with no conscience, no morals, I'd go into the religion business or the weight loss business. Charlatans are making billions with the confirmation bias masses

  • Great work! Love you informative videos. Thanks for taking the time to do them so long and so well.

  • C0nc0rdance, if you continue to create such superb videos so frequently... there's a serious risk that Universe will implode from sheer amount of awesomeness.

  • Great video and great advice.

  • Thanks for another informative video!

  • Funny that you bring this subject when I'm just in the middle of a discussion with the coauthors of a paper about something that could clearly be a confirmation bias.

Problem is, I don't who's biased, them or me. Bigger problem, not enough time to test it before deadlines so we're thinking on just leaving that part out. (Hope I'm the one that's right, I would like to be spared the "I was wrong" embarassment... lol)

  • Oh man, I hate that Bill Maher's got such weird and wrong damn ideas about modern medicine and stuff.

  • Me too, he's so cool about so many other things.

  • Excellent video. I like the example of Deusberg.

  • There's a lot of people who actually buy his bullshit.

  • Bill Maher denies HIV?

  • It would be more accurate to say he is sympathetic to the anti-Western medicine elements of AIDS denialism. He believes most diseases are the result of modern lifestyles. He has positively referred to the work of denialists.

I've lost all respect for him.

  • So you would say that Maher is falling under the fallacy of confirmation bias? (Full disclosure: I don't know much about his ranting against modern medicine, tho I imagine the irony of him putting forth the same kind of nonsense he poo-pooh's the Truthers of using)

  • ive lost all respect for bill when i found that he is big peta supporter..this too offcourse.

  • Maher supports PETA?

  • yeah..hes even member of a board there according to wiki

  • Goddamn. I've lost even more respect for Bill. Nearly every LIBERAL I know hates Peta. Bill is showing himself to be a major hypocrite. And I loved his movie "Religulous", too...

  • i know what you mean..his bullshit detector sometimes isnt really working or something..this is weird, its just i have yet to meet a sceptic who is also a conspiracy theorist or/and member of a cult..

  • You should check out the 9/11-truther movement. I was shocked to find out how many were freethinkers, skeptics, and even Atheists.

At least Bill senses enough bullshit to call bullshit on the Truthers, Creationists, and the War on Drugs. I wish he'd see the bullshit here, though.

I am gonna ask the Richard Dawkins site about Bill getting that award. If it's for promoting science, Bill fails in that category.

  • Bill Maher is a nut.

    His uninformed opinions aren't trustworthy.

  • lol who in the hell would put their trust in the opinions of anyone employed as a comedian. I try and get jokes from Maher since that is what he is paid for.

  • wb -

Yeah, he's a comic and maybe pretty smart.

But it's funny how Maher gets props for 'calling bullshit' on this or that when he's full of bullshit himself.
