That browser is pretty much useless - it's slow, can only browse one page at a time, no flash support, really FUCKING slow, has a bad interface and also, it's slow.

For your mentioned purposes, there are always flashcards that allow using media players with image and video capabilities.

There's also a homebrewn "comic reader" app(Comicbook DS) that's perfect for manga.

you can count the number of good games on two hands the browser sucks and my iphone has music, movies, an online store to buy music, an online store to buy games, a telephone and can fit in my back pocket and even if you dont want a phone just get an ipod touch. also DS has a ton of games including Elite beat agents, professor layton, gta chinatownwars, big bang mini, castlevenia, animal crossing, Meteos, Puzzle quest, rocket slime, the world ends with you, zelda phantom hourglass, etc.
