Superb small machines and video very successful Austin (as always). The gala seems to have much success given the number of people along the railway. Thanks. Philippe
Superb video Austin, I have watched both parts, and everything was just perfect out to the last second. You really have some talent in how to make good railway videos and how to edit them, wich people like me enjoy very very much. Another masterpiece from you, wich defiantely deserves both of my thumbs, and favourite.
Thanks Mike, it is brilliant to see and hear them working up that incline. I'll definitely be back in October. From what I have read they are trying to plan something slightly different into the mix.
Thanks Wayne, strangely many of these engines did their everyday work on steep gradients such as these. 'Whiston', for example, worked at Bold Colliery near St.Helens and had to contend with gradients as steep as 1 in 17. Great little workhorses.
Thanks very much chaps, she looked and sounded superb, a credit to you. You are more than welcome to a copy of the footage if you wish to put a film together.
Thanks Mark, I really was impressed with the Foxfield and how friendly and enthusiastic everyone was. Its a mystery to me why I've never been before, especially as it's only 65 miles from home
I have put it in my diary, Austin, would certainly be on the Saturday if we came but it's a long way from West Wales . . .See what the weather brings us? . . . . Alan
Absolutely stunning Austin, you've provided me with a HD version of my old VHS footage shot many years ago, and I thank you for that....enjoyed every minute, that bank pulls the crowds, and isn't it wonderful to be able to shoot into the sun and still get images like the last clip....Thanks....Bob
Many thanks Bob, I couldn't tear myself away from the bank but I would have liked some more shots around the colliery, very atmospheric down there. Still, there is always a next time!
Looks challenging weather to climb 1 in 19. Isn't Bellerophon a wonderful piece of machinery.
I notice that Florence seems to have a Giesel injector. I'm not sure one is exactly, apart from a funny shaped chimney, but it seems to work, as Florence was flying up.
There were a few light showers during the morning, apart from that it was dry all day. The Giesel ejector I believe assists steaming (but I only film them, so don't quote me!)
No.75151 is at the Pontypool and Blanavoen Railway now.

Cracking footage Austin. The climb from the colliery is something else. Not been to a gala for a few years so must try and get there in October. Mike

Wonderful. Great to be there and experience that shattering roar from hard-working loco's. I was there 20 years ago - time I went again. . . Alan
