I don't seem to remember this episode being in the regular PBS lineup. The usual Christmas episode shown is The Father Christmas affair. It was WONDERFUL seeing an episode I had not seen yet.

Mrs Slocombe's move between false posh accent and Northern turns of phrase is good. It's like how Kenneth Williams switched between posh and cockney on the Carry On films.

@firebloodblade NO, you're definitely NOT the only one! i've seen many comments about Miss Brahms, my boyfriend thinks she's SO sexy, and i think so too, although i also look upon her with admiration -- even when she's not put in the best light (usually re: her voice or her accent!) she's still just SO lovely and Euro-sexy! :) :)

Thank-you SO much for posting these "Are You Being Served" Christmas episodes! I remember watching these on PBS when I was a kid. It's really put me in the holiday spirit!

I love this show. And it looks like it was just as fun to actually be in it from the holding back laughing on some of their part. I know I couldnt! The reaction from the audience when Mr Humphries mentions a "glee club" is so funny it made me burst out laughing.
