This track you mention is actually on the record label called Bassment out of New York, not this Chicago based Basement Records! Always easy to get mixed up as they sound the same.
hell yaeh "LET'S MOVE" I have this record... quality is not too hot... samples are a little off too. but this was definitely a basement track...GOTTA HAVE HOUSE! Chicago made the best house tracks..period!!!
@FunkyVinylJunkie Brother man you could'nt be more right. I been trying to figure out why I like the low fi tracks out of Chicago and you just answered it. F**K the radio. Newark NJ loves Chicago house.
@systemalive: on the sound quality of chicago records: that's what happens when record pressing plants cut corners and use recycled vinyl without even completely scraping the old paper label out of the center..ever notice the lumps and abnormalities in the groove of trax records? but damn, despite that fact, those old underground sounds from that label are pure gold...at least to me...
@ houzbizness: Since i last mentioned the track, i've found it at a very good price on vinyl in ATL..only $7..thanx though..

I have this track on a different release on the same label.
Dreadful sound quality. Is this normal?
systemalive 3 years ago 2
Do you have the Remix version also on Basement Records?
Do you mean your 12" copy is dreadful sound quality? I think most of the Chicago records didn't have the best quality IMHO.
RealFreshBlog 3 years ago
yea, I have the remix version.
This sound quality is particularly bad -even for a chicago record!
systemalive 3 years ago
Same here.I also have the remix version 12" and mine is of equal bad sound quality :(

the low quality of the audio makes it feel more underground.
Also, it just means you have to play it louder!
