'98 was probably the best ever year for DJ battles. By te way, Soulskratch, would you be interested in selling the original vhs of this?

@bugstrut no thanks...sorry I would like to keep the VHS tape of this since I was in this battle. I actually this is my second copy of the battle. I got it off ebay. A friend borrowed my first tape but I never got it back. Hope you enjoyed the clips from the tape!

@soulskratch I got outbid on a copy, on ebay, eithr early this year, or late last year. Anyway,do you know anywhere that I could get any old tapes? I was thinking of trying to contact Alex Aquino, who used to run ITF. Also, I'm looking for Guitar Center battles, Zebra Records battles, New Music Seminars, Vestax Special DJ School tapes and any other obscure stuff.

I don't agree. His battle phrases were better, but his skill routine (mainly scratching) wasn't that fresh. His combos were sloppy, repetitive, and unoriginal.
Infamous had decent disses, but his skill routine (the complex juggle) was much better. It was pretty-well executed and he also incorporated showmanship. I give the second round and the tiebreaker to Infamous.
IXL's first set was better than Infamous' (but also could have been cleaner).

I like style over technicality. thus i like phrases better than a bunch of on tempo double triple single click flare named scratches that the common music enthusiast that isn't a turntablist enthusiast can't differentiate. but we're all entitled to our own opinions :)
