I have a question.. Iv noticed That pastor Winans always has on a chain that raps around his torso..I know most ministers wear a chain around their neck with a cross attached, but pastor Winans simple just wears the chain...Can anyone tell me why or what it is symbolic of, because i have never seen that before and would like some clarity as to what it means...Thanks

@MrWhitt22 I believe that Pastor Winan's is a Bishop. Part of the Bishop's vestments is a cross on a long chain. I can not be sure, I only have seen him referred to as Bishop. If that is true, then that is most likely what you are seeing.

Does anybody know why Bishop wear's that chain around his upper body with no cross on it?

In the Cogic church, most Bishop's have a cross on their chain its normally tucked in to the shirt under their robe, symbolic of keeping the cross to their heart. I've never seeno ne that long and obviously its not tucked in to a shirt so for him maybe its an accessory to the robe he has on.
