  • Thanks for the posting. I've watched this now for about ten times in a row. RIP TP & WH probably the best vocal pairing in modern music..

  • one of my favorite songs, always wanted this song song @ my wedding.... tears!!!!

  • R.I.P.Teddy & Whitney this is why The Lord called you both home

  • Drugs has always been a major part of the music industry throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. They have taken away the lives of some of the best singers and musicians of all time, and have taken away the joy of their fans' pleasure to hear new songs that could have been. Now, the most beautiful voice our world has been blessed to hear has been taken away once again because of drugs. What a terrible loss.

  • :'( rest in peace beautiful and lovely whitney houston

  • Priceless

  • Amazing........Remember time is precious, the most precious of things - enjoy your time x

  • oh my god this is one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard.REST IN PARADISE WHITNEY GOD BLESS YOU!

  • this song is just pure magic RIP whitney&teddy

  • Whitney's part in the second verse from 2:22 to 2:29 is nothing short of stirring. She sings the mess out of that "tonight the magic has begun" line. And I love Teddy's subtle approach on this beautiful ballad. R.I.P. Theodore DeReese "Teddy" Pendergrass, March 26, 1950 - Jan. 13, 2010 & Whitney Elizabeth Houston, Aug. 9, 1963 - Feb. 11, 2012

  • What a pair of voices, RIP Whitney

  • I dedicate this to someone special who was in my life for a short while at the end of 2011 beginning of 2012 I thank you Ms. Whitney & Mr. Teddy for this beautiful song

  • RIP Teddy and Whitney

  • I remember this song and this was my first musical introduction to Whitney Houston. This Teddy Pendergrass project was horrible, but she made this project bearable.

  • My parent's wedding song :]

  • @daimon080 mine too haha

  • : (

  • This the only way I want to remember Whitney and Teddy! What song today has this type of magic?

  • OMG, Thanks for sharing all that info. on both of them, I too, did not know it was her. Thank God, they made this two great voices, so powerful, so beautiful. Bless them.

  • Wow what a track. Romance and love the way it should be, turn it up and hold you lady tight. RIP to you both

  • It was on this song that I first heard Whitney's voice. I think this was one of her first recordings back in the 80s

  • The greatest male voice and the greatest female voice!! I was listening to this 2 yrs ago when Teddy passed away and thinking about him , and now Whitney is gone too. So sad! May they both Rest in Peace. They are singing together in Heaven's choir now.

  • This is my all time favorite Whitney Houston song. Her voice was amazing. RIP to them both, they are a loss to the music world.

  • This song was actually late 1983 before any of her singles came out. I knew then she was great. I loved this song. So sad both are gone.

  • RIP to the both of them.

  • Whitney.....thank you for singing beautiful music. Your songs always made me cry, but thats a good thing in life.....we all go through different experiences in life.... you will always be miss....and I will continue to play your wonderful music. RIP! love you, D"

  • I am tempted to say she is the greatest female singer of all time but then after that i remember Barbara Streisand

  • People tryin to dog her out about her failed marriage and ongoing drug use. Just because she was a singing sensation, doesn't mean she wasn't human. The pressures of life still affect them, just like they do everyone else. There's no such thing as a celebrity pass in life. God created all man equally! So can we please just leave well-enough alone. Everybody goes through something in their life, and we don't always know what, when, or why?

  • @msjustuss1 yes you are so right

  • She had a smile that would light up the room, and a set of pipes that would make a Pope cry...

  • What a beautiful song...I will miss u Whitney

  • thank you Whitney for being the woman you were, you will always remain in my heart as a lovely woman......thank you for making me believe in love....through your music...i have learned what it is....May you rest in peace...

  • It's too painful that for the past years we see our Whitney slipping away slowly before our eyes. But like many of your true fans. I never judge you by how many things you did wrong but how you touched our hearts through you music. Thank you for the memories.

  • A beautiful love ballad performed by two very special artists who are no longer with us. R.I.P. Whitney and Teddy. Your music will live for an eternity.

  • i will miss you voice and more movies, but you will forever live in my heart i am a child of the 80's

  • god bless them both living legends teddy you will be missed 4 ever and you too whitney you had one of the greatest voices ever heard first comes are idle gladys knight

  • Love it ....When I first heard this somg on Teddy's album, I was impressed with the young woman's voice .... All I knew was her name at the time! Her solo in the middle wasn't long, but the luscious quality was a hint of what was to come

  • This song was originally recorded by Diana Ross in 1982 - the title was different though - "In Your Arms". Both versions are very beautiful.

  • this was a beautiful song.RIP Whitney and Teddy.: (

  • One of the greatest pop divas has had her voice silenced by a senseless addiction. Now she is singing with the angels. Whitney Elizabeth Houston your music will endure for many generations to come. Thank you for giving your gift of song to the world.

  • This was my wedding song in back in 1990. Now I guess Whitney and Teddy are singing it for the angels. If you've never read the words to this one, be sure that you do. It IS the perfect wedding song. We had it printed up on white parchment paper and rolled into scrolls tied with maroon ribbons as placesettings for our guests as our gift to them.

  • You're gone with part of me Whitney. I so love you, I'm deeply saddened.

  • This was the best love song of the 1980's and it is a shame that she is gone.

  • ETO UNG UNANG KANTA NI WITHNE PERO MAS SUMIKAT SZA SA KANTANG ALL AT ONCE

  • I played this to my girlfriend on the keyboard, Piano + Strings, she melted like an ice cream right next to me. I would never forget it.

  • THE BEST LOVE SONG EVER

  • This was the first time I heard 'that voice' and it was also the first song I thought about when I heard of her passing. I was only 11 years old when this song was released. Great voices. Great love song. A real classic. R.I.P Teddy and Whitney.

for a wonderful moment in time. I have always loved her thick n thin!

everyone makes mistakes in life, but when their time on earth has

come, we must give them peace and remember the good things.

Remember how much her songs touched all our lives in a very

    positive way!

  • This is the song I fell in love with Whitney Houston. Teddy Pendergrass was already a favorite of mine, but when I heard this song for the first time..it was special. Two fantastic and wonderful talented singers. It's a shame Whitney and Teddy could have done more songs together. The heavens have been blessed with the talents of these two for all eternity. Thank you God, for letting us have the joy of hearing the great singing talents fo Whitney & Teddy.

  • She was 21 when she recorded this not 16. But that is not the point, she rocked the music world, and will be missed!!!!!!!! RIP Whitney!!!!!

  • RIP Whitney Houstin. I am surprised this has happened.

  • May You Both Rest In The Risen Peace of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Now, Always, and Forever.

  • This song is so pure. No "slap-me-freak-me-slam-me" lyrics. Just pure love and devotion.

This will always be my favorite song.

  • No doubt, this was the greatest song of Whitney.

  • I didn't mean to leave out Teddy Pendergrass...his voice is and was incredible....both of them were absolutely perfect in this duet.

  • She was a great lady with a great voice, hope she was in the right standing with God where she can be ushered to join the heavenly choir with that beautiful voice of her, she just add to the choir mein

  • Just heard from my sis Sandy, that one of the best vocal woman singer of all-time has passed away, Whitney Houston is the woman that passed away. Don't kno how she passed or where, but she had a great career in the music business. Her downfall dough was drugs n when she hooked up with New Edition Singer Bobby Brown. U r now in peace n with the Lord Jesus Christ, May God Bless U n ur fam Whitney Houston. RIP Whitney!!!U will be miss, but ur music continues.

  • @chicagocubs71 Would that be the same jesus that TOOK everyone's husband? oh ffs, there is NO god, it's not real, it's like father christmas, do you believe in him too?

  • RIP WHITNEY

  • Oh, Whitney! Your voice brought us joy & I'll share a tear for u 2day. Early 1985 the eve of a timultuous time in the history of our country, South Africa. We were fresh faced youngsters, determined 2 bring down a crazy government. Music was central 2 our lives & we found comfort & inspiration in great songs of the day. This song touched our hearts & brought normality in the troubled times we were in. How I remember those bluesy dances shared with my favourite girlfriends to this song! Ha ha!

  • Utter sadness and shock at the news of Whitney's passing tonight. I love this song. I hope and pray that Whitney and Teddy are free at last from the harshness of their tragic lives here on earth. RIP. Wonderful, soulful voices that I will never forget. ;-(

  • RIP my angel. My heart is crying... The angels hold you tonight, Whitney.

  • I remember when this song played on the radio. Tonight I was taken back to that time. RIP Whitney.

  • R.I.P. Teddy and Whitney

  • @marslover5 This is when I first heard her beautiful voice. I remember !!

  • Whitney & Michael; "I Will Always Love You!" "I Love You More!"

Hardships are over. You are home where you belong!

  • I'm from NJ near Newark also. I remember in my teenage years she was so popular everyone you came across said Whitney was their cousin. Of course "we" were lying. I don't know one person who didn't love Whitney! Even in her worst times, she was still beautiful and we still loved her and wanted her to emerge from her troubled times successful! Many celebs have died but MJ &Whitney were the only ones I cried for. These were beautiful people inside and out. They were loved world all over the world!

  • My favorite whitney houston song.

  • There will never be another like you, Whit... We are going to miss you so bad....

  • I'm just speechless.

  • R.I.P. to two of the greatest...

  • Heartbroken to hear of beautiful Whitney's passing. I hope her and big bro Teddy can meet and embrace in a heavenly song. Blessings and God's strength to Bobbi Kris and Whitney's family and friends..you are family to us for so many years..you will not be forgotten in our

    prayers..

  • so sad rip whitney an teddy

  • Funny thing is when we all heard the news everyone was talking about "i will always love you, greatest love of all, i have nothing etc" but this was the first song that came to my head, hard to believe Whitney was like 16 years old when she recorded this, incredible talent, 2 of my favourite singers of all time. R.I.P Whiteny & Teddy.

  • @W1nky13 This was recorded in 1984, Whitney was 20 at the time. Two awesome talents gone way too soon!

  • @W1nky13 I second that. This was the first song I ever heard Whitney sing on and I was hooked. I bought her first two albums and wished I could sing like her. it's surreal to think she's gone. I can't believe this!

  • @W1nky13 Not to steal your thunder, but she was 20 I believe. Still. Your thoughts are fitting

  • @W1nky13 16 you've got to be kidding? Her entrance in this song is just beautiful! This woman has generated so so so many classics! Just beautiful music unmatched by what's out now. She was a gift to us.

  • @W1nky13 Same here - just think - while we're in tears the angels are welcoming her to the choir

  • And this was the reason for what she didn't win the grammy to best new artist years later....

  • @W1nky13 Yes, when I think of Whitney this song came to my mind because I remember how much I loved it when I heard it for the first time....that beautiful, powerful, sweet voice of hers....

  • @W1nky13 I agree; this song and You Give Good Love are my favorite romantic ballads from her. May she rest in peace.

  • @W1nky13 This was the first song I thought of as well after the news today. This was my wedding song over 20 years ago. I didn't realize she was only 16 when she recorded it. I loved it from the first time I heard it. May Whitney and Teddy rest in peace.

  • @W1nky13

  • RIP Whitney & Teddy

  • Both of them are now gone to the mercy of God.

Whitney, whenever I drive down Highway 395 and see the glorious Sierras, I will think of when I did that drive in 1984 and listened to this song.

  • I just want to hear as many of her songs that I can remember as one might say the very good days.......Love you, Whitney

  • another great singer gone.this is the very first song i ever heard her sing back in the 80s and i was hooked on her voice. hope she is now at peace from all the demons in her life.

  • This song was the first time I heard Whitney's voice and spent weeks wondering who she was...while I love Teddy Pendergrass, I became obsessed with finding out who the owner of this angelic voice was. Her legacy will surely live on...you're now at peace and free from all your struggles. Sleep well Whitney.

  • R.I.P Whitney, we will surely miss you, you are a true legend and always will be, God bless you!
