@nergblarg Pretty much the same reason for Eliwood. When they promote they are put on horse back which wouldn't work out too well. Personally I didn't care all that much for Erika or Epheriam as characters. There story was forgettable.
@DayLaMike have you played super smash flash 2? (beta i think, its still in development) they got some of your picks in and they did a wonderful job at makeing the move sets. i have to say, mega man's move set was crazy originol. (sorry, cant spell very well) you can just type "super smash flash 2" into google search and BAM! you shall be amazed bro, trust me =D
How about Waddle Dee? Return to Dreamland gave him a spear, maybe that could be incorporated into his moveset. As for his Final Smash, Maybe he can blow a whistle and thousands of Waddle Dee come stampeding across the screen.

@iEviLxHD I'm afraid Eliwood wouldn't work because all Lords included in Smash Bros. are based off their final promoted form with final weapon. Roy is a Master Lord with the Sword of Seals, Marth has his Falchion and Ike is a Hero with Ragnell. Eliwood promots to a Knight Lord in which he gains a horse and his final weapon Durandal. I don't think a character on horse back would work out too well.

The point of AT is to summon NON-Pokemon. Also, would you have PERFERED it if Knuckle Joe didn't even make it in as an assist trophy? King K' Rool was neither a freaking boss nor an AT.
Also, Sonic dosen't really need a major overhall on his moveset, but they should replace a few of his attacks (you know, the nearly identical spindash attacks) with ones from Battle. I don't know why Sakurai didn't use Battle for insperation, but maybe he hates the game or he dosen't know that it exsists.
@BetaComparison5 It doesn't matter to me because I don't use assist trophies and truth be told I play melee more than brawl as it is at the moment.
As far as Sonic, Battle should be more present in his moveset half his attacks are a variation of the spindash. So Sonic gets stale real quick which was pretty disappointing. Also I would like to see him get a little more knock back on some attacks. Not to much but enough to make him more competent. Hopefully Battle will be there next game :D.
@DayLaMike Although kirby's tank DOES float, it would shoot rockets besides lazers and it would have a punching glove that can hover and punch people off-screen! Also, the downloadable character could be Prince Fluff.

O_0 I'm so sorry to hear that you lost one of the greatest gaming consoles ever... uh back to the actual topic on hand it's a nice list with a lot of characters that look like they could work. I did manage to see a couple of the 1st and 3rd party caharacters from my list on there as well and it's good to see that everyone is expecting Zoroark in the same sense as how Lucario got in. I'll work on my list once I get footage from trailers without the waterprint logo on them.

@DayLaMike Aye that N64 is so good for it's library of games and playability, that the Wii needs to be able to play GameCube games and have the Virtual Console to stand up to it's quality.
I recommend after finishing OoT, you get Majora's Mask and Minish Cap. Something without Ganon in it, but with traditional controls. I'm sure Bellum is interesting and not a total lifesucking version of Ganon, but the controls of Phantom Hourglass are hard to get used to/use.
Also thanks for the recommendations though finishing OoT blind is going to take a while as I've heard certain temples can take hours to get through but I'll definitely get those when I'm done! :D

Since my parents have long since divorced my Dad bought me an N64 which stayed at his house. Then he moved so when I went to his new place he informed he lost it...I was near traumatized. I had the original Mario 64, Donkey Kong 64 and Banjo Kazooie. So yeah I was quite upset...for a while. Yes keep your N64 I wish I still had mine!

By the way, you should choose characters with knowledge of their abilities instead of "cause". I don't think some characters are realistic(Sora? Why not Geno or Chrono?), while others are just added because others like them or could think up movesets for you. For example, I would say that it would be more efficient for there to be a Pokemon Trainer 2 with Mudkip, grovile and Blaziken.
I do have to say: Capcom can go to hell for this year's effort...I support selling Megaman to Isafune...

Final Smash gets him the Laytonmobile with wings from Unwound Future to drive through the stage. DO IT!
